Dirk Nowitzki passes Garnett and he now sits as the 14th all time leading scorer! He is also averaging over 21 points a game. Way to go Dirk. Long live King Nowitzki. He has a legitimate chance to be a top 5 scorer in the history of the nba. Maybe that will inspire more germans to take up the game. What a talent he is!

Yes, it's been great watching Nowitzki move up in points. I've admitted not watching much NBA for the last 20 years, but Nowitzki's climb, thanks white lightning for bringing this to our attention, however, upon further review this past season, their are reasons to follow the NBA. The resurgence, although slight of white players has tweaked my interest this year. Hopefully, more white players will continue to make it to and play well in the NBA.

Back to Dirk. With 20 points last night, Nowitzki is 271 points from moving past John Havlicek for 12th place all-time. If he can average around 19.5 for the rest of the season he will move into 10th all-time passing Oscar Robertson!

Also, Dirk is at 9,400 rebounds. If he plays 2-3 more seasons, which he should, he'll be on a very short list of NBA players with 30,000 points/10,000 rebounds. If I'm correct, only 3 other players in NBA history has 30,000 points and 10,000 rebounds, Jabbar, K. Malone, and Chamberlain.

Also, Dirk is already over 3,000 assists, 1,000 steals, and 1,000 blocks. Could Nowitzki possibly become the only player in NBA history with 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 3,0000 assists, 1,000 steals, and 1,000 blocks? Does anyone else have those stats?

It's going to fun watching Nowitzki as he gets closer to these milestones! Keep playing and stay healthy Dirk!

Back to Dirk. With 20 points last night, Nowitzki is 251 points from moving past John Havlicek for 12th place all-time. If he can avg. 19.3 for the rest of the season he will move into 10th all-time passing Oscar Robertson!

Yes, both Jabbar and Malone have over 30,000 points, 10,000 rebs., 3,000 assts.., 1,000 steals, and 1,000 blks. Chamberain has the points, rebs., and assts., but there was no stats for Chamberlain's steals and blocks.

Still a very small list should Dirk get 30,000/10,000!

I will forever hate Mark Cuban for not resigning Steve Nash, thereby breaking up what would have been one of the greatest tandems in NBA history........

I feel the same way. Those guys were fun to watch.

What Dirk has done over the last decade and a half is nothing short of incredible. For you football guys what he is doing numbers wise is comparable to how Peyton Manning's career records. He is in a very short list of the greatest players to ever play the game. There is also no doubt in my mind and most that he is the greatest shooting big man of all time outside of Bird. I really wish more people could appreciate the history we are witnessing. My biggest hope is that Germany will produce many more players even half as talented as guys like Detlef Schremf and Dirk Nowitzki. They are like the Klitschkos as far as talent goes and they should be remembered forever.

With 19 games left in the regular season, Nowitzki can average just 18 points per game to pass Oscar Robertson for 10th on the all time scoring list. He's averaging 21.6 for the season, so hopefully this won't be a problem. He's currently 342 points away. He's 27 points away from passing John Havlicek for 12th all time.

If any basketball fans take the time to discuss just how good Dirk Nowitzki has been, most of them should come to the conclusion that he is one of the greatest of all time. He has been to two NBA Finals. He has won one ring and if weren't for the crooked refs he would have two. He has won the league mvp award and also the finals mvp award. Nowitzki is a 13 time all star! Dirk has played at such a high level despite being on countless teams where is was the only all star. To help to get a team to the playoffs year after year and continue to score at such a high rate is amazing. The wear and tear on your body is incredible. Kevin Garnett was ahead of Dirk in scoring for many years but Dirk has passed him up and left him in the dust as KG cannot seem to stay healthy anymore.

So what I'm trying to say is that any basketball fan on earth should love to watch this guy play. Especially the fans here on this board as we know he will never give half the attention that the other guys get. Barring a career ending injury, King Dirk will finish at the minimum as one of the top 5 NBA Scorers Ever! When you sit here and think about the long list of legendary basketball players it blows you away to even think about it. He is doing it. Add this to his countless other awards and you are watching one of the greatest players that has ever lived. As I always say I will end this post with one last saying.

"Long Live King Dirk Nowitzki".

Dirk will be a top-10, top-15 player all-time when his career ends, and a first ballot HOF'er. It'll be nice to have another white player join that elite group, alongside other greats like Bird, West, Stockton, and Petitt. I truly believe Drazen Petrovic and Aryvdas Sabonis would've also been firmly entrenched in the top-20 all-time list as fellow Europeans, if not for the former's untimely death and the latter playing his prime years in Europe.

On a side note, just as Dirk is about to pass Robertson in the NBA all-time scoring list by season's end, Doug McDermott, regarded by many as a poor man's Dirk passed the Big O on the college all-time scoring list with an incredible 45 point game on senior night!!

