I've come across the name of Noah Lawler of Alabama with an amazing time of 10.32 in the 100m.
Don't know if it is wind aided or not.

I just came across this video which shows Korbin Martino of Ohio, running the 5th fastest 400m time in the country (high school), so far this year.

Korbin Martino has the 5th fastest 400m this year.
But the 4th fastest is Ashton Schwartzman from Wisconsin (now running in Florida).
His time is 47.24.

Here is a great interview with the high school sprinter Gavin Schurr who has been lighting up the track this year with personal best after personal best. Hope he continues to improve as his talent is amazing!

https://www.milesplit.com/articles/294902/gavin-schurr-on-prs-group-chats-and-qualifier-hopes

I highly encourage all track fans here to listen to this interview. Not sure if anyone did as there were no comments. Gavin Schurr wants to be like Boling. He talks about even trying out for the Olympics if he can run the times. He thinks he might run under
20 seconds very soon. These are huge statements but I love his swagger and confidence. Have a listen guys. :)

Another sprinter off to a good start this season is Zak Sedaros.
He ran a 21.06 this weekend, which is the #3 time in the country.

Austin has some wheels....agonizing listening to the screech of the females yelling out "go Sam". I wonder what this kid can do with some serious competition.

The 2021 Drake Relays is this weekend but the high school kids will compete this Thursday, April 22, 2021. It will be streamed live on tv for the first time ever! :)

Here is one of the top high school kids in multiple events. Drew Bartels of Central Rapids Kennedy High School. Drew Bartels is the top seed in the 110 hurdles and the long jump!

Cooper DeJean had a great day at the Drake Relays.

Iowa recruit emerges from loaded long jump field
In case you weren't convinced by his All-Iowa Elite Team football performance, his commitment to Iowa football, his record-breaking numbers at quarterback or his 25.9 points per game in basketball this season, OABCIG's Cooper DeJean is athletic.

Like, really athletic.

Want further proof? In addition to finishing third in the 100-meter dash at 11.05 seconds, DeJean also won the boys long jump with a jump of 22 feet 11¼ inches. This was his first time jumping at the Drake Relays.

He won on his final jump.

"I had a good feeling going into that final jump," DeJean said afterward.

Titus Christiansen won the boys 100 meters at the Drake Relays! :)

upon additional review:

thanks to white lightning’s post, i discovered that Christiansen is just a junior, he won in 10.94 seconds, and he made history THREE times on the day: he is the first EVER Drake Relays 100m champion from his high school, he led his 4x200 relay team to the school’s first-ever Drake Relays relay title, then led the 4x100 relay team to yet another title (his school’s second ever). pretty nice day on the track.

That converts to like a 10.22. Anyone know the racial make up of this kid?

I was just researching what's happened (on the track) with Thomas Donley, and I came across this.
It made me smile. Here's someone possibly waking up to the caste system.
https://247sports.com/college/oklah...interested-in-thomas-donley-147032815/?page=1

Thomas Drew Donley (son of Dallas Cowboy WR Doug Donley) came 2nd in the Texas 5A 100m Championshps - great time of 10.31 (2.3w).
He won the Regionals 100m in 10.33. I also found this about him:

"Donley’s road to state is a unique one, recovering from a torn MCL on the football field that cast doubt on his track season. Rehabbing from that surgery precluded Donley from racing at all prior to the postseason but didn’t deter the Lebanon Trail sprinter from clocking a personal-record time on Saturday.

“I had surgery on my knee in November, so my first day sprinting was actually two days before districts. Being able to come out here is really humbling,” Donley said. “… My doctor said I’d maybe be able to hit my PR but never go faster than that. I didn’t stop working.”"

Unbelievable that he is going to play football at Cincinnati, and not some major program.

Here is some news from a Germany about a very talented long jumpter by the name of Oliver Koletzko. At 17 years of age he has jumped farther that Boling.

Oliver Koletzko and Laura Raquel Mueller fly to new best-selling Nicolas Walter The two long-jumpers Oliver Koletzko and Laura Raquel Mueller have significantly increased their best performances with wide rates on Sunday. While Mueller was able to climb 14 centimeters, Oliver Koletzko even flew toward a historic top. This should be the case in youth: Masha-Sol Gelitz set a new German U16 best performance in the triple jump. The junior jumpers of the German Athletics Association (DEUTSCHE) convinced once again at an invitation competition in Wiesbaden on Sunday. In the lead, Oliver Koletzko (Wiesbadener LV), German U18 champion, landed at 7.90 meters in his first attempt. That left the 18-year-old just 16 centimeters below the German U20 best performance, which has held since 1984 and was set by Ron Beer (SC Dynamo Berlin). With his second-most jump of the day (7.65m), Oliver Koletzko remained just below his previous best performance (7.72m).At 7.36 meters, the Wiesbadener made another valid attempt. The second-widest jumped on Sunday with slightly too much wind support U18 athlete Juan-Sebastian Kleta (TV Gelnhausen; 7,59 m; +2.6 m/sec).Kevin Brucha (LC Jena; U20) gets 7.58 meters (+3.3 meters/sec) with its best attempt.Oliver Koletzko, with his performance, set a new hesse record, staying far beyond the standards for the U20 EM and the U20 World Cup, even exceeding the benchmark for the U23 Euro Championships in Bergen, Norway, by ten centimeters; 8. by 11 July).Kleta and Brucha also underpinned their international potential, although their jumps across the U20 norms were blown away by the wind.

I've been wondering what happened to Gavin Schurr, who ran a 10.36 at the beginning of the season.
Couldn't find any further results for him until yesterday.
He ran with the big boys in a pro meet in Southern California yesterday.
Travyon Brommel won in 9.92, but Gavin had a respectable showing with a time of 10.40.
Not bad for a high schooler, and great experience for the future.

looked just about to be knocked back to 3rd then refocused with "I haven't put in this much effort only to lose".
Had to feel for Gonzales who pushed it hard all the way only to die in the last 100
