It looks like my prediction my come to fruitution. I said couple of weeks back that Al Davis would cut his losses and bench Ja-Frac-us. Last week he was tossed a bone and got a win. His performance or lack there of today, will force Al Davis to bench the wonderful affelet.

Maybe it's just me but Duhmarcus reminds me of a Black Jed Clampett . His thinking is on another plain than the rest of us. Here is more of Duhmarcus speak courtesy of USA Today....JaMarcus Russell on Raiders' troubles: 'I don't think it's me'

Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell had no problem with his performance in Sunday's 38-0 loss to the Jets.

Coach Tom Cable did. He benched Russell after the No. 1 overall pick from 2007 threw two INTs and lost a fumble in just more than one quarter of work.

And after the game, while teammates such as Richard Seymour and Darrius Heyward-Bey assumed responsibility for their roles in the loss, Russell declined to point a finger at himself.

His comments, via the San Francisco Chronicle:

"I don't think it's me personally, I really don't. It's a bad combination of one guy doesn't do something right one time. Personally, I don't think so

"Do you?"

Cable, who said Sunday that Russell would remain the team's starter, said Russell "was really out of sorts." But Russell dismissed that criticism.

Russell has just two TD passes and eight INTs this season, with a passer rating of 47.2 and a completion percentage of 46.3. -- Sean LeahyEdited by: white is right

So fatboy Russell is still going to remain the starter.  Since the NFL needs more black quarterbacks they should allow him another 5 years of terrible performances.

The media really needs to make available the IQ of pro athletes. We know all their physical measurables, why "black" out such an important one as intelligence? I think it may havesomething to do with why IQis a taboo subject in general.

I posted in the Florida Seminoles thread about what geniuses the players on the team are.  Many of them are taking remedial courses. It was an interesting article.

what a piece of crap. A decent person would have accepted at least some of blame, even if it wasn't his fault they lost.

It is taboo indeed, and when the IQ #'s come forth...the cultural Marxist apologists make the bogus claim that "IQ tests are racially biased".

If this guy starts against San Diego, it's goint to be the same as against the Jets. Russell can's sustaina drive and the defense is out there constantly.

Mike Ditka and Mike Greenburg were saying that he is not maximizing his talent, instead of the fact that he isn't good enough. He could be really good if he just tried harder according to them. He's probably trying has hard as he can.

Maybe someone should check Cable's IQ as well if he insists on starting this tub of goo!

Cue the laugh track. From Rotoworld:

JaMarcus Russell said after Sunday's loss to San Diego that he was pleased with his 109-yard passing effort. "I did a pretty good job," he said. Russell took five sacks, fumbled, threw an interception, averaged under five yards per pass attempt, and completed two passes for 16 yards to his wide receivers.

The fact that this guy still starts should prove without a doubt to even the most numb-brained of DWFs, that there is a caste system. I don't care if JaFARCus is only in his 2nd year as a starter- this guy is playing like a H.S QB out there. Yeah, I guess he still has "upside"...and there's no AA in the NFL...And I'm Miles Davis too.

Does anyone think DuhMarcus is simply just riding the wave of his signing bonus and salary from last year and this year? That's what it seems like to me. I think he knows that his NFL career is done for after this season, so he's just going through the motions to collect his paycheck. Now, I can't specifically state that it's the case, but this has to happen even in the NFL. I know this kind of thing happens in high school to seniors, and even to college kids on scholarship. Also look at his statements! He shows little emotion at all for his poor performances. He knows the sun is setting prematurely on his career is just doing the bare minimum to not look like he's giving up on his game, and doing a poor job of even that. If JaMarcus was giving it his best effort day in and day out, or even 85% effort, even he would be playing better than this. I'm willing to bet there's a big chance Russell is giving in with the knowledge that he is "set for life." Edited by: Electric Slide

Russell knows he stinks and will never succeed in the NFL. I am sure he is trying, but at this point he has accepted reality. If he had signed for say, 3 million and living the typicall affelet lifestyle, he would be in a panic.

But having over 30 million in the bank, sh.t, that soothes alot of anexiety. I never followed him in college, but WTF was Al Davis thinking giving him that much money without proving himself. McNabb, sure after paying his dues. Ja-frac-them...no way!!!!

What Al Davis did should be a lesson to all Owners.

Duhmarcus never performed overly well against top SEC teams/defenses. The caste lackey announcers always harped on his arm strength & size.I can't believe Davis forked over that kind of $ to an overrated bust.

I don't know what all the hype was about Russell.  He has a strong arm but how will that help him on a football field when he has no accuracy.

I'm not convinced that Russell's arm is "stronger" than Big Ben's or Chad Henne's!

Flacco has a rocket arm as well!

Oh, I remember all of the pre-draft crap about how DuhMarcus could throw the ball a zillion yards while on his knees with just a flick of the wrist

It probably isn't. I think Favre has a stronger arm as well.  Due to his black skin privilege he will always have be considered as being very affletic.

Like DuhMarcus, Mike "Doggy" Vick has always had the "rocket arm" hype as well. Outside of McNabb, every black black quarterback that I've seen is just a dink-n-dunker. Look at the "fabulous" game that Vince Young had this week "leading" his team to victory with his incredible yards per throw (6.9)!!
