I just finished reading the love letter that FOX SPORTS Peter Schrager wrote today about Newton. He claims, among other things, that, of course, his talent is "limitless" and that he will be a combine star. His athleticism is elite (I call B.S on that, I bet he times mid 4.6) he has all the "tools" to be a star at the next level. What I find so shocking, even for the MM, is that he is basically a black version of Tim Tebow, minus the impeccable character, will to win and, obviously, intelligence. Tebow was thought of as a 3rd round pick by most "experts" (i.e McShay) How can anyone possibility view Newton as that much of a superior talent to Tebow? My point is, this hype job by the media about Newton by our self hating white media types and "chosen ones" will have to wake up even the most retarded DWF. Am i right to think that this is going to backfire, even the retards that follow the draft will have to see the double standard. So what do you all think?

No mention of his room brightening smile?

Black athlete worship does not appear to have a downside. I recently heard that Newton signed the largest athletic wear promotion contract for a rookie ever. This before he has even signed with a team! The previous highest? Reggie Bush. Look how that worked out. Notice Tim Tebow, is nowhere near those guys even though his NFL jersey sales are better then anyone's. Now why would apparel companies pass up all of that money with Tebow? Is Tebow's religious fan base money not as good as all of the ghetto and DWF/whigger money that Newton will attract? It just doesn't seem to make good $$$$$ense.

How about the Raiders and their disasterous run with Jamarcus Russell? Or the Titans problems with Vince Young. Hasn't going down the wrong road with those guys cost their teams plenty of money?

If sponsors don't want to sign the guy that will make them the most money, if teams don't want to sign the guy that will win them the most games, and instead play racial politics, then why should sports writers care if they over inflate the credentials of another quoataback? Who ever calls them on it? There is no financial punishment, there is no negative media feedback. So the wrongheadedness of pimping black busts is a no-lose proposition. Expect it to continue, unabated, like it has for decades.

Reggie Bush is still being showered with endorsement money despite being a bust, and returning the Heisman Trophy.

LeBron James was guaranteed over $80 million in corporate endorsement money out of high school before he had played in an NBA game.

Tiger Woods' "fall from grace" was so severe that the still-spitting, still-club-throwing, still-glaring prima donna earned but a paltry $72 million last year in corporate endorsements.

Let's remember again that priceless DWF mantra: Sports is color blind and there's no agenda to lift the black athlete at the expense of the White one.

didn't the sCam hype begin a few years ago when he signed with Florida? it de-railed, of course, as black love so often does ... then, it reared its ugly head like a half-blackbastard child about nine months after he transferred to a juco and has continued for the last year or so.

just as with DuhMarcus no-Muscle, Vince "Radio" Young, Tavaris Jacksoff, and the dude who was drafted by the Bunglesand was so bad even the negrophile media refuses to call for his return (Akili Smiff), the wheels will come off this night train, too. as Tom Iron likes to say, it's just a matter of time.Edited by: Jimmy Chitwood

Every time the media says -- "Newton is a better passer than Vince Young".. I get a kick out of it. I can't help myself!

Whether the statement is true or not, the media is essentially announcing that.. "we found our new black hope." Just lovely..

I haven't heard that as of yet, Deadlift. What I have heard is that Newton is a better pro quarterback than Tebow. He apparently has better accuracy, footwork, and athleticism. The only thing them media gives Tebow credit for is his leadership.

Several members of ESPN have said it. They are clearly trying to "justify" Newton being selected "in Vince Young (draft) territory"..

The only unknown with Newton is just what it is, he'll do to louse himself up. It could be any one, or combination of things. Possibly holding up a liquor store and beating a vietnamese female clerk half to death because she was slow giving him the $33.71, all the while having $7,537.67 in his pocket to jumping a turnstyle in the NYC subway system and fighting with the cops who try to ticket him and getting shot in the spleen, thus ending his football "career." The only thing known factor is he Will, most definitely screw up.

Cam Newton has gone from being a questionable first round pick to now #3 overall on draft "guru" Mel Kiper's big board. It's happened in a matter of about 2-3 months. I'm still not sure what has possibly changed for him to make such a dramatic jump.

