Let me first say that I think the Mavs will win in 6 or 7. I feel that they have under-achieved thus far and their bench will play much better at home. The Heat on the other hand have shot much better than they usually do from the outside and played "over their heads." Don't get me wrong, I think that Wade is one of the top 5 players in the NBA and he's capable of some amazing games. But I'm not sold on the greatness of LeBron. Like others said previously, Dallas must limit their silly turnovers and they should be OK. The one wildcard I see that could cause some problems for the Mavs is Bosh. He has played very poorly so far and I believe will has at least one or two good games before the series is over. If not, the Heat are in trouble.
And who turned out to be their wildcard? It was Mario Chalmers! In the latter part of this series, he played exciting basketball and kept Miami alive and gave hope to them. Bosh was the same underwhelming rebounder that he's
always been. At the very least, a "big" is supposed to OWN the boards and play D.
From watching this series, I stick with my view that Tyson Chandler is no longer in his prime. In a few games, he even got outrebounded by Bosh.. keep in mind, Tyson Chandler was pretty damn dominant in his prime, and, on paper, I would still say he should own Chris Bosh
everytime they meet on the court, but Chandler just
disappears too often for my liking.
I'm shocked that CFers are continuing to refer to Miami as the "Big 3" and are saying that Dallas beat "3 superstars"..
I'm not going to tear everyone on Miami down (because that would also minimize Dallas' world title), but, fact is, they don't have "3 superstars." When a team is being built, you usually want to have a few "energy" players at guard and at least one "energy" player at forward. A player that can hog the boards, play D and run the court. Miami didn't have that. Haslem isn't it, Juwan Howard is 38 and isn't it. While Joel Anthony did some good things, he doesn't meet the criteria of an energy F/C.
Players like Gortat, J.J. Hickson, Channing Frye, and fierce-competitor Kevin Love come to mind. Psycho-T can certainly give good minutes to a team as well. David Lee could likely play that role also.
For Dallas, even though Marion is no longer the dominant rebounder/defender he once was, he still has some energy left in him.
