Jags GM James Harris, who I believe once said he would explicitly favor a black over a white QB if their talent was equal, resigned today. Could this the beginning of a white mini resurgence, a la Atlanta or Miami, at Jacksonville? Hope springs eternal.

I'm not sure if "Black" Jack Del Rio is such a Caste whore because he likes all black teams or because he had no choice with Harris being an obvious black supremacist. The Jaguars "team chemistry" went to hell this season, led by the Mike Peterson incident.

Del Rio should be back in '09, we'll seeif he goes in a less black direction.

Here's Draft Daddy's observation on Harris's resignation:

DD.comment: This is significant for draft followers and Jags fans, because Harris pretty much had 100% control of the Jacksonville's draft day (and all veteran player personnel) decisions. This became very evident in the spring of 2007 when head coach Jack Del Rio pushed real hard to draft Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, but was re-buffed by Harris.Edited by: Don Wassall

Shaq Harris was definately the most notorious black bigot to ever GM an NFL franchise, bar none.

Perhaps, as Don stated, Del Rio was simply the puppet boy for Harris' black paradise. Either way, they were both truely sick human beings.

Lord that is a beautiful thing. I can't stand Harris. He is the reason I quit following the Jags and , who knows. Maybe now I might be able to at least half heartedly pull for them again. But the damage done by Harris will take years to reverse, if ever.

It looks like we may not have seen the last of this SOB yet. There are reports that he is interviewing for the Browns GM job, or that he could possibly go back to Baltimore and take the job that George Kolkinis would give up as director of pro personnel. The tought of this piece of dirt anywhere near the Ravens and Joe Flacco with the surly Troy Smith lurking around is enough to make my stomach turn.

This link says the Lions are about to hire him as Assistant GM.
I guess that means Matt Stafford's career is over.

Oh god any bets the Lions draft Freeman from K- State in second round and draft a playerinstead of a qb with their first pick?

I wouldn't bet against you there. Plenty of sumos to choose from in round one, and Freeman will probably still be there in round two. Don't forget about Nate Davis out of Ball State either.

In Jacksonville, Shack Harris basically had control of all of the Jags draft choices and decisions. We have yet to see if he'll be extended the same responsibility in Detroit. But I imagine he will.

Furrey being released was the first step. Next, you can kiss Standeford goodbye. Jordan Dizon will get the same treatment that Bobby Carpenter is getting in Dallas. As mentioned above Freeman or Davis will be drafted and they will be "tutored" by Big Ol' Daunte.

I did not think it was possible for things to get worse for Lions fans than an 0 & 16 season but it seems that it may.
