Comments are interesting, nothing ground breaking in them though. I do sense that the Caste System cliches have run their course and are now nothing but self satire.

Listening to Colin Cowherd right now... 'bout half an ears worth. He had an "expert" on discussing the playoff race. The part that caught my attention was something about and "...their most popular player is some big white guy with about 1.5 YPC."

A-holes.

Reminds me of a talks show I was listening to driving near Chicago today. Didn't know it was a sports show at first as they were joking about how stupid White people are who live in places like West Virginie.

Later on the host named Bernstein spoke of the dumb hicks in Northern Wisconsin who cheer for a fullback ONLY because he is White and has a German last name.

Another odious article attempting to belittle Kuhn's speed, athleticism, and running ability. The goal of this article is crystal clear"¦to make it seem as though Kuhn's ascent to the NFL, despite his "limitations," is a true "miracle." Another proverbial "pat on the back" for an "overachieving white-boy."Â

I took the liberty of finding some pertinent quotes"¦

"OK, it may not always be pretty. New England lineman-turned-kick returner Dan Connolly was faster. Plenty of players are more graceful. But none is more earnest."Â

"At midseason the Steelers offered Kuhn a spot on their practice squad. They loved his 6-foot, 250-pound size, but not for running."Â

"Running back Brandon Jackson likes him so much he's willing to block for him. ‘It's fun,' Jackson said, ‘And no one ever expects it.'"Â

"‘Just reacting to the situation,' Kuhn said. ‘If a guy is going for my legs, I want to get my legs up. Probably because I am a little slower than the other running backs, I'm not a reactive guy. I'm proactive. I try to make a move before the defense.'"Â

"‘We know he's not a speed burner,' said offensive coordinator Joe Philbin. ‘He catches the ball well. He's got good instincts running the ball. He runs with good pad level. He's got a good body lean.' Then Philbin grins. ‘He's just slow enough to see those cutback lanes that emerge,' he said."Â

*The comment by Brandon Jackson was particularly hilarious. Jackson is possibly the least talented starting running back in the NFL. He lacks speed, quickness, cutting ability, agility, decision making, toughness, ball security, and heart. Rest assured that no matter how inebriated the fan-boys become, they will never chant this loser's name. Edited by: Thrashen

The title of this article is quite humorous"¦"John Kuhn: (white) Working Man's Hero?"Â￾

(white) Working Man's Hero?

I didn't know there was any other variety of "working man"Â￾ in the U.S. besides white.

So the majority of white Packer fans, in their heart of hearts, actually enjoy watching a member of their own ethnic group participate (and dominate, whenever given the slightest semblance of an opportunity) in a professional sporting event?

Why do they long for a "hero"Â￾ with comparable physical features, behavioral qualities, character traits and culture to their own? That is just so"¦unnatural. Have those pathetic white peons absorbed none of the truths presented by the Tel-Aviv-A-Vision"¦smoldering benevolent warmth, barking the hypothesis of white self-abhorrence into their ears from cradle to grave?

DWFs have chanted a white player's name in the past, but always after a catch (by a tight end) or a run (by a fullback). It's always a deep, drawn-out, low-pitch "ooo"Â￾ kind of sound. Todd Heap, Heath Miller, and Chris Cooley draw the loudest cheers in the league (accept for Kuhn). Strangely enough, I've even heard this "chant"Â￾ occur for white South African soccer player, Matthew Boothe, whenever he touched the ball during the 2010 World Cup. He was the only white man in the starting 11 for the dreadfully bad South African squad.

The "Kuhn Chant"Â￾ is an astonishing phenomenon. As the season continued, the sound grew louder, stronger, and more aggressive. The culmination of this trend occurred during the Packers-Giants game. Whenever Kuhn was in the offensive backfield, the chants were actually occurring BEFORE the ball was even snapped. It was clearly a message to Mike McCarthy (who calls the offensive plays) that they wanted to see Kuhn more than any other player.

The organism know as the "Drunken White Fan"Â￾ may just be evolving into a vertebrate. Edited by: Thrashen

Good posts, Thrashen. It has been cool to hear the Packer fans chanting Kuhn's name. He definitely deserved more carries. Maybe he'll cut a bit of weight over the off season and make it a little more difficult for coaches to refuse him the ball (at least in a fair football world).

Yikes! If people are worried about Hillis keeping his fulltime role, you have to think that the Packers are going to pull out all of the stops (draft, waiver wire, parole lists) to find a replacement for Kuhn.

