They are saying this is the richest fight in history. Plus 90K tickets sold at Wembley Stadium. I really hope Wlad can win spectacularly and put the Fury debacle behind him.

This Joshua fight may not be as dangerous as some seem to say. Klitschko is hands above with skill that Joshua has not seen, felt, or aware of. They are both fit, so fitness is not really a factor in this fight. Yes, Joshua is younger, but he's fought but 18 contests to date. Joshua is not so much a boxer but a slugger with good boxing technique, whereas Klitschko is still a mobile boxer with power. All of Joshua's wins have come from punching, and punching at close range with fighters that stood in front of him. Klitschko knows this as well as anyone. Had Dillian Whyte elected to box with Joshua, when the two fought a couple of years ago, he likely would of had himself the victory as he had no problem landing on Joshua though he was the smaller man with less reach.

Klitschko needs his jab to win; last against Tyson Fury, he couldn't land his jab and that put him off entirely. Fury is too tall, too long, and too skilled. Joshua is more of a compact body, so fewer skills. The jab is to Klitschko what a balancing pole is to a high wire walker; without the jab, Klitschko is without balance. Klitschko will be able to land his jab on Joshua is he wants to. With his swollen eyes filled with salt sweat and late-round spin in his head, Joshua will make a softened up target for Klitschko to bombard back into retard while re-claiming his crowns.

Great analysis, Wlad needs that jab fast, accurate and jarring. If it is, easy work. We shall see.

Joshua seems to fight with one gear and has a build similar to Frank Bruno who used to fall apart late in fights because of excessive muscles he carried on his frame. But Wlad is 41 and out for a year and a half, So who knows if he can take advantage of these flaws.
PS. don't let the odds fool you, they are what they are because English customers are the main bettors for this fight.

Thomasz Adamek, who is making a comeback, has this to say:

"Adamek also expressed his opinion about Saturday’s mega fight in London. “It should not be a difficult fight for Wladimir. Maybe Joshua could be quicker. Maybe more aggressive because he’s younger, but Klitschko’s experience will be the key,” said Adamek.."

He's just turned 41 and its old but not too old 44,45 is too old. When Foreman fought Holyfield he was 42 and still had decent handspeed as he rocked Holyfield a few times and fought better against him than Tyson did but by the time Foreman was 45 he was a fat slow old guy.I expect Klitschko to win by knockout as he moves better off the backfoot and has the superior power with either the jab, right hand or left hook.Klitschko's left hook is one of the hardest punches ever thrown in a ring, phenominal power when he plants his feet and if he lands that clean or the right hand he will end the fight.

I don't know. Vlad seemed a bit gun shy against Fury, who doesn't hit near as hard as Joshua. But if he can still pull the trigger Vlad has decent chance even at forty-one. Neither has a granite chin so who lands a big punch first should win.

That they have sparred favors Vlad I think as he has a much higher boxing IQ than Joshua. He is a real chess master in the ring and his plan will be superior to Joshua's.

Executing the plan with past his prime (no matter what Vlad believes) tools is the question.

Who handles the pressure better will make a difference. The Ukrainian has much more experience in that regard.

Peter Fury tells what Waldimir Klitschko should do to beat Anthony Joshua

Peter Fury gives his opinion on what Wladimir Klitschko should do to beat Anthony Joshua:

With Wladimir, he's got to give Joshua stuff that he's not seen in his past 18 fights. Basically, the skill of the game, realising that you can't hit opponents when you think you are going to hit them, realising you are not going to be able to get that big shot off.

Just messing him around, tying him up, using his experience, catching Joshua with clean shots on the way in, softening him up.

Also, Klitschko has got good footwork - use that footwork, keep presenting the angles for Joshua, and keep knocking him about with the jab. Sooner or later, you've heard the saying: 'They get that many jabs, they are begging for a right hand'. That's Klitschko's style.

I think Klitschko will come out and show something different. I think he will come out also a little bit aggressive, but controlled aggression. I think that's what we are going to see from Klitschko.

If the public workout is anything to go by Klitschko is looking in phenominal shape, his footwork is the best i've seen it and his jabs and straight rights look fast and snappy.Klitschko in this fight has to move off the backfoot like a balerina and create the angles for the left hook and right hand.Any heavyweight that cant fight off the backfoot will be knocked out eventually or outboxed no matter how much power they have.History shows this.happened to Jack Dempsey,Sonny Liston,George Foreman[who had immense power in the 70's]and Mike Tyson and will happen to Anthony Joshua. All of them past fighters were similar to Joshua killers blasting everyone away but all were beat by scientific boxers. The difference between fighters like Tunney and Ali[who beat stronger men]is that Klitschko hits harder than any heavyweight in history so he can box off the backfoot and has the advantage in movement and angles plus end the fight with one punch.Unless Klitschko has slipped or gets caught i honestly cant see him losing this fight.Steve Bunce who's a bit of a nonce at times stated this aswell.

You beat me to the punch(so to speak). Wlad looked as close to his prime as a 41 year old fighter can be doing pad drills and circling the ring. Of course things are different when an opponent isn't letting you rest and trying to knock you out. But if any poster can afford to spare money for a small bet he is a very live underdog.

Ps. I don't know if you can compare this version of Wlad to any other former champion around his age who attempted a comeback as they either had much worse skills erosion or had this plus physical erosion. Holmes when he schooled Mercer might be the closest blue print but even there Holmes had man boobs and moved around the ring like he had a stiff back. Vitali while fit and a few years younger had a much less fearsome opponent in Peter than Joshua. This potential upset could be precedent setting.

Peter is one of the best trainers of boxing. He has taken two very big, tall men and turned them into craftsmen. He knows his way out of the maze as well as anyone that made it. Klitschko is not 51, he's still has his legs, and his know-how is better today than it was 10 years ago. Joshua is going to lose the battle at Jericho.

Joshua-Klitschko officials named

Officials have been named for Saturday’s heavyweight title clash in London between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko. Referee David Fields, of New Jersey, will be the third man in the ring, while Don Trella (Conn.), Nelson Vazquez (Puerto Rico) and Steve Weisfeld (N.J.) will score the 12-round bout for Joshua’s IBF belt and the vacant WBA title.

The key for Wlad will be a cracking jab and quick movement and angles. Can he do it at 41? We shall see. One thing I do not expect is a pathetic fight like his last time out against weirdo Fury. That will not happen. It will be bombs away by Joshua, hoping to blast out Wlad in sensational fashion. Wlad will have to rely on his skills and moxie for the win, hopefully, a late KO.

It's a version of the Teutonic Cross.

A little more inspiring than the ham hock I was rocking a while back.

Is that a Celtic cross on yours Westside?

I dont rate Joshua, but what concerns me for vlad is his lack of "pulling the trigger" in the Jennings fight. Plus, Joshua should, hes 28, vlads 41.

I just hope Vlad putd in a great performance, win or lose, hes looks in great shape,
