Duke Blue Devils 2009-10

I didn't know the game was on Fox Sports, so I missed most of it. I did watch the final 10 minutes though.

Miles Plumlee was awesome. Singler was awesome. The announcers said that Olek Cyz made plays as well. They also said that Ryan Kelly looked good.

Singler finished with 20 points, 5 boards and 2 blocks. Singler continues to make highlight-reel defensive plays!

Miles Plumlee: 10 points, 9 boards and 3 blocks.

BTW i read that Mason Plumlee broke his wrist, it's dissapointing but at least Duke has other talented white guys waiting in the wings

I love college basketball especially Duke and Notre Dame. I will try to watch and/or tape every game this season. I hope Mason Plumlee will be back by at least Feb to get game ready for the tournament. Coach K doesn't always like to tinker with his lineup late in the season. I worry alot about Duke's lack of guard depth behind Scheyer and Smith. Kind of a scattershot post but if Zoubeck (7 footer) can come anywhere close to averaging those type of numbers it will really help Duke to go maybe past the sweet 16 for a change.
 
If there is any team in college basketball that has many very talented white players, it's Duke. In addition, to returning players Scheyer, Singler, Zoubek and Plumlee,they added Ryan Kelly the 6th ranked Pf and Plumlee's brother,who is out currently with a wrist fracture,who was ranked 2nd nationally of all HS centers. Oleg Czykz ,who saw very little action last season showed great quickness and leaping ability apparently earned a starting position in the absence of Nolan Smith. So Duke with both Plumlees has 7 excellent white players on their current roster.
 
Duke always has lots of whites on their roster.  They have produced some incredible players like Laettner and Bobby Hurley.  If Hurley's career wasn't cut short there is no doubt in my mind that he would have been a star pg in the NBA. 
 
That's whitest team roster I've ever seen a big college program like Duke to assemble. Not since the 70's has there been a big-name team this white. Unless you mention BYU (long-time traditionally white team)

Singler facing the basket this year and he looks unstoppable so far. He seems even quicker this season and is clearly one of the top five players in the college game, hands down.
 
Duke plays at 6pm est on ESPN against the University of Charlotte.


Singler was a beast on the boards last night...let's hope that continues.

God I love Duke!! Scheyer and Singler are doing their thing. Plumlee has looked very impressive and Nolan Smith is finally stepping up.
 
Did you hear the rocket scientist Hubert Davis immediately make a fool of himself by saying in essence , Nolan Smith is by far the best player on Duke. Singler and Scheyer are playing as well as Smith, despite playing with less than 24 hours of rest, while Smith is totally rested not playing last night. He said Nolan Smith is a great point guard which is not true. Jay Bilas finally intervened to save Davis from making more of fool of himself than he already did.

Duke seemed to have four white players on the floor the majority of the game.
 
As the quality of Duke's competition improves, I hope Plumlee can get more double doubles.