Same article posted at the MSJ, the comments by the Pack fan were more interesting because it seems we have caste aware people that are not CF posters.

jaxvid, that is a good point considering we are talking about the Caste System NFL. The only thing I can say is that Green Bay isn't Cleveland. The Packers have been more White friendly than the Browns recently, so I give them a slight benefit of the doubt. Besides, a little optimism never hurts. Sometimes I get frustrated by what I read and I post about the worst case scenario. Sometimes the opposite happens. I think we all do that from time to time.

I think the important thing to remember is that Kuhn, Woodhead, and Hillis are all much better situation now than a year ago. Hillis had just finished a season riding the pine, Woodhead was not heavily utilized at all and dropped off the face of the Jets by the end of the season, and to be honest I had no idea about Kuhn. No white players had rushed over 100 yards in a game or even close to it. Now we have that and more. Obviously things could be better. I think Kuhn, Woodhead, Hillis, Jacob Hester, Toby Gerhart, and Bryan Leonard should all be starting NFL RBs, and I can't imagine why guys like Nate Kmic, Jake Sharp, and Justin Beaver couldn't either. With that said, the situation is a lot better now than it was last year. This uptrend should give hope, and at the very least make us feel a tad bit better than we did exactly a year ago!

2010 wasn't just better by a tad, it was several tads, or even a score of tads, better then the last quarter century. In fact it was tad-tastic by any measure of recent seasons. Still it's best not to be too carried away because the caste system, like cultural marxism is in it to the death.

Absolutely jaxvid. I just want to make sure we have our measuring sticks correct when we compare year to year!

yeah, many positives, especially Hillis and Woodhead break out seasons, John Kuhn becoming (still underused) reliable power back for the Pack and Toby actually getting carries for Vikings.

too bad that two great white receivers (and Kerry Meier who is on IR) in Decker and Cooper didn't get to showcase their skill a whole lot! at least White and Shipey did though.

things are looking better :)

maybe John should change his agent?? (from rotoworld)

The Packers have not approached impending free agent FB John Kuhn about a new contract.
Kuhn's agent, Kevin Gold, was refreshingly candid about the situation. "Do I feel he's an NFL running back? No," Gold said. "But he was able to play that role. He was a cult hero ... Teams always like to pay for future performance, not past. Our view is John does so many things, and does them well."

Im guessing he changed his name when he became an agent, and left out the Stein.

The Packers supposedly offered John Kuhn a pathetically low RFA tender contract for the 2011 season. How fitting for a "white junkyard dog"Â￾ to be treated with such disrespect. Should Kuhn sign elsewhere, will the inebriated cheesehead fanboys yearn for days when they chanted his name? With Ryan Grant returning and James Starkes' success in the playoffs, perhaps leaving Green Bay would be a blessing for Kuhn's career.

From Rotoworld:
"The Packers have extended an original pick restricted free agent tender to FB John Kuhn. Kuhn was originally undrafted, so the Packers would theoretically receive no compensation if they didn't match an offer. Since Kuhn has accrued five seasons, he's headed to the free market instead. The Packers' actions suggest they will only bring him back at a discounted rate. Mar. 3 - 7:21 pm et"Â￾Edited by: Thrashen

I can't see Kuhn getting even occasional carries with any other team. Starks is one of those plentiful perpetually injured black RBs, and Grant is coming off a lost season on IR.

Kuhn should re-sign with Green Bay and lose 15 or 20 pounds. He'd still be big enough to block but would be a shiftier runner who would still have plenty of power. It's hard to imagine Jim Taylor and Paul Hornung trying to lug the ball at 250 or 255 pounds.

As a cheesehead I can assure youthat many of my friends and family want to see Kuhnback in a Packer uniform next year. And I agree Kuhn should at least cut 10-15 pounds and be in the 240-245 range at the start of the season. I really think it could make a difference in his speed.

Hopefully a deal can get done because I am not sold on Starks just yet. Grant has been good but he's been injury prone the last few years. And I figure the Packers will draft a black back in the draft. It would be nice to at least have Kuhn on the roster for the added depth and his versatility as a pass catcher.

You would think that since he is the most versatile back that Green Bay has he would be appreciated more. He can literally do it all and is a short yardage specialist for the Packers. The saying "you never know what you got until it's gone" is appropriate here.
