I always wonder that. I think its because late in Callzaghe's career hee punched with his inner hand and not fist sometimes because probably of chronic poain of bashing no many peoples heads in. Still, the hardest puncher for his size Ive ever seen, with the heart of a lion, and a perfect record. My favorite really. Klitschkos are next. I never liked Hatton that much, but admitt I expected more from him. I guess he just lost too much muscle.

Manny Pacquiao is a great fighter and deserves the accolades he's been getting of late.

Perhaps the DWFs who attack Caste Football should draw a lesson from this thread. Even though we are here to cheer on white athletes, we give credit when it is due to non-whites in cases like this, and withhold it from frauds like Nikolai Valuev when he beat Evander "Evan Fields" Holyfield a few months back.

It would be nice, though, if the MSM gave our many great white champs at least a bit of positive promotion, but I guess this is too much to ask.

We still hold most of the belts at the weights we are interested in. Our guys can't win each and every time, you know.

This is a great post! Yes this is something great about this site. We have lots of pride, but most of us give credit to athletes of other races-at least athletes who act with class in victory- when it's due. Pacman was just the better fighter tonight. We can't win them all.

How does he lose to a little guy like that? He's wasted, used up, and making the weight kills him. He can't fight welter either because he's too small. So he's done.
I saw that yesterday he looked wasted. He probably would still have lost but he would have gone rounds. Also the slowness of his counters is sign of being weight drained too. I hope he decides to call it day. Or decides to have a farewell bout. Hatton really has nowhere to go as he isn't nearly as physical at 147.

On some boards they were joking and said he looked sick and in need of vittles. I saw the weigh-in photos, I have to admit they looked bad, but I thought he would re-hydrate up to 160. Instead he was supposedly 152 (with clothes) so there you have it.

Yes, well said, Van Slyke. And what TJR said about acting with class in victory (and in defeat for that matter) is spot on as well.

That's true about Calzaghe's hands. He ruined them hitting his opponents so much. Have been saying this for several years but too many limies just don't get it. Calzaghe was the prototypical boxer, a template for all white kids that want into the sport.

Man, I am dissappointed, but Pacman is a machine. WTF is Ricky trying to bulldose a world class fighter? I am a little bummed, but I don't feel like I did with Mayweather KO'd Hatton, Pacman is a great person.

I believe this is because Calzaghe broke his hand badly in the later part of his career. Calzaghe was then no longer able to give his hand as much punishment there after. This makes his victory against such a knockout threat like Hopkins on points-that much more incredible (he came back from a cheap knockdown early in that fight too).

Calzaghe was never a big knockout threat late in his career, but was a solid one earlier in his career-Calzaghe simply was just much too quick and cerebral for his opponents- and had very quick defensive reflexes too.

Its because Ricky is a working class northerner. People love him because he is down to earth supports his local football team drinks in his local pub and has a devil may care style he's seen as the working man's champion.
Calzaghe is half Italian half Welsh and his style does not appeal to working class fans.
Its the same reason why ghetto blacks prefer Iverson to Kobe Bryant.

Your're right, but he'll probably have one more though as he does not want to leave a loser even though he is a loser for losing to a munchkin.

Well, I give you future president for life of the Phillipines, Manny Pacquiao (just hope his wife isn't another shoe freak).

Damn, I feel bad for Ricky. He's a very good little fighter, better than this fiasco suggests. He must be in shock. Family's there. Band's there. Half of England's there. And this happens. After he's worked so hard all these years to get to this point.

Boxing is brutal. So is history. Ricky will know join Tommy Hearns, Jerry Quarry and some others in the remembered more for the fights they lost club.

Pacquiao is great boxer and a very decent man but he's still a little munchkin walking around at 5,6" and 140.

That SHOULD be true but not in the good ol' US of A where he is still portrayed as something he never was.

Maple Leaf you starting to sound like the infamous "werewolf" by disparging small stature fightere. I used to call him on it and he would never give me response.

THE HOCK your post nailed it, in terms of human struggle and tradegy and the grand stage of it all.

