Here's the latest on sCam Newton and his Pro Day at Auburn. The writer notes that he has a nice throwing motion, and that he actually managed to hit most of his receivers in the drills, bla bla bla. That's all well and good. After years of teaching, I have an outstanding compact throwing motion, greatconsistent release, crisp 3, 5, and 7 step drops, and can hit uncovered receivers spot-on all day, yet no one is knocking at my door urging me to enter the draft! The things that make a real NFL quarterback do not place an extremely high premium on these, but on awareness, command, and execution. None of which sCam seems to have in any quantity. Tim Tebow on the other hand......

Absolutely whiteathlete33, if the Panthers draft Newton, I may consider moving. Yes , why give up on Clausen and they also drafted TonyPike form Cincinnatti. Carolina has alot more issues, than at QB. They could use about any position other than RB or LB.If Clausen doesn't work out, possibly draft another QB next year, possibly Luck. I think Clausen could work out though, if given enough time.
<div></div>
<div>Just got through watching Jim Rome carve up Bomani Jones about Scam. Jones saying Newton is the only QB worth risking on No. 1, while JR says too many off field issues and can't hit wide open targets in passing drills. Thanks Jim!</div>
I would have given up on Clausen after his first year at Notre Dame. I was amazed he even got to Notre Dame based solely on one breakout year in High School in a relatively weak division here in California. He was probably one of the most hyped College Player turned busts ever. Not to mention he is a totalprima donna. How he got drafted, with a losing record after only 3 years still astounds me. Now don't get me wrong, Scam is a flare-up and fluke, but the Panthers should dump Clausen ASAP and wait another year to pick up Luck.

I have to respectfully disagree with you here PI. Clausen played at D-III Oaks Christian Westlake where he went 42-0 against VERY tough competition in SoCal football, which features mostly highly-affletic black talent. I would take his Oaks Christian school over 99% of the HS teams in the entire US. Although I think, personally, he would have benefitted from spending his senior year at Notre Dame, his accomplishments as a junior are outstanding and resulted in his subsequent draft selection. If he were black, and had the same, identical success, every person in America would be informed of his daily activities, and he would be given an indeterminate amount of time to live up to his "upside" and "potential". After one lackluster ROOKIE season with a TERRIBLE team, he is thrown under a bus by all of the haters and DWFs? Please.

I think wereached close to the same conclusion politicallyincorrect, we just went about it a different way. The Panthers currently have atleast 4 QB's on their roster, I'm saying don't waste a pick on another QB, especially Newton. Draft an impact player on defense or someone who can atleast catch a pass, they have effective RB's and LB's. You may be right about Clausen, Pike , Moore or anyone else they have at QB, time will tell, but like I said, if Clausen or anyone else doesn't work out, then as we both said, get Luck next year.

Yeah but if the Panthers draft Newton he'll be given at least five years to develop. The DWF's will be oozing with joy because they feel he's the next "Slash."

Several websites are already saying that Newton is a leader and Clausen isn't. I expect it to get worse.

A lesser known member of Auburn's national championship team, Zach Clayton, tested well at Auburn's Pro Day that included All-Americans Nick Fairley and Cam Newton.</TD></TR>
<TR>
<TD colSpan=3>
Auburn, Ala.--While Lombardi Trophy winner and SEC Defensive Player of the Year Nick Fairley has received a huge amount of attention as the potential number one pick in the 2011 National Football League Draft, the other starting tackle on Auburn's defensive front really stood out at Auburn's Pro Day.

While more than 100 NFL scouts were on hand to check out Fairley and quarterback Cameron Newton, Zach Clayton put on an impressive show as the defensive tackle did everything well at the event held at Jordan-Hare Stadium. http://www.scout.com/3/selectteam.h...P10&amp;nichn=SCROS&amp;niseg=CFBLNKSP200x200

Measuring in at 6-2, 299 pounds, Clayton smoked through the 40-yard dash on a windy day running on grass. Multiple stop watches had him in the high 4.6s.

