DeShawn Stevenson arrested

deshawnn_400.jpg

Stevenson was just walking around an apartment complex wasted and didn't know where he was? I wonder if when he sobered up, he was like, "What, why is Abraham Lincoln tattooed on my neck?!?"

smiley36.gif
Yep, and yet we are supposed to think that Kyle McAlarney, Adam Haluska, Ben Hansbrough and dozens of other White men, even hundreds of others, couldn't make some 3s in the playoffs and Finals? Oh, wait, they aren't even "allowed" to play in the regular season or in the NBA.. My bad!

Mavs' blacks are blacks, not Ns.

There are blacks and there are Ns.

The distinction exists in our minds only.

I kinda agree that the Mavs blacks are a bit better then rest in the NBA. I mean Dallas has a few punks (Stevenson), but keep in mind others are more well behaved. Look at Chandler, he spent the first 10 years growing up in a small farming community, as traditional as you can get. We don't see him raping women or any other non-sense. So in return he deserves some respect.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but it's just my two cents.

Way to screw it up DuhShawn. lol
He just took some money off the table with that.

... Not sure where Nash ranks. He is up there somewhere. Hopefully he gets a ring too.
Nash had some great playoff runs but was hurt by David Stern when he hated Nash and the Suns, Dirk and the Mavs,
and J-Will/Webber/Divac/Peja and the Kings. He's been on a great run the past five or six years and he lead the league in assists again this year.

Oh j41181, sorry I missed the "mainstream" perspective part. I will say that I think most fans realize that Dirk is better than Lebron "this year". Heck, Charles Barkley called Dirk "the best player in the NBA this year" "BEFORE THE FINALS STARTED". According to some posters Barkley is too hard on certain white players- so that says a lot of Dirk's recognition by media and fans this year.
The "mainstream perspective" is BS!!!

This would be MY list...

1. Larry Bird
2. Michael Jordan
3. Magic Johnson
4. Bill Russell
5. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
6. Wilt Chamberlain
7. Tim Duncan
8. Kobe Bryant
9. Hakeem Olajuwon
10. Shaquille O'Neal
11. Oscar Robertson
12. Jerry West
13. Moses Malone
14. Elgin Baylor
15. Julius Erving
16. John Havlicek
17. Dirk Nowitzki
18. Karl Malone
19. Bob Pettitt
20. Scottie Pippen
21. Kevin Garnett
22. Charles Barkley
23. John Stockton
24. Bob Cousy
25. Isaiah Thomas
26. Rick Barry
27. Dwyane Wade
28. David Robinson
29. Lebron James
30. Jason Kidd
31. Steve Nash

Nash's best chance at an NBA ring was dashed in 2003 (Dirk's injury) and 2007 (Stern, crooked refs). If he can at least make it to the finals, I'd bump him past Charles Barkley.

Way to put one for the team, DeShawn.

He's just lucky to be part of a blue collar, old school team. Notice how wild, undisciplined he gets when it's party time. There's not much difference between a black and a Ni--er. Just two different words, you are what you are.

Great posts by most of you guys. I really am enjoying reading this thread. One very important thing to remeamber is the talent surrounding the all stars on this list that helped to lead to the multiple titles. To name a few:

Magic had Worthy and Jabar

MJ had Pippen and Rodman

Bird had McHale, Parrish and Ainge

Bill Russell had Cousy and Havlicek

Tim Duncan had Robinson, Parker and Ginobli

Ok I will stop for now. The point I'm making is so blatantly obvious. Look at the talent surrounding almost everyone of these guys and then look at the two teams that Dirk led to the NBA Finals. He had some good players but he didn't have the All Star Supporting Cast that most NBA Champions have. Look what happended to Chicago. D.Rose didn't have much help so is he really the MVP of the league? My vote would have went to Dirk. Year after year he has done amazing with little help.

Kidd, Terry, and Chandler are good basketball players but none of them are even remotely close to being all stars anymore. Only Jason Kidd is worthy of being in the same sentence as Dirk and that would only be back when he was in his prime. He is on the downside of a great career. Dirk Nowitzki deserves all of the praise he is getting. Maybe even more. The guy is a legend. Put him on the teams that Bird had and he would have had at least 3 rings too in my honest opinion. I could say the same thing if he played on many of these other all stars teams too.

Let's salute this legend. Dirk is simply amazing!

Steveson wondering around in a drunken stupor, in a ghetto hood of a friend at O dark thirty? WTF. I guess the saying," You can take the N out of the hood, but never the hood out of the N" is true. Its like in that movie "New Jack City" where Chris Rock says, "It(rock/hood/crime)keeps calling me."

What is worse, AP taking a piss in the parking lot of a Mickey Ds in the dead of winter in Minn at O dark thirty or Stevenson getting his "purple drank" swerve on to the point of not knowing where he was?

I'll go with the latter.

AP taking a piss in the parking lot of Mickey D's is worse. DeShaun being hammered two days after winning the NBA Championship & getting arrested for public intoxication is alright by me because

a) he's allowed to have some / many cold totties after helping the Mavs win the title. I think all Mavs should get a 3-month free drinking pass around Dallas for bringing a title to Big D. LOL
b) he was lost wandering around an apartment complex in Irving. I worked in Irving for 10 years and got lost wandering around these non-descript generic apt complexes with no alcohol in me.

and there you have it ...

