I noticed all the assistant coaches were fired in Arizona. Yet, Denny Green is still the head coach. This happened while he wascoaching the Vikings, and I remember thinking how odd that was.Is this common? Does anybody know of any situations where this has happened. I thought ussually teams clean house top to bottom.

I believe Buffalo fired all of their coaches this year, but kept Mularkey. Of course he quit today.

Most head coaches would have the integrity to quit if all their assistant coaches were fired. Sounds like theCardinals' execsdon't have the guts to fire Green because they're afraid of being called racist.

BTW, that franchise is cursed and one of the reasons is they kept the name Cardinals when they moved from St. Louis.Suns, Diamondbacks, Coyotes, all pretty good names. But Cardinals. . .

One such incident I recall is when the Detroit Lion Owner William Clay Ford fired allof Head Coach George Wilson's assistants, a warning to Wilson to win or else. This was following the 1964 season when the Lions went 7-5-2. Wilson thought it over for a few days and handed in his resignation. Wilson had won Detroit's last NFL Title in 1957. Let's see if Dennis Green does the same thing.

Trade Culpepper to Arizona and let Brad Johnson command the Vikings. Great fit for both teams.

I read Denny fired the offensive coordinater after the loss to the Bears. Any assistant coaches get fired today? How long can this guy continue to pull this off without getting the axe himself?

How long is his contract? That is just as much of a factor as race, probably more if he has alot of years left.

I actually want Dennis to keep his job, keeping the winning tradition of the Cardinals going. Also his press conferences might top even the great lines of Parcells. We know who the Bears are..........

The media will finally have something to air other than that old Jim Mora rant about the Saints. But whether it'll be made into a similar "classic" is debatable given Green's pigmentation.

Could be Green's pep talks don't make any more sense than his rants. Instead of leaving the locker room fired up, the players leave it looking at each other and scratching their heads.

Unlike his stint in Minnesota, he may actually have a quarterback that can save his job.

It took an injury for him to start Brad Johnson and look what happened! They became instant contenders but it was too little too late.

He is dead of cardiac arrest at 67.

Expect the "more black coaches" cultural Marxism to really be ramped up.

Green was one of the more entertaining black head coaches, but his teams were always among the blackest. This ranks right up there as one of the most memorable rants by an NFL coach, though of course Jim Mora's "playoffs?? playoffs????" will always be number one.