"I was really happy with my 40 time,"Â￾ Clayton says. "I wanted to run a 4.8 or better so I accomplished my goal in that test."Â￾

A player who former Auburn defensive line coach Tracy Rocker has predicted will play in the NFL, Clayton performed that way on Tuesday in the standing broad jump as he won praise from the NFL scouts with a leap of 10 feet.

"I knew I had jumped 10 feet before, but I was at a lighter weight when I did that so I was pleasantly surprised,"Â￾ Clayton admitted. "At 299 pounds my goal was around nine feet, nine inches. To be able to jump 10 feet is something that I was extremely pleased with when I found out the number."Â￾

Clayton had the most reps on the bench press of any of the players working out in Auburn on Tuesday. "I really wanted 30, but I guess you can't get too greedy so I am happy with 27 reps,"Â￾ said Clayton. "Hopefully, it will help me out."

911619.jpg

Clayton waits in the north end zone of Jordan-Hare Stadium for the defensive lineman drills to start.

After one of his drills Clayton was impressive enough to be pulled aside by Denver Broncos head coach Jon Fox to give the Auburn senior some encouraging words.

"That was really exciting coming off my three cone drill,"Â￾ Clayton said with a big smile of his chat with the head coach. "I am hoping to get my name out there and open some eyes.

"I talked to some scouts from other NFL teams and the feedback was positive,"Â￾ he added. "I am just waiting to see what teams I will be doing team interviews with so hopefully I will get an opportunity to do that soon."Â￾

Clayton, a state champion in high school in the discus and shot put, has a very strong lower body and used that strength to go 33 1/2 inches in the vertical jump.

Unlike most of the players around the country who participate in pro days, Clayton did not go to a special workout center to train. He stayed in Auburn and worked out under the direction of his father, Auburn assistant track and field coach Jerry Clayton, and Kevin Yoxall, Auburn's strength and conditioning coach. "Coach Yox has been nice enough to let us use the weight room,"Â￾ Clayton said. "It has been huge. We definitely appreciate that.

Clayton will change his training schedule as he waits on the NFL Draft. "We will do more football specific training and stay in Auburn and just go from there,"Â￾ he said.

875420.jpg

Clayton is shown in action as a senior for the Tigers, who finished 14-0.

All things considered, Clayton is upbeat about how his pro day went. "I think I accomplished all of the goals I wanted to accomplish in each </TD></TR></T></TABLE>

Well gee thanks Mark Sanchez for showing up to support your friend then insult his 40 time(4.47) by comparing him... guess whoo. drumroll.. Wes Welker!!

NFL scouts who turned out to today's Colorado Pro Day observed something unexpected: Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez throwing passes in wide receiver drills.

The Denver Post reports that Sanchez was throwing to wide receiver Scotty McKnight, a close friend since childhood.

Sanchez said last year that he thinks McKnight is going to be a good NFL player.

"He's pretty good, man,"Â￾ Sanchez said. "I think he's like a Wes Welker. He's smart. He studies. He knows football really well. He definitely has a coach's feel for the game."Â￾

McKnight was timed in the 4.47-second range in the 40-yard dash.

This is weird, at the very least. With all the black sumos in the league one would think that the NFL would covet players who are in great shape. Nate Solder is definitely one of those guys. He has low body fat and ran a blistering 40 time for an offensive linemen. Weenieworld doesn't think so.

<div ="re">

Colorado LT Nate Solder reported to the Buffaloes' Pro Day weighing just 307 pounds at 6-foot-8.
</div>
<div ="impact">
Solder weighed 319 pounds at the Combine. It's been just
over two weeks since linemen weighed in in Indianapolis. As CBS Sports'
Chad Reuter notes, "teams were already wondering if (Solder) could ...
maintain weight during the season." Solder's sudden loss is concerning
for one of this year's top linemen.

not unless your name is tyron smith, apparently its okay for him to be 280 as a tackle at 6'5, he's supposed to be the first offensive lineman off the board. Yeah no double standard there..........

whiteathlete, i was just thinking the same thing!

anyhow, apparently Kiper (who every year seems to be high on one white guy who others put down) is very serious about Brooks Reed!