Bill Russell had more than that. He had Heinsohn, KC Jones, Sam Jones, Bill Sharman and other good role players. He had the deepest team ever. That's why he won so many titles. He might be the biggest "overrated" legend. Really he was Tyson Chandler with much more offensive polish. Chandler has none and that's why he isn't a perennial all star.

Bill Russell will always be persona non grata to me. Several months back a member posted a story how racist he was toward the people that made him wealthy.

The best part of that story is alot of White people surprisingly got tired of his "intellectual rants against the Man" and decided to break into his house, and vandalise his bed, by taking two mammoth size dumps on it! Classic!

Happy for Dirk, and Kidd, finally getting rings. But really, must the NBA season go almost to the middle of June? I can remember watching the Celtics beating the Lakers in the eighties, and it seeming rather strange that I was still watching basketball in the middle of May. I guess the longer and longer seasons and more watered down playoffs must mean more money.

That last game, the play was so sloppy. The players looked just about spent.

Kevin McHale should be on that list if Lebron James is going to be on it. Pete Maravich should be on it, too.

Lebron has no business being on that list if Clyde Drexler isn't on it. Who came up with that list?

Some fat, 12 year old loser White kid who plays video games all day and with a pu$$y for a father?

Funny yet true! McHale was 1 of the best PFs of all time. As I've said a few times here on CF...Bird is the best player to ever step on the hardwood. My top 10 would be...

1. Larry Bird
2. Magic Johnson
3. Michael Jordan
4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
5. Jerry West
6. Bill Russell
7. Hakeem Olajuwon
8. Oscar Robinson
9. John Havlicek
10. Bob Cousy

Honorable Mention = Stockton, Pettit, K.Malone, Nash, Dirk & Dr.J

I've really been enjoying sports lately.  The Stanley Cup playoffs are always great, the tennis has been superb this year, and golf is so much more enjoyable without the media talking about the injured and now almost forgotten Tiger Woods 80 percent of the time.  Whites are more than holding their own in baseball again this season, and Lemaitre is going sub-10 again.  And Nowitzki's play has been sensational whether Dallas ends up winning the championship or not.  If not no one will be blaming Dirk, unlike past seasons.  It's all good right now.

Nowitzki and his mates defeating the gruesome Negro circus Miami Heat is one of the great moments in all of CasteFootball history. The hysterical fawning of the Negro-worshipping press, combined with the all-out arrogant boasting and bravado of the Three Expensive Negroes on the Miami team, made their humiliating defeat immensely satisfying.

Indeed it's been a great year for White Americans in sport. I look for Whites to steal the show in Major League Baseball as well. PERFECT would be if the NBA and NFL both went on strike and stayed gone for two or three yearsEdited by: Realgeorge

Bill Russell was not always especially likeable, but as a basketball player, he was anything but overrated.

"...George Mikan? did he play center? George Mikan was ages ago for someone my age lol..."

Arguably Mikan belongs in any top 50 list. As a player he is responsible for; 3 second rule, expansion of the key from 6 to 12 feet, time-clock, goal tending rule, Mikan Drill. As an executive he is responsible for; 3 point shot, formation of Minnesota Timberwolves, formation of the ABA, increased pensions for pre-'65 players, red/white/blue ball.

It seems weird, but before Mikan tall players were considered too clumsy for basketball. Mikan gets extra points for being American-Croatian, wearing glasses while playing and becoming a successful corporate and real estate attorney. 7 league championships. 6 kids.

Yeah, but what would he do today against modern athletes? Wrong question. What would modern athletes do against Mikan in his era? Mikan had 10 broken bones and 16 stitches during his professional career. It stands to reason he did as much damage via clean, hard basketball to his opponents.

Mikan didn't just adapt or adjust. He invented himself as a player. There was no model for him to follow. To my mind the statue of George Mikan outside Target Center in Minneapolis serves the same purpose as the statue of Utah's Philo T. Farnsworth in the Capitol Building. To not forget.

So now, before practice, do 50 Mikans.

Mikan played a similar game to Kareem with the Lakers where the offense flowed through him. The only problem he might have is 6'10" is now a power forward and his game was a pure centers. But then again if he was born a generation or two later maybe he would have been 7'+. Edited by: white is right

Kevin Love is 6'9 and averaged 20 points and 15 rebounds. George Mikan would
probably be effective. I think it was a pretty rough game back then so Mikan EARNED his points
I also read that the ball then was weird and harder to shoot which is why shooting percentages were low.

The 50's and 60's basketball was BIGGER and the hoop SMALLER in those days, dribbling and handling them was quite a challenge itself. Taking FT's and long range shots was much more difficult then, and the defenses and battling for boards was much tougher.

The chance of getting injured in Mikan's days was extremely high with players often retiring between the ages of 28-32. Basketball wasn't a big payday sport then either. Most players earned anywhere from $5,000-20,000 a season , with $50,000 possibly the biggest.

Still, having seen good share of re-runs from those days, the style of play was hardly different from now, simply that players today are just better trained, the game much more demanding.

The real difference from Mikan's days and now, is that most players today tend to be arrogant, prima donna millionaires (MOSTLY Black). Unlike their predecessors who were primarily blue collar, hardworking, classy folks (MOSTLY White).Edited by: j41181
