It's very likely that December 15th's home game against the Titans will be the first game to be blacked out locally since 1991. This is sad, as the Chiefs have had some of the best fans in football in recent years. Oh well. People are really getting tired of this team and its management. Carl Peterson is incompetent to say the least.

The Kansas City Chiefs are known affectionately by the liberal media as the first team to have a roster that was comprised of more than 50 percent black players. This was back in 1970-1971!!!
Sure they beat Minnesota in Super Bowl IV, but were trounced by the vastly majority white Green Bay Packers a couple years earlier. How many Super Bowls has Kansas City been to since? (rhetorical question, of course)
I mean a few years later the Dolphins went 17-0 with a predominantly white team. The Raiders kicked around the Chiefs for most of the seventies with a majority white team that in 1975 featured two white running backs (Van Eeghen and Banaczak) who were the leading rushers on the team. The 1983 World Champion Raiders had more white starters on defense than black starters.
More recently, Kansas City hastreated white wideouts Robb Thomas (a few years back) and Marc Boerigter (recently) horribly. Have they even had a white linebacker since Dino Hackett? Yeah, the multi-talented Scott Fujita who they traded to Dallas for a draft pick.
Jared Allen is the best player on the team, bar none. I hope he leaves as soon as he's free agent eligible.

I'm not a Chiefs fan. I was actually raised a Steelers fan, so that's who I root for. I just know what's going on with the Chiefs because I live in KC. I guess that being a Steeler fan is worse, right?
I will admit that the Steelers, and Anthony Smith in particular for running his mouth, got what they deserved.

It just goes to show how dismal the Chiefs have been, and for how long, when to give examples of white wide receivers we have to talk about Robb Thomas (circa 1990) and Mark Boerigter who had one active season with them. I think Schottenheimer has a lot to do with this.

His father Aaron was a WR for the Giants in the 1960s and had a decent but not great career.
The Chiefs were indeed the Jacksonville Jags of the late '60s and early '70s, and really ever since then. That's one reason Hank Stram was regarded so highly by the Caste media. Jack Del Rio played for the Chiefs in the '80s; maybe that's where he received his indoctrination into anti-white fanaticism.

Good point about LaChapelle, Don. LaChapelle was so talented that he left college after his junior year for the NFL Draft. I remember thinking at the time, "hey, this guy must be good enough to be an NFL star, I mean he's skipping his senior year. How many white receivers do that."

Dude, great post. I remember all of these guys accept Lockwood, even though I'm only 22 now. I remember Farmer the most, as he was the most recent NFL "screw-job." Farmer could jump out of the gym (volleyball player) and had the speed to match. A truely talented individual who should be held to the same esteem as Randy Moss in terms of skill potential. Yes, nice post. Miller was used as a kick returner but not as a wideout by Don Shula, symbolic of how a great, predominantly white team in the '70s through the mid-'80s went almost all-black by the early '90s.
Wellman was used quite a bit by the Oilers in the second half of the '93 season when Warren Moon was the QB, and excelled. He was uncoverable, much like Wes Welker, and was better than the team's much-heralded "smurfs."His reward was to be drummed out of the league after just 10 receptions in '94.
Lockwood was used as the Patriots' feature back in the last game of the '92 season. He gained over 120 yards. His reward was to never have another touch in the NFL.
Affholter had 7 career catches in the NFL.

I remember seeing Aaron Thomas play for the NY Giants on TV in the 1960's. In 1963, he played tight end at under 210. Aaron Thomas caught some long ones from Y.A. Tittle that year.
Lockwood's story really bothers me. Here's a man who started for USC as a tailback in the Rose Bowl as a freshman. Nonetheless, by his senior year he was a fullback for the Trojans. This speedster by no means had the size to be a fullback. He was about the size of Blake Ezor.
