He's apparently gotten very good council on dealing with his boneheadedness. Like others have mentioned above, I expect that legally he will get a slap on the wrist. From a $$ perspective though he will be selling that Lambo and 'Vette after they are fixed to settle the civil litigation coming his way from the injured parties and to offset his 4-6 game unpaid suspension from the NFL.

I didn't look up his specific numbers, but an early second round pick will generally make around $2 million a year for his first four years. A lot of money for you and me, but goes fast for people who spend foolishly like this fellow. Not to mention the cost of "makin' it rain" at the local strip clubs of which there are plenty of in his Dallas hometown.

One of the things that Mahomes does that very few other QB's do. He rents facilities in Dallas and invites not only his current teammates but also potential draft picks and available WR's TE's and RB's. Justin Watson cemented his roster spots with his work here. Glad that Rees-Zammit is there, makes a huge difference. I haven't looked in to who else is there, be neat to see how many crackers are roaming the grounds.

I stumbled upon the pat macafee show on YouTube the other day talking about this guy. Kendrick Perkins didn’t seem too impressed. He wasn’t really sure if the Welshman was enough of a “dog”.
Honestly, this guy is an imbecilic embarrassment. I have no clue why anyone would want him on there as a commentator

No doubt. What does that even mean? That Rees-Zammit is not going to have enough of an attitude? From looking at how the Euros are kicking ass in the NBA, they certainly are proper "dawgs" of "doggs", who's to say a wave of rugby stars won't turn out the same?

Nothing better than that could happen to the nfl. Think about the country of Argentina alone. A nation of approximately 45 million people which is actually whiter than the us and is a decent but not top most tier rugby nation. If they produced ten - fifteen players a year that were nfl capable it would be amazing. And that is just one example.

Honestly if LRZ breaks in it really could be a game changer. Imagine the lateral plays that could be designed?

I think it would make the game not only whiter but potentially much more interesting

I found an interesting interview with Louis Rees-Zammit on a podcast with one of his former Wales rugby teammates, Dan Biggar. (link here)

In the interview he talks about the transition from rugby training to football training, and how he ended up signing with Kansas City. He said it was most likely he would start out as a kick returner - while getting snaps on offence would depend on how quickly he could pick up the playbook (and the game itself).

He also talked about his 40 time (4.43 seconds), which he said he was a bit disappointed with.

"The 40 yard dash didn't go as I'd liked, I know I'd run way quicker in the lead-up to it. I was running high 4.2s, low 4.3s ... but it is what it is."

"I'm not a sprinter. I've never done track and field, I've never done athletics. I'm not used to running in a straight line, I'm more about game speed, being able to run in a match, being able to weave. I assume the coaches have picked up on that, because my 40 (time) was good, but it wasn't amazing."

I'd say the best scenario is for one of Steele or Rees-Zammit to see decent playing time. Starter Pacheco runs very hard and is fun to watch, but it wouldn't be surprising if he gets injured given the high injury rate of RBs.

After him is first round bust Edwards-Helaire, who could have signed with any team as a FA but was seemingly unwanted and ended up back with the Chiefs. And then there's several dime a dozen run of the mill Black RBs as deep backups, the kind that every NFL team has rather than ever giving White RBs an opportunity. So there's a chance, not much of one but a chance, that either Steele or Rees-Zammit could play a role this season. Both? That's for dreamers given how the NFL operates.

To repeat, the answer is no, barring a slew of injuries to other running backs and probably not even then. It doesn't matter whether you, or I, feel Steele "deserves it," if the Chiefs or any other team saw him as starting material he would have been drafted. He has a chance, a small chance at that, to get some decent playing time at some point, whether this season or down the line. He has the talent and a unique look and should be thought of as a potential starter, but that's not how the NFL works.

It's an interesting situation on the Chiefs with Steele and Rees-Zammit. Rees-Zammit was brought in at special teams coach Dave Toub's request with the new kickoff rules being considered. Depending on how he does here will determine if the Chiefs look for more opportunities to get the ball into his hands.

Steele on the other hand fills a different need. With 3rd down back Jerick McKinnon not being re-signed, that's where Steele fits in if he can stay healthy and perform. He's got good size, pass blocks well and is excellent out of the backfield with soft hands. If this works out it would be tremendous as McKinnon was a touchdown machine in this offense.

You would think that even in the original DEI corporation, otherwise known as the NFL, this would get the guy fired. After all, there is an “endless” pipeline of blacks to replace him with, since merit is not applied. But we know better. This “good boy” needs a few more chances still before he’s “Ray Rice’d”.

There's pretty much zero chance that the Chiefs would relocate outside of the KC Metro area, it doesn't matter how much San Antonio offers.. However a move across the border to KCK is definitely a possibility as they've got the site set and the Kansas Gov is all in. The main problem with the current location and situation is the Jackson County executive Frank White. This fool still wants to mandate mask wearing.

Teams only relocate now if city and state governments don't give in to owner demands and don't force the taxpayers to cough up the money directly or indirectly for new facilities. Arrowhead Stadium is ancient by NFL standards but Kansas City and Missouri will undoubtedly be given time to submit to what ownership wants before the threat to move becomes substantial.

Oakland wouldn't build a new stadium and so lost the Raiders and shortly the A's. Same with Arizona and the Coyotes relocating to Utah. The Pittsburgh Penguins came very close to moving to Kansas City's new arena (still unused by the NBA and NHL) after new stadiums were built for the Steelers and Pirates, before a new arena was finally built for them.

It's very difficult to imagine Kansas City without the Chiefs, but the Browns left Cleveland, and the Colts left Baltimore due to owner greed. It's highly unlikely but not impossible down the road.