Kiper, of course, is the same clown who was (and still is) one of the biggest Tebow bashers last year heading into the draft. He made it quite clear that Tebow could not play QB at the NFL and projected him as a 2nd or 3rd rounder, and switching to a different position. He flew into a rage and nearly blew a fuse on live TV when the Broncos had the audacity to go against his advice and pick Tebow in the first round.

How the heck did this man become such an influental draft expert? Why is he the ultimate guru who gets all the publicity and credibility thanks to ESPN? The agenda is all to easy to see here. Perhaps only the drunkest of DWFs and SEC nut-huggers believe Newton can become a legit NFL QB.

I hope he gets picked #1 overall. The higher he gets drafted, the bigger bust he will be. Nothing we hear about him is any different than what was said about Culpepper and Vick revolutionizing the position, followed by Russell and Vince Young.

At the end of the day, the most important position in all of professional sports is still dominated by white men.

Heisman Trophy winner</A> Cam Newton created a stir on Tuesday when he said that he views himself as more than a football player.

According to Peter King, Newton said: "I see myself not only as a football player, but an entertainer and icon.''

Newton also told Dan Wetzel of Yahoo that he wants to be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft. When asked to comment on the criticism that he only played on year in college football, the 2011 BCS champion showed his confidence in himself.

"I'm aware of that statement," Newton said. "I don't want to sound arrogant but I did something in one year people couldn't do in their whole collegiate careers."

The 21-year-old will participate in this week's NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.

Later in the interview, Newton pointed out that it takes hard work in the offseason and regular season to be as good as other quarterbacks like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

with all the recent self-adulating idiocy spewing forth from the yellow-toothed mouth of the latest negro "chosen one,"the pictureshould suddenly become clear why Auburn's coaching staff forbade sCam from speakingto the media this past season.

of course, if the DWFs could/would connect these types of dots, they wouldn't be DWFs ...

What's the status on this a-holes situation with his father trying to extort money from schools to get this black quarterback to play for them? All forgotten? Anyone asking about it while they write glowing scouting reports? Gone down the memory hole? Need I ask?

from rotoworld:

Auburn QB Cam Newton told SI's Peter King Tuesday that he sees himself "not only as a football player, but an entertainer and icon."
Responding to a question about his limited experience, Newton also tells Yahoo's Dan Wetzel: "Not to sound arrogant, but what I did in one year others couldn't do in their entire collegiate careers." Together, the two quotes may put a screeching halt to Newton's upward momentum. Teams clearly have concerns about Newton's priorities and character as well as his team of handlers. The mentality that fostered entertainment icon LeBron's "Decision" may play in the NBA, but it won't fly with NFL scouts and coaches. If Newton is so dead-set on reaching icon status, he should study the careers of Brian Bosworth and Ryan Leaf.

Wonder why rottenworld did not mention dumbmarcus russell? or Andre Smiff? Those are the most recent careers affelet or not that sCam should study, that is if he even understands the concept of studying?

Freakin typical, Bosworth and Leaf, White "busts" from 10 or more years ago, no mention of the dozens of black busts since, no comparison to guys he DOES resemble, like Jamarcus Russell. What no Mandarich comparison!! Weenieworld must be slipping.

In 1999 it was Mcnabb, Smith and Culpepper. In 2001 it was QB Dog Killer. In 2006 it was Vince Young. In 2007 it was Jamarcus Russell. It's now 2011 and the new black quarterback hype job is Scam Newton.

Its clear as night and day to anyone with a functioning brain cell that their is a claer agenda to disproportionately promote Black athletes. Its amazing that guys like Reggie Bush,Cam Newton with his character/scum bag issues and the countless basketball stars are signing bigger marketing deals than clean cut, clean living intelligent young athletes like Tebow. Are these athletes really more marketable or have more marketing potential than White ones?I really dont think so even with all the DWFs.Many people dont like Blacks or are indifferent towards them and a great majority dont want to live around large numbers of them.Theirs obviously a social agenda behind the treatment of Tebow and other White athletes and the pushing non stop of intellectual pygmys with scumbag issues like Newton and Vick.