ESPN's Mel Kiper insisted on a media conference call Wednesday that he believes Arizona DE/OLB Brooks Reed will be a first-round pick.
"I have Brooks Reed of Arizona going in the late first," Kiper said. "You would have thought second. But I'll say late first." Reed's stock is soaring after an outstanding ten-yard split at the Combine. We'd guess he'll go in the mid to late 20s on April 28, but it isn't out of the question for New England to fall in love with the Clay Matthews clone and pick him 17th.

I guess that it's a good thing that when a white guy is high on the board, the Patriots are almost always mentioned as a possible suitor. The problem is, the Patriots have recently only drafted black players on defense, resulting in a near total blackout on that side of the ball.

Perhaps it isn't a good thing that Patriots are always mentioned. It could be that the implication that the Patriots are looking for white players drives their insistence on drafting black players on defense. It seems the Patriots pass over every white defensive player that even the media thinks would fit their scheme, yet the media never stops projecting white defensive players as "Patriot" type players.

Yeah, Kiper had him going to the Packers at 32. In all, despite excluding Mallett, which I personally think is ridiculous, he had 9 white players going in the first round, which really isn't bad.

Good to see Brooks Reed shoot up the Draft Boards...my question is....what aboutis his college team-mate on the other End Ricky Elmore?? Why wasn't he invited to the Indy Combine??? He's projected to go in the Middle Rounds....All he did was lead the PAC 10 in Sacks two years with 21 1/2....With Reed &amp; Elmore...Arizona had the best pair of DE's in College Football last seasonIMO!

Here's a Ricky Elmore interview/video 4:29 yesterday...

I'm pretty sure he was, but I think he ran badly. In what I've seen of him, he's been getting the usual knock of he has a great motor but isn't athletic.

Another sign that at least a few scouts will speak their mind about potential black busts.  And Razzano mentions Vernon Golston and not Mike Mamula or Brian Bosworth.  The large number of black busts the past decade at every position is hard to miss by anyone not completely blinded by Caste propaganda, which is why I'm hoping there may be at least a few surprises in this year's draft (but I won't get my hopes up much after 30 years of watching the Caste System at work).  From Weenieworld:
<div> </div>
<div>Former NFL scout Dave Razzano believes Texas A&M OLB Von Miller has "got some Vernon Gholston in him." "In looking at Big-12 tape, he does not have a motor," said Razzano. "He doesn't chase hard. They run at him, and he doesn't fight off blockers. When he gets sacks, a lot of times he's not getting blocked. He's a one-move guy." Razzano is on his own here. Miller is widely hailed as the most explosive edge rusher in the draft, and he was the unanimous best player on the field at the Senior Bowl. </div>

Great blurb!

The "draft-projections" for Miller are treating him like he's 3 or 4 times "better" than Clay Matthews.. which is patently absurd! I can say unequivically that he isn't worthy of a Top 15 pick, much less a Top 5 pick (from the mock-drafts)...

Yes, he can shoot-the-gap, UNBLOCKED, as I'm sure a BUNCH of players can if they were in a similar college system. Just like PPG can be a "deceptive stat" in basketball, sacks can be a deceptive stat for a college linebacker.. The above blurb is looking at the "totality" of his resume, and that's what you have to do.

Make no mistake, there are White college linebackers' with good sack-numbers, but, their first priority, as it should be, is to stuff the run.

Oh, there will be at least a few teams in the first round willing to give Von Miller several million bucks guaranteed based on the notion that he is an incredible athlete, head and shoulders above any of his white counterparts at the position.

I'm sure Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert are getting psyched up for the draft. It must be fairly easy to prepare when you can simply move any notes and film for white players to the side and obsess about the black prospects.

Wisconsin tailback John Clay improved his 40 time at Pro Day, but that's not saying much considering he ran 4.77 &amp; 4.84 at the Combine.

DD.comment: Considering Clay's weight and mediocre to poor 40 times, we are surprised the idea of him moving from tailback to blocking fullback wasn't brought up in the article?