I dont think Hattons overrated, his career and what hes brought to boxing is HOF worthy imo. The problem with Ricky though is that his style though intense is physically demanding and very taxing on the body and he gets hit alot because of that style which is not conducive to career longevity. He dosnt have the natural weapons of fighters like Mayweather,Calzaghe or even Pavlik .You look at the way Vlad dominates world class opposition with his offensive arsenal without so much as taking a clean hit back throughout his fights. He could probably fight another ten years because of that. Hattons never had them kind of tools at his disposal and entering this fight on the back of 47 previous fights their was always the danger despite being only 30 that his best days had gone. Most aknowledge that hes not been the same fighter for the past 2 years.

OK Brother(Maple Leaf), I hear you. If am Marquez I will insist on fighting Mayweather at 140 lbs and not a lb higher. I suspect the lure of millions will cloud his judgement and fight Floyd at 143/145 lbs where Floyd will have the size and weight advantage.

I doubt the the DWF's at (BR) BeacherReport, are aware of our recognition of outstanding non-white fighters with golden personalities. They are just simply blinded by their PC-driven agendas to eliminate a respectable website like CF (Caste Football).

It does not matter what they strive to do, what matters is what CF strives to do, the recognition of a white athlete's achievement, and the strive for "real" equality of whites in sports, politics, and society.

Manny Pacquaio is a phenomenal fighter, one of the greatest ever. Ricky Hatton needs to take a long break, and ponder on what he wants to do next. Although the fight was very short-lived, it did generate a lot of buzz. Gayweather does not stand a chance against Pacman, that I really believe so. Congratulations again to Pacquiao, and best of luck to Ricky Hatton. Edited by: j41181

I don't think he was overrated. What happened tonight is probably from a combination of factors:

1. Pacquiao is a great fighter - he's very fast, strong, and smart. Losing to an all-time great is not a disgrace.

2. Pacquiao has the best trainer in the world, and with him he's clearly improved since he lost to Morales a few years ago.

3. Ricky didn't look 100% healthy before the fight. I've been saying since 2006 that Hatton needs to stop gaining so much weight between fights and having such poor eating habits, or it will catch up to him sooner or later! He stopped being one of my favorite fighters because his lifestyle reveals less than satisfactory dedication to the sport. He seemed to have better punch resistance in the past (for example, despite what the commentators said tonight, he took some good punches from Tszyu, who was known as one of the hardest hitters in those weight divisions, and seemed hardly affected. And he took lots of hard shots from Collazo and Urango, and although he was hurt, he never went down. Not to take anything away from Pacquiao, but Hatton probably isn't as durable as he was a few years ago.

JD 1986, your are right, Ricky's recklesss lifestyle (binge drinking) and unhealthy eating may have well caught up with him. Irregardless, I still think it was dumb stategy to try to steam roll the PFP fighter in the world. It was reckless. When You fight at this level, thinking as well as fighting go hand and hand.

I can't believe Mayweather layed out this game plan for Ricky. Ricky I believe will be kicking himself for eternity. He should have taken Pacman into deep waters where his chances for victory would have improved.

No wonder Gayweather Jr. is coming back, his dad has been ruining, uh, training fighters to loose in the division. What a worm, and what a pathetic strategy. I bet Ricky's old trainer is at least somewhat vindicated.

Pacquiao's performance was one of the best I've ever seen. Ricky's got what, 42 or 43 wins and Manny made him look like a club fighter.

I've lost no respect for Hitman. He came in, he fought, got ko'd. That's it. No excuses. He went out swinging. I believe he was on the way in for another attack when he got hit.

Many fights still to come this year in both boxing and MMA.Nearly all of the headline fights involve white fighters these days and that is a big deal.

This fight has to be the most depressing in a long time. It is so much worse than even the Hopkins Pavlik fight.

One thing I do notice is Hatton is confident and tries to take fighters out early. He tends to be extremely aggressive from the opening bell. Calzaghe also made this mistake in the Hopkins and Roy Jones fights. Joe got right up after both knockdowns and dominated those 2 fights. That is what seperates a good fighter(Hatton) from a legend (Calzaghe).Edited by: whiteathlete33

This, and Vic Darchinyan's loss to Nonito Donaire.

I guess Filipinos OWN white fighters for now.

I think whites have not fared well yet against Filipinos.
