Big weekend of boxing approaching. There is Kelly v Martinez and Bute v Miranda.

If Kelly shows up like the first two Taylor fights he wins by late KO or UD. However, if he shows up like he did against Bopkins, I could see him getting stopped by the super fast and ackward Martinez. I believe it will be the former.

If Kelly looks impressive he should make the PFP top fifteen or ten. I will be Vegas this weekend, I will drop some green on Kelly and Bute!

The Hopkins fights and injuries put Kelly into a bit of a funk. Add to that the challenge of keeping your focus after you've reached the top, there's the possibility that Kelly may have peaked. Martinez is just the type of guy to give Kelly trouble. Which is good. Let's see if The Ghost still has it.

Martinez clearly is a busy fighter, lots of movement. Kelly will need to measure his jabs, use angles and time the right hand. At least Pavlik will not have to look for his opponent in this fight. Kelly has the power to end it at any time, but I look for a mid to late round stoppage.

This is not a done deal, because with Martinez's unorthodox, dare I say negro boxing style, it could get interesting. None the less, the fight should reestablish Kelly and get him right back on top, hopefully set to fight the next negro in line.

Incidentally, Kelly Pavlik is to me, a modern sports hero (along with the K brothers),as his turning the lights out on Edison Miranda and dismantling Sad Intentions Taylor (both of whom have not been the same, since they lost to Kelly) were watershed events in the middle weight division and a boon for White boxing fans around the world.

Win, loose or draw against Martinez or anyone else, Kelly Pavlik has my unending admiration for his mark in sports history.

Where the hell is everybody? Kelly Pavlik is fighting tonight! Remember him? Tall lanky Slovak/Irish kid with a blue collar style and heavy hands? Owner of three of the greatest wins by an White American fighter in the last several decades? He's fighting tonight. And there ain't no question is he white or not. He's just about as white as it gets. Even his nickname "The Ghost" is a direct reference to the racial travails he has faced as a White American boxer.

All true Caste Footballers should be either camped in front of their TV tuned in to HBO, or at at bar somewhere watching the fight.

If you aren't I want to know why! No lame excuses either.

Go Kelly!

Come on Pavlik. I would love to see a knockout against a very good fighter. It would send a message to the whole weight class!

You know any sites I can catch a stream-cast of the Pavlik fight? Still watching Strikeforce, but it might be over for the Pavlik fight.

Looks like Sergio is getting tired from all the pressure applied by Kelly.

Kelly's starting to find his range and is back in the fight.
