Well, I'm not saying that Butterbean would have been a champion or anything, but he did fight while grossly obese, he probably could have gone down at least one weight division. Kimbo doesn't even have that excuse. Wonder how many fights he'd have won with a 50 lbs sack strapped to his midsection?

Because I think any UFC heavyweight would beat him and finish him off for good as any type of main or mid -card event which Dana would like. But all that being said, I think Dana doesn't sign him because he is a embarrassment to MMA, doesn't deserve to be in the UFC and he doesn't want the criticism that would come from the hardcore MMA and UFC fan that would come from such a signing. Maybe the next time the UFC reality show features the heavyweights, Kimbo might get a spot on that show if he had the guts to take it.

White responded with: "He's done nothing. In fact, he's probably set us back. The fact that he was on the cover of ESPN The Magazine makes me sick. There are so many superior athletes in the sport. He's not a real fighter, not a real mixed martial artist."
My thoughts exactly.

They never pursued making a deal to televise any UFC events and I think that is going to hurt them. MMA is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. The rateing for televised events are much higher then that of Friday night fights and MMA merchandise(Shirts and action figures) is selling very well in the stores. Donald Trump, Calvin Aire, Roy Jones, and Mark Cubin and all tring to get in on this Business. Yet ESPN chooses to air these stupid poker shows.
As for Kimbo if the WWE doesn't work out he will probably be on Dancing With the Stars or develope a drug habit and go on Celebrity Rehab.

Hope not. He is married and has six kids.

Straight talk from Dana. ESPN broadcasts out of the head office of the NFL so naturally they are shocked when others do not cooperate with their propaganda.
