Good Music Videos

Good song, most likely the best by the Jefferson Starship. Grace Slick was the featured singer in the Jefferson Airplane, but by the time the group had morphed into the more commercial Starship in the mid-'80s she was but a joke of a background singer, kept around to help sales.

Wow, never heard of this band before but this is a nice song. Probably I will put it on my mp3 player for listening in the car and at the gym! :)

Here is a nice, chilled out song by Andain, which is called "Beautiful Things". The singer is Mavie Marcos, she is American of Brazilian (Portuguese) origin.

I love house, trance, and dance music and I especially like when the songs tend to be slower and more "loungey" as opposed to "clubby". One of the great things about this style of music is it can be very fast (nice for a nightclub), or it can be very slow (nice for driving, relaxing, before sleeping). Personally, I love a good chilled out song, and I'd usually prefer it to faster songs.

Some of my favourite artists when it comes to this kind of slower, relaxing music, includes British downtempo group Everything But The Girl, German downtempo producer ATB, and Bosnian producer Arnej also produces some very nice tracks.

If you like the song, here is a longer, 11 minute version, which is the full version;

I love it for driving or just before sleeping :)

This first song by the Australian group INXS refers to a girlfriend/boyfriend situation, but I like to broaden it to be about racial and national differences.

The group's lead singer Michael Hutchence died in 1997 at age 37, reportedly from autoerotic asphyxiation and it was called a suicide, but he left no suicide note. As with the death of Kurt Cobain in 1994, there are unanswered questions about the death of Hutchence. He was kind of a metrosexual but dated supermodels and had lots of charisma.

Remember Kyle Turley, the excellent offensive lineman for the Saints and then the Chiefs? Of course his helmet tossing episode on prime time television is a classic. lol. They say he had anger management issues, some contributed his amped-up nature to the metal music he listened to right before a game. Usually these kind of efforts by athletes turn out cheesy. Legit stuff here.

Solid stuff. A good southern, hard rock sound (I like the slide steel). I see that Turley toured with Hank 3 in 2010. Plus, he said he grew up a fan of Slayer & Pantera, so he has good taste in music. ;-)

ATB Ft. Jan Lochel - Summer Rain (132 Bpm Mix)

I'm a big fan of house, deep house, chill house, ambient, and some trance musics, and one of my favourite producers is German-born ATB, who has been producing mainly relaxing, downtempo, and chilled music since the late 1990's.

ATB has done a number of collaborations with German rock vocalist Jan Lochel, and I absolutely love all of the songs they've done together, they really compliment each other. Jan has amazing vocals, and ATB has amazing song writing so it's a perfect combination.

Some other songs from ATB and Jan Lochel I enjoy include "Believe In Me", "Better Give Up", and "Be Like You".

Gentlemen, You may not like this too much but I think it's very good.

There is a video (youtube) you may be interested in of the making of this movie, "Burden of Dreams." The director is Werner Herzog, an absolutely driven man. Quite a video.
