An article reviewing the new players coming to the EPL this year: Santi Cazorla, Lukas Podolski, and Olivier Giroud (Arsenal), Eden Hazard and Oscar (Chelsea), Shinji Kagawa (Man United), Fabio Borini (Liverpool), Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham), plus a couple moving to smaller teams:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...rzola-Eden-Hazard-and-Shinji-Kagawa-fare.html

Robin Van Persie has repaid Wenger's loyalty at Arsenal all these years when he was struggling by switching to Man United. That's modern football. Luka Modric is now in Spain - I expect Tottenham to go back to being a middle of the table team but we'll see. At Anfield, where Liverpool face a crucial year, Joe Allen has moved from Swansea with new manager Brendan Rodgers and Suarez has signed a new contract. In addition to Eden Hazard, Chelsea have signed Marko Marin and...Thorgan Hazard.:icon_rolleyes:

As for Manchester City...who cares?

in the article they say that giroud would adapt very quickly to premier league, i think that it's true
but they also say that he's not the kind of player that arsene wenger likes, while in a recent interview wenger said that he hates strikers that only score goals, he want them to pass the ball too
since giroud also is the player with most assists of his club, and the 4th of the league (unusual for a striker) it seems that he's the kind of strikers that wenger likes

also hazard could have problems to adapt
he chose to play in a french club (while he is belgian) but notice that he only played for a club very near to the belgian border
also his brother thorgan hazard played for a different club in france, but that club is also very near of the border, and close to lille
so he's not the kind of person who likes to leave his region
the english climate is the closest to the belgian climate though
i always thought that he was slighly overrated but wish him the best

As for Manchester City...who cares?

it will be interesting to see who plays, aguero the argentine international, or balotelli?
they can play at the same time but there are so many forwards in this team

aguero litterally offered the title to manchester city in the last seconds of the last game, he also saved them in the last seconds in champions league vs villareal
he was also the club's top scorer, by far

i'll root for liverpool and arsenal, but manchester united and manchester city are going to be though oponents, especially if our best players get suspended for looking a black player in the eyes like suarez last year
let's hope that they will have better luck with injuries too

also chelsea is a lot whiter than last year (it wasn't hard, but really they are pretty white right now)

oscar is the best out of the new brazilians (ganso, neymar, ect)
it's strange to see that he will play in england, that's unusual for this kind of player

Joe Allen is a perfect example for a British player who never would have gotten a chance to play in the BPL if it weren't for promotion because of all the foreign players. He started out at a 3rd division team and then showed he could play in the Prem when he got the chance.

I wonder how long Bale will stay at Tottenham if they drop in the table.

Arsenal have looked lost up front. Giroud didn't come on until the 64th minute - in place of Podolski.

A bad miss from Giroud results in him getting the blame - according to our commentators - for Arsenal's failure to win. Meanwhile Liverpool were thrashed 3-0 away to West Brom.

Horrendous start to the season.

Horrendous start to the season.

the team is too black to support them anyway, if walcott plays gervinho shouldn't play
giroud instead of gervinho, ofcourse! gervinho is a ligue 1 player like giroud but he wasn't even close to making history like giroud did last year

unfortunately giroud has a weak right foot, he is totally left footed (he missed with his right foot)

regarding liverpool, i didn't watch the match because it's in the afternoon and since it's so warm here you have to go to a place where there is water
but i'm horrified to hear the results

michu the new spanish striker playing for swansea scored 2 goals in the thrashing of QPR, heavily black, with 1 asian and 1 arab too (only 3 white players started the match)

it gets better: chelsea looks like a top european team: white defense, white goal keeper, white offensive middle fielders, white striker
and ofcourse black defensive middle fielder and black fullback (they also had ryan bertrand, a black winger, but in the most important matches i don't think that he will play)

they won 2-0 at wigan
oscar was reportedly very good and hazard didn't disapoint, and was reportedly crucial in this match
lampard once again shows that he's good at scoring penalty kicks

Jack Rodwell (BLACK) Everton to Manchester City)

i was wondering if he was black or white
another player with family in the business

Hazard had the assist on the first goal and drew a penalty for the 2nd. Hopefully, Chelsea will start Meireles over Bertrand. That would make 8 whites. Bertrand is listed as a defensive player on wiki.

Is Cahill still injured because he didn't start?

i think that he was ready to play
i hope that david luiz played just because it was an unimportant match, like bertrand
but i found nothing about cahill for that match

out of the top teams, manchester united lost in everton, liverpool lost in west bromwitch, arsenal did a draw at home, and manchester city won at home (laboriously)
so i'd say that things are pretty even now
only chelsea did very well with a victory at wigan

sorry :icon_mrgreen:
anyway manchester united will be watchable when vanpersie will start instead of wellbeck
then they will have a very good attack
van persie came in and it would be interesting to know where he played, because that would be the way manchester united would play this season
i guess that it was van persie as a main striker and rooney like a very offensive middlefielder

United looked clueless on attack. They just kept passing it around the periphery of the box then aimlessly crossing it - usually Evra, but Ashley Young wasted a couple too. (In the last minute or two Young just crossed it straight to Everton goalie Tim Howard wasting one of their last opportunities). Of course, it's only the first match of the season, they should get better.

Everton had a very white team. Well, maybe 7 white starters. Not as good as I thought, but not too bad. I don't know why the national team doesn't start Jagielka instead of Lescott, if they don't start Cahill.

Right lads, here is the first breakdown of the season...

N.B. As always, in order to avoid complications I am counting all Bosnians as White (yes, that's awfully generous of me...:icon_wink:).

