It seems like the new business model of the UFC is completely different from what allowed them to get to the top of MMA world. Now instead of being about offering the "best" competition throughout the cards it seems like the UFC is focused on good competition for some of the fights, mainly the higher levels of the top tier divisions, while increasingly promoting the freak shows as the other draw. UFC had a lot of freak show qualities in its beginning days, but the difference now being instead of just taking all throws freak shows, throwing them in a big pot and saying "kill each other" they are going the route of the protected bouts with the tomato can opponents which no one likes with the exception of the greedy execs and the few leg humpers that get behind a fabricated legend like Bimbo Lice.

If I were a young quality fighter looking to make a name for myself especially in one of the less sexy divisions like lightweight and welterweight, I would be extremely pissed off by all this hot shotting crap that Dana White is moving towards with the UFC.

Couldn't agree more. Dana White is coming off as a hypocrite.

BB & CDB15, ya'll fellers are right on the mark. Zuffa has gotten extremely $ & power-hungry. They're trying to "corner" the MMA market (which they about have). In doing so, they have lowered the bar by bringing in these green, tomato-can (MMA) "fighters" like "Bimbo Lice" & now James "Full of Baloni YOney". Like Strikeforce did (with Walker), I strongly suspect they'll throw YOney a can (probably "Bimbo Lice"). Tough-talking, foul-mouth Dana (anti)White is a major league egomaniac & hypocrite.

I'm so hoping someone takes out his cash-cow, caste-pushed affletes like Anderscum Silva, Bimbo Lice, Jon "Blow'nz" YOnes & James YOney. **I was glad to see Kos (even though he's a mongrel) sub caste-pushed, coal-black Anthony Johnson...as they were pushing "Stumble" Johnson hard. I believe Sonnen & Marquardt can dethrone Silva. Matt Mitrione should KO Lice at UFC 113 (as did UFC washout Seth Petruzelli). I was happy to see "Blow'nz YOnes" get DQ'd for those cheap/illegal strikes against Hamill. I'll be pulling for (half Filipino, half Italian) Brandon Vera to whoop YOnes' @$$ on March 21st (UFC on Versus).

It lloks like it's going to be James Toney vs Randy Couture, although there has been a formal announcement yet. Also there is a rumor of Rich Frankling stepping in for Tito to face Chuck Liddell.

Hawkeye, I saw where Randy wanted "Lame(s) YOney" first & he (YOney) is supposed to debut at UFC 115 or 116. I figured (anti)White would feed YOney (fellow) MMA green can "Bimbo Lice" or Paul Buentello first. YOney will be quickly exposed & DISPOSED versus a wrestling/G&P specialist or BJJ ace.

BTW, Randy would EASILY take YOney to the mat & (either) sub or G&P him. Randy has (almost) Olympic level Greco-Roman wrestling & is a pioneer (with Team Quest founders Lindland & Henderson) of G&P. YOney has a (very slight) puncher's chance, but Randy will quickly take YOney to the mat or pin his fat@$$ against the cage & pummel him.

What, no warm up fight to artificially bloat (pun intended) fattie's confidence? Randy is 46, but absolutely swarmed Mark Coleman and Brandon Vera with dirty boxing.

This match-up, like most in the UFC, makes no sense. Toney needs to earn the right to fight a "name"Â￾ guy in the UFC. Dana Anti-White loves his African side shows. He (and his match-making cronies) continues to prove how incredibly bad he is at keeping legitimate MMA fans interested.

Why isn't the self-described "Samurai,"Â￾ Francisco Santos Mir, calling Toney a "side show"Â￾ (like he did I'mBuildLikeABlackMan Lesnar)"¦or threatening to kill him in the ring, for that matter?

Carwin and Fedor are amazing MMA fighters. Liddel had his day. Boxing has been destroyed the the zionists.
I actually commend Dana White on giving these old timers a shot at another payday. Toney might get successful, but the trash talking smells of desperation.

The praying of hands clasped together lifted up in a gold foreground. I just remember how some new posters in the past joined up under the popular name White Lightning and we already have a distinguished White Lightning around here and those posters had to change their user name and rightfully so. Not sure if the same rule applies for avatars but I am trying to avoid the same confusion.
