The caste mafia have their hands full with McCaffrey. They'll have to go the extra mile to destroy his NFL prospects. You can already tell by the half-hearted way the ESPN announcers complement him, they hate the fact that this "spoiler" has come out of nowhere to rain on their SEC/afflete parade.
But how will they go about it? It'll probably start with vermin like Herbie, Jesse Palmer and others at ESPN do their best next season to undermine his Heisman campaign. Then, Kiper and McShay will do their part by reducing him to a 2nd round prospect. None of the usual descriptions apply here, there's nothing "sneaky" or "deceptive" about McCaffrey's game. So they'll try to label him "too small" to be an every-down NFL back, and instead scout him as a slot receiver/versatile 3rd down back, or some BS like that.
And finally, a team like St Louis ,Tampa Bay or ATL that already has a very good young running back will magically draft him and that will be that.
Sorry for the cynicism, but we've seen this movie before and it doesn't end well. The caste system is too powerful to allow a phenom like McCaffrey to burst into the scene in a forbidden position and inspire thousands of young white kids. It cannot be allowed.
