Cousins..close to establishing himself as a franchise quarterback, likely much to Snyder's chagrin.
Yeah, Cousins is 12-6-1 over the last 19, and did the right things to close out the Detroit game, which was lost in the closing seconds by a soft defense. Could've realistically been 13-5-1. Stats are solid, won the division last year.. there isn't a QB controversy there. But I just saw a
Scouting Report article @ the NFL's site this morning, that gave Cousins another skeptical review.
It was widely reported how much Snyder was personally invested in Griffin, but it seems like Snyder is now cool moving forward w/Cousins. Snyder's stock has been rising in my eyes with Cousins at his helm, and his defiantly defending the honor of the Redskins' name. Guess we'll see about Cousins' future.
In Kirk's defense, Washington hasn't really been a franchise QB factory. I'd say Cousins is the best, most reliable Redskin starter since Rypien.. I'd take him over Jason Campbell, Frerotte, a nearing-retirement McFlabb, Griffin, Shuler..