Dirk signed a 3 year 30 million dollar contract. With good health he will finish his career as the 6th all time scorer and the only white player with 30,000 points. By accepting a contract well below his market value, Dirk has given the Mavericks an opportunity to land some additional talent. Tim Duncan is also playing for about 10 million a season, in contrast to Kobe Bryant who signed for 30 million per season, despite his age, injuries, and the Lakers need for more talent. Oh well, I'll enjoy watching Kobe sputter to the end of his career out of the playoffs.

It would be incredible if Nowitzki and Love somehow teamed up together. They both play power forward so Nowitzki would have to play the 3. What an incredible combination that would be but Love most likely ends up in Chicago.

With good health, Nowitzki could become one of only 4 players with 30,000 points and 10,000 rebounds. The other three are Jabbar, Chamberlain, and Malone.

He could also become one of only 3 players to have 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 3,000 assts., 1,000 stls., and 1,000 blocks! The other two are Jabbar and Malone.

I think if all this happens, he's a top 10 all-time player, maybe even higher than Malone with the NBA Championship, Malone never got!

Dirk is my favorite player in the caste sport of the nba. He is as awesome as he is equally ignored by marxist headquarters bspn. He should have 2 titles at least. The league is rigged but he still rules all over the court for a big man. I hope he reaches those stats. He's always been great inside and out and can hit the 3 consistently. If he had high melanine levels he would be worshipped by the cultists from shore to shore 24/7. He's that good but he must be ignored for the agenda.

Dirk took a huge paycut 3 year $30 million. I hate it when Whites take paycuts. It just means more money for blacks and jews owners.

Atleast with Tom Brady, he did it to keep his fellow White teammates on the team.

Easy big guy hes already made over 200 million in his playing career. I applaud him for showing loyalty to tue Mavs and allowing them to go out and get some other contributors for their team! Unlike diva James who only cares about himself. Dirk is a class act on the court, hoping he stays healthy!

Nowitzki, begins his march up the all time scoring list tonight against SA. Nowitzki currently sits at number 10 all time with 26,786 points. With good health he should get to and pass Moses Malone, 27,409, for 7th and has an outside shot at catching Shaquille O'Neal, number 6, with 28,596 points.

DN also has 9,594 career rebounds and needs 406 to get 10,000. He got 498 rebounds last season.

Nowitzki scored 23 points last night and passes Hakeem Olajuwon for 9th on the all-time scoring list. Dirk now has 26,953 points.

Next up is Elvin Hayes, 27,313. At his current pace, Nowitzki should pass Hayes in about 19 games.

6. Shaquille O'Neal 28,596
7. Moses Malone 27,409
8. Elvin Hayes 27,313
9. Dirk Nowitzki 26,953
10. Hakeem Olajuwon 26,946

Nowitzki should get to number 7 before year's end and then next season start working on passing the likes of O'Neal and Chamberlain.

Dirk and Kobe are both 36 years old with 1,200 regular season games played. But, Kobe is breaking down while Dirk is aging like fine wine. Here's a look at their career numbers and season numbers:

Dirk: 1196 games, 48% FG, 38% 3P, 88% FT, 8.1 Reb, 2.6 APG, 22.5 PPG
Kobe:1252 games, 45% FG, 33% 3P, 84% FT, 5.3 Reb, 4.8 APG, 25.5 PPG

2014
Dirk: 8 games, 53%FG, 49% 3P, 83% FT, 6.0 Reb, 2.4 APG, 20.9 PPG
Kobe:7 games, 39%FG, 29% 3P, 77% FT, 5.6 Reb, 3.4 APG, 26.7 PPG

Dirk has always been the more efficient scorer, but this is getting ridiculous.

Congratulations, Dirk. Now #7 all-time scorer, passing Moses Malone. Next up, Shaq.

Put that into perspective guys. It's an achievment of epic proportions. No one could have ever dreamed it. To do that in todays NBA means one you have to be a superstar among stars, two a team has to believe in you and three you have to stay with the same team for the most part. Like Jordan with the Bulls, Bird with the Celics, Kobe with the Lakers and now Dirk with the Mavericks. I'm so happy right now.

Congrats Dirk. What would make this season ever better would be to see him make a run at competing for his 3rd Nba Championship. He is 1 -1 right now. 2 out of 3 would sound alot better. Even Lebron is only 2 out of 5 in the Nba Finals. Lol.

Look for Dirk to become only the 5th player in NBA history with 28,000 points and 10,000 rebounds in the next 12-14 games.

Nowitzki currently has 27,774 pts. and 9,937 rebs. At his current pace he should get this no later than his next 14 games.

Also, look for him to become 1 of only 3 players in NBA history with 30,000 pts., 10,000 rebs., over 3,000 assts., over 1,000 blks., and 1,000 steals, should he play 2 more seasons!

Nothing would make me happier than to see Dirk end up a top 5 player of all time! He helped pave the way for more european players in basketball along with Nash, Sabonis, Petrovic, Schremf and a few others.

As I always say guys. "Long Live King Dirk Nowitzki".

In all honesty he should be 2-0. Dallas was cheated out of their first finals by a corrupt group of officials. One of whom went to prison because of it. Strangely, this fact is never, ever brought up by the mainstream sports media.