Arsenal 0 Sunderland 0

ARSENAL:

Started: 7 Whites (1 Englishman*), 4 blacks *This season I have decided to count the half-Finnish, Essex-born Carl Jenkinson as an Englishman. Despite playing for Finland at U-19 and U-21 levels, Jenkinson has thus far refused to play for Finland at senior level. Mind You, given his "patriotic" vacillations I wouldn't be keen to see him turn out for England - or, for that matter, Finland...

Finished: 9 Whites (1 Englishman*), 2 blacks

SUNDERLAND:

Started: 8 Whites (3 Englishmen), 3 blacks
Finished: 8 Whites (3 Englishmen), 2 blacks, 1 Arab

Fulham 5 Norwich City 0

FULHAM:

Started: 9 Whites (No Englishmen), 2 blacks
Finished: 7 Whites (1 Englishman), 3 blacks, 1 Albanian

NORWICH:

Started: 10 Whites (7 Englishmen), 1 black
Finished: 9 Whites (5 Englishmen), 2 blacks

Queens Park Rangers 0 Swansea City 5

QPR:

Started: 3 Whites (2 Englishmen), 5 blacks, 1 Arab, 1 mestizo, 1 Asian
Finished: 4 Whites (3 Englishmen), 4 blacks, 1 Arab, 1 mestizo, 1 Asian

SWANSEA:

Started: 6 Whites (2 Englishmen, 1 Welshman), 5 blacks
Finished: 6 Whites (3 Englishmen, 1 Welshman), 5 blacks

Reading 1 Stoke City 1

READING:

Started: 8 Whites (2 Englishmen), 3 blacks
Finished: Unchanged ratio

STOKE:

Started: 11 Whites (6 Englishmen) :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Finished: 8 Whites* (3 Englishmen*), 2 blacks *Dean Whitehead sent off after 88'

West Bromwich Albion 3 Liverpool 0

WEST BROM:

Started: 7 Whites (2 Englishmen), 3 blacks, 1 Argentine Jew
Finished: 5 Whites (2 Englishmen), 5 blacks, 1 Argentine Jew

LIVERPOOL:

Started: 9 Whites (3 Englishmen), 2 blacks ... Remember, Luis Suarez is counted as a black due to his "mixed-race" background...
Finished: 8 Whites* (4 Englishmen), 2 blacks *Daniel Agger sent off after 58'

West Ham United 1 Aston Villa 0

WEST HAM:

Started: 6 Whites (3 Englishmen), 4 blacks, 1 Maori
Finished: Unchanged ratio

VILLA:

Started: 7 Whites (2 Englishmen), 3 blacks, 1 Arab
Finished: 9 Whites (3 Englishmen), 1 black, 1 Arab

Newcastle United 2 Tottenham Hotspur 1

NEWCASTLE:

Started: 4 Whites (1 Englishman), 5 blacks, 1 Arab, 1 quarter-Vietnamese
Finished: 4 Whites (1 Englishman), 6 blacks, 1 Arab

SPURS:

Started: 3 Whites (No Englishmen), 7 blacks, 1 Arab
Finished: 4 Whites (1 Englishman), 6 blacks, 1 Arab

Wigan Athletic 0 Chelsea 2

MAN. CITY:

Started: 3 Whites (1 Englishman) 5 blacks, 1 Arab, 1 mestizo, 1 half-Asian

SOUTHAMPTON:

Started: 8 Whites (4 Englishmen), 3 blacks
Finished: 9 Whites (4 Englishmen), 2 blacks

Everton 1 Manchester United 0

EVERTON:

Started:6 Whites (4 Englishmen), 3 blacks, 1 Arab, 1 half-Turk
Finished: 7 Whites (4 Englishmen), 3 blacks, 1 small-part Indonesian

MAN. UNITED:

Started: 6 Whites (4 Englishmen), 4 blacks, 1 Asian
Finished: 6 Whites (3 Englishmen), 4 blacks, 1 Asian

Chelsea is pretty fun to watch this year so far. They've whitened up this year somewhat, starting 8 whites and 3 blacks for their first two games. Chelsea's white players are fun to watch; guys like Torres, Oscar, Lampard, and Hazard. They had a great comeback against Reading, winning 4-2.

Like I said, Chelsea started with 8 whites and 3 blacks today, and finished with 9 whites and 2 blacks!

Also, Gary Cahill did start at CB today for David Luiz. I also don't know why Cahill didn't start on Sunday.

I hope Chelsea will be able to beat out Man City and Man U for the title this year as long as they keep playing white players; they seem to be the whitest top team in the Premier League so far, Man City, Man U, and Tottenham are all disgustingly black. Arsenal has improved a little this year, starting 7 whites in their last game.

They didn't deserve it though. The third goal shouldn't have counted as Torres was offside. I don't think Torres will recover his old form.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I didn't get to watch the last 15 or so minutes of the match. I did get to see Cahill's goal though.

If anyone is wondering why I count Reading's Jem Karacan as a Turk and Everton's Leon Osman as a half-Turk despite the fact that both players were born in England to Turkish "Cypriot" fathers and white mothers, here's the reason: the former has represented Turkey at youth levels while the latter has never played for the Turks. There it is...

Just watching the build up to Liverpool's Europa League match (against Hearts) the consensus among "experts" is that Andy Carroll will be sold or sent to another team as he, as a traditional British-style striker, doesn't fit into Brendan Rodgers' more continental style of football. Needless to say he's not even in the line-up for tonight's match.

liverpool has only 3 forwards outside of carroll, and one of them is 18 years old
they already have very few forwards for a team that plays both europa league and premier league
