Redick reminds me of Allen Houston if I had to compare him to an NBA player. Both are "2" guards with a great shooting touch and both can drive to the basket.

Thanks for finding a black athlete to compare him too. It seems like most announcers and sports writers ALWAYS have to reach deep in the past to find some white man to compare him too.

I was listening to the Kornheiser show this morning and Wilbon was on and they were talking about Reddick and Morrison and how white guys can play. Wilbon brought up the point that it seems white people do not support their own players and that in the different cultures of white and black that whites were expected to pursue other avenues of sports or academics and blacks where supposed to focus on sports. From the way it sounded Wilbon said that he thinks white guys can play and now being exposed to the black culture the new generation of white kids dont have any fears or stereotypes. He also went on to say that other black sports writers he talks to would love Reddick on their team and think he is a great ball player. He was really pushing for Reddick and Morrison to be the best players in the country. It was nice to hear recogniton of the caste from an intelligent black sports writer.

That's good to hear, Pitt. It proves that white athletes who are unafraid to succeed in "black" sports do have an effect on the Caste System. I'm sure that while Wilbon and all the rest still believe in black athletic supremacy, Reddick and Morrison (and Wariner and Rock, etc.) help chip away at the lies and myths upon which the Caste System is based.

Since UConn lost, in a perfect world Duke should move up to number 1 in next weeks poll if they can keep winning. We'll see what happens.

They should, although Villanova will grab some votes since they were the ones who knocked off UConn, but making the leap over the #2 and 3 teams is very rare.

JJ Reddick passed Johnny Dawkins today to become Dukes All Time Leading Scorer.I have not enjoyed watching a college player as much since Christian Laettner.JJ is a class act on and off the court.I can't wait for Marcb Madness to start as they start their title run.

Congratulations to JJ for becoming the leading scorer in Duke history.. this is a great achievement considering the great teams and players Duke has had over the years.

Washington Times Sports Columnist Hates Whites, Insults J.J. Redick</font>

J. J. Redick is one of the finest college basketball players of all time, and has all the tools for a long and splendid career as a professional player. His play is fully reminiscent of that of Jerry West and Gail Goodrich in the prime of their college careers.

The white-hating and self-hating hounds of the MSM spare no sauce in berating Mr. Redick. Here's today's column from that notorious Zionista rag, The Washington Times, and it's media maggot Tom Knott:

"Redick likely leaving his best times behindBy Tom KnottFebruary 25, 2006
The matter of J.J. Redick's NBA worthiness does not extend beyond the length of his jump shot, impressive as it is. Redick is neither quick enough nor physically imposing enough to be an effective off guard in the NBA. His 6-foot-4 list height is so much wishful thinking that will be pared to 6-2 in the weeks leading to the NBA Draft in June. His shoot-first instincts do not lend themselves to an easy transition to point guard in the NBA, if it comes to that."
</font>

I say: Dear Tom Knott: Drop Dead! Go P*&^ up a Rope!

Mr. Redick this very afternoon gained the all-time ACC Scoring Leadership, eclipsing even Michael Jordan and David Thompson. Not bad for someone "neither quick enough nor physically imposing enough to be an effective off guard in the NBA"</font>

How I hate the MSM!

It makes me wonder how much Mr. Knott has seen JJ play these last two years. He can clearly do more than shoot and put the ball in the basket(although that is the objective isn't it). He can take you off the dribble with either hand, he works hard on defence and is not consider a liability anymore in that area and late in the game and you are trying to protect a lead..who better to send to the free throw line than JJ. He is also a team leader and team player. He stayed this year at Duke to win a national championship and not to collect the millions that he for sure would have gotten. Just because he's white, doesn't mean he's a one-dimensional Steve Kerr. But if you are going to have only one-dimension to your game..shouldn't putting the ball in the basket be the most important dimension?

He's smart as a whip, humble, unselfish and has great leadership skills to go along with his talent and athleticism. In short, he has all the attributes white athletes often have and which used to be highly valued but which now matter very little in the Caste System.

I watched some of the game today, and even though Reddick had a poor shooting game, play by play announcer Mike Patrick made sure to give him his due. It was the color announcer, Lenny (Wilkins?) who engaged non-stop in Caste System cliches, crediting every black player on the floor with great athleticism and quickness and near the end of the game siding with those who believe Duke gets "breaks" from the officials that no other team gets. He sounded petty and jealous. If it was Wilkins I can see now why he had such a long NBA coaching career.

I hope your right but I wouldn't be suprised is JJ went
late in the first round to the second round. The stupid
experts that be will say he is not good enough on
defense.Translation,he is white.Kirelenko is probably
the only player who gets consistant compliments on his
defense. They don't think we can play any defense. They
forget guys like John Stockton who is the All Time
NBA Career Steals Leader by a landslide.I guess that's
because he was too slow. What a joke!

O please, JJ has no D.

Dont get me wrong I love JJ, but the memories of last years lost to Michigan are still profound in my memory. The guy got dunked on 3 times, and wasnt even pissed off. Come on now, his D is a little bit better this year, but I would only play himin a top zone. Adam Morrison is far better because, hehas some D,and has some come back tenacity. Adam can play in the paintagainst a center, andcan go and play against a guard at the top of the key.

Everybody gets dunked on, especially a 6-4(at best) guard. Anybody that's watched JJ play this year knows his defence has improved by leaps and bounds. He's become a complete all-around player.

Coach K would disagree with you about JJ's defense. He says JJ is Duke's best perimeter defender. That's pretty good considering that they are the #1 team in the nation. Every white player that is a scorer is automatically accused of being a poor defender - it's part of the required media propaganda.

Y2kplaya92 gives some credit to Adam Morrison for playing defence, but Adam has also been knocked for his play there.

J.J. had 20 points in the win over Wake Forrest. He was followed by Paulus with 18 and McRoberts with 13. Paulus had 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals, while McRoberts had 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Way to go Duke, now make a Championship run in the NCAA!

I watched the game and was very pleased to see Paulus step up his game, as I have said in previous posts..he will need to do so to get Duke to the final four. McRoberts was nothing sort of sensational today. Not my description..that was the ESPN crew(Vitale and Patrick)..he had some sensational dunks today and behind the back passes for assists. One of his dunks came off a Redick miss and he came soaring over two black defenders without touching them to catch the ball and power dunk it. He will be a star next year and who knows..in the upcoming tournament?
