Forgotten White Athletes?

Since we're all talking about Sam Blaskowski and how he's gone from DIII Champion to a world class sprinter, it reminds me of another DIII Champion, who also attended The University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and also became a world class sprinter.
That sprinter is Andrew Rock.
Rock was a 9-time NCAA DIII Champion, and went on to win a silver medal in the 400m at the World Championships in 2005.
He also won a gold medal in the 4x400m at those championships, and at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
He was ranked #3 in the world in 2005, and #4 in 2006.
Pretty damn good for a DIII guy!

Here is Andrew Rock finishing 2nd at the 2005 World Championships at Helsinki. Jeremy Wariner took the gold medal.

I remember Andrew Rock clearly. Didn't seem to be around long and was overshadowed by Wariner, but a very talented 400m man.
Rock had 3 great years of averaging 44s