Another White defender that clearly has the athleticism and production to play at the next level is Andrew Gachkar a Missouri OLB who ran a 4.58 at 230 pounds,a time that would have ranked amongst the best for his position at the combine.Rutgers DE/OLB Alex Silvestro is another guy to keep an eye on running a 4.77 at 270,a time thats in the same range as those put up by so called 'athletic freaks'Aldon Smith and Akeem Ayers.

How do you get 21 1/2 sacks in two years and not have athleticism?? I guess he's too pale...Ricky had better get into a tanning bed quick!

Former Colorado
wide receiver Scotty McKnight might have made himself an NFL draft pick
today with an impressive and somewhat surprising performance in front of
representatives of at least 19 franchises at CU pro timing day. </font>

McKnight
had some help from his best friend from childhood -- New York Jets
starting quarterback Mark Sanchez -- who threw passes to him during the
portion of the session in which scouts were able to grade McKnight's
route running and pass catching. He didn't drop a ball and proved to be
faster than most believed him to be ahead of time.

</font>First-year
coach Jon Embree and most of his staff were on hand to watch along with
many current and former Buffs. Embree, who spent the past five years in
the NFL and has plenty of experience evaluating college prospects, said
he was impressed by McKnight.

It was easily the most well-attended pro timing day in Boulder since 2002 with tackle Nate Solder and cornerback Jimmy Smith expected to be among the first 40 players selected in the April draft and cornerback Jalil Brown expected to be drafted at some point.</font></font>

McKnight
was one of seven former Buffs who worked out for scouts, joining
defensive lineman Marquez Herrod, tight end Luke Walters, longsnapper
Joe Silipo and the other three.
</font>
Solder, Smith and Brown all were
invited to the NFL Scouting Combine last month in Indianapolis where
they participated in all the sprints, drills, lifts and jumps. Each of
the three opted to participate in only a handful of those same tests
today as well as some position specific drills.

But McKnight was
the story of the day because he returned to Boulder this week after
several months working out in Orange County, Calif., hoping to prove
himself beyond the record-setting numbers he produced during his four
seasons on the gridiron in Boulder. </font>

McKnight ran three 40-yard
sprints and each was timed at less than 4.5 seconds, which was perhaps
the most eye-opening part of the day for scouts, who might have thought
McKnight was too slow for the pros.
He also broad jumped more than 10
feet and bench pressed 225 pounds 13 times, 11 more times than he could
do at the end of last season.
</font>

With anxiety built up for the day,
McKnight spent a near sleepless night at a local hotel. He was up at
5:30 a.m. and couldn't wait to get to the Dal Ward Center and begin his
day of tests and interviews.

</font></font>"I thought I did great," McKnight
said after the workout portion of his day was over. "...I think I did
everything I possibly could to erase any doubts about speed or
athleticism.
I think that's out there that I can compete with anyone in
those phases.

</font>"And then creating separation and catching the ball
in traffic, I think I answered that today. I feel like I did get myself
drafted."

Embree and former Buff linebacker Matt Russell, a
scout for the Denver Broncos, said it was beneficial for McKnight to
have Sanchez throwing to him but not because Sanchez somehow enhanced
McKnight's ability.

Both men said the familiarity with Sanchez
probably helped McKnight relax and perform. They said it also helped
scouts get a better evaluation having a quarterback participating who
could make all the necessary throws.

</font>Sanchez said it was "a
no-brainer" decision for him to travel to Boulder and participate with
McKnight, who has been his best friend since they played Pop Warner
football together growing up in Southern California. Sanchez obviously
has a biased opinion, but he believes his friend did very well.

"I
don't think it could have gone any better for him," Sanchez said. "His
drills were great. His numbers were awesome.
... All the stuff that he's
been working towards these last few months, it all just came to
fruition today. He deserves it because he did a great job this entire
process."</font>

Even the above glowing piece of McNight, the writer purposely slights him by saying, "was timed less than 4.5 seconds." Which in reality it means Scotty ran a 4.45 or lower, no can't say that. The sports MSM always grades Whites Athlets lower than their dark counterparts.
