Deion Sanders is typical among the Black former athletes who are in his position in the media. Always conscious of his own athletic record, Sanders will always be slightly guarded even when praising fellow Black athletes, because he feels that overpraising them might diminish his own accomplishments, or make people forget the fact that he was a professional athlete at one time as well.
Even when exorbitantly praising fellow Blacks, there will be constant allusions to his own feats (or, it is made sure that some white ****** next to him will remind the audience, lest they forget), again, because he is insecure (like most Blacks are, hence the phantom hamstring pull every time one of them gets his ass kicked in a sprint, or burned for a touchdown, etc.) and loves to preen and be showered with praise and attention, as are most narcissists.

considering Edelman played 51 percent of his snaps on the outside, most of White receiving yards came from the outside this year, and most of our top guys are over 6'1. Edelman is 5'11 and Welker is 5'9.

Yep, Jordy really sold himself short last contract but it's understandable to a degree given the always tenuous position of White receivers in the NFL.
Jordy and Wes Welker are the two most important White receivers since Lance Alworth and Don Maynard in the 1960s, and possibly Fred Biletnikoff in the '70s. Both have a good chance of eventually making the Hall of Fame. There are undoubtedly at least a dozen other White receivers over the past 40 years who had HoF ability but were screwed by the NFL's Caste System and dozens and dozens who would have been stars if given a fair opportunity. But Nelson and Welker both got that rare opportunity (just barely for Wes, and only after a racial apprenticeship for Jordy) and both have made the most of it.
I just hope Aaron Rodgers stops dividing targets so much among his receivers and allows the virtually uncoverable Jordy Nelson to have a few fantastic seasons while he is still at his peak. No one objects when Matt Stafford looks to Calvin Johnson first and foremost; same with Andre Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Dez Bryant and other star black receivers, it should be the same with Nelson.

The 4 year, $39 million extension was exactly what Nelson deserved. After Toby Gerhart, Jordy Nelson is the most important white athlete to the anti-Caste movement in 2014. With Jones, Jennings, and Driver all shed in recent seasons, Jordy, Boykin, and Cobb are likely to be the starters. If we’re lucky, Green Bay could keep three white receivers (Nelson, Abberderis, and Janis) in 2014. Like last season, converted QB, Alex Gillet, is also on the roster, but has little chance.

THats the main thing that drives me crazy with teams that have a stud White WR. They are NEVER targeted like they should be. Teams would rather lose than target a White man 15 times a game.

Besides Cobb, a legitimately talented slot receiver and returner, who is this writer referring to?
The former UDFA, Jarrett Boykin, has decent size and put up nice stats while filling in for injured starters last season, but lacks big play burst and ball skills.
Kevin Dorsey was a 7[SUP]th[/SUP] round pick and has zero career receptions.
Miles White, another UDFA, is as frail a WR you’ll see in the league and has 9 career receptions.
Devonte Adams, the rookie 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] round pick, has very average speed but put up good numbers at Fresno State.
Former 4[SUP]th[/SUP] round pick, Chris Harper, is on 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] team in two seasons and has zero career receptions.
Then there’s the white receivers (Abberderis, Janis, and Gillett), two of whom are rookies.
Nelson and Cobb are the only proven commodities. Nelson, however has been on the squad for 6 years and was the MVP during their playoff/Superbowl victories in 2010.
If the Packers keep 6 WR’s (they normally keep 5 under McCarthy), it’s most likely that Nelson, Cobb, Boykin, Adams, White, and Abberderis make the squad. Chris Harper made the team last year, so he could also edge out Jared.

Congrats to Jordy for finally getting much respect as an "Elite" WR in the $$ pocketbook(from 32nd up to 9th)...Been a long time coming...It's has been fun watching him over the years,, My favorite WR in the NFL!

Nice WR Breakdown Thrashen....for the Packers to Draft 3 WR's speaks volumes....to me the only vets that look to be locks are Nelson, Cobb & Boykin. Being a 2nd round pick Adams will make it..... the battle for the final two spots IMO will be Abbrederis, Janis & White. Would think they keep 6.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of numbers Jordy and Megatron put up on Sunday.
Yeah the advantage of being a dipsh*t sports writer, you can say anything you want because you get to change your mind a week later and no one calls you on it. We should dig up some of the crap they have said about Nelson over the years and email it to them.

I was in the therapy room at the chiropractors the other day and saw this magazine, so of course I HAD to read this article on Jordy. It was pretty good. Id say about 85% positive. They praise Nelson for his real, legitimate speed. They talk great about his Country roots, and his farmer/cowboy upbringing.
However I was left with the impression at the end that Nelson is a freak of nature. A White man who breaks the mold. One in billion even. Maybe the ONLY White man in the World who could be the kind of deep threat Jordy is.
I wish I could have brought it home with me to be able to quote it exactly. At one point they said something like "the NFL has players from all backgrounds. Most are affrican american, and a few are Caucasian".
They also piont out that most of Nelsons success is the result of having Rodgers as QB, and Cobb as the other main WR option. Combined with the fact that every guy that guards him underestimates him based on his skin color, thereby giving him the endless element of surprise. AKA White privilege.
The article also mentions in passing that Jordy had to walk on at Kansas State even though he was a great high school football player and the 16th fastest high school sprinter in the country.
A few weeks earlier, SI mentioned in passing in its nice article on J. J. Watt that he was a walk on at Wisconsin.
This is how the Caste System is perpetuated, by never mentioning it even when glaringly obvious examples exist. No pattern is ever cited, the blatant discrimination against White high school football players being taboo to mention. How many of the current White stars in the NFL had to walk on or had very little interest in them coming out of high school? And how many more weren't able to overcome the hurdles placed in front of them by colleges and the NFL? Every year the huge White talent pool in football is systematically greatly reduced after high school and then again by the NFL.

This is where we have to break through in the mainstream sports world. We need to push this point constantly but really it'd be great if someone in the "mainstream" brought attention to this. Sure it would take courage and that individual would take on endless amounts of scrutiny but short of this I can't see any change happening in the near future. Anyway we have to keep plugging away....
Some hardcore unarguable statistical evidence would be the number of white NFL players that had to walk on their freshman year of college compared to the very few percentage of black players who walked on. Anybody up for compiling stats?
THIS is really what is needed here.
Someone with an aptitude for statistics and research who is can put together statistical evidence.
The number of white NFL starters or all-stars that were college walk-ons; that weren't drafted; that were drafted in low rounds, etc.

It's the same story time after friggin time. I was just wondering why the Eagles don't try Chris Maragos at safety. The Eagles have the worst free safety in the league and here we have this ST beast in Maragos sitting there watching this slop. Maragos is MUCH faster than Nate Allen. He runs a 4.4 40 and is a second faster in every drill than Allen. He isn't quite as tall, so maybe that's it?
