I like the fact that spike lee's favorite team that he goes to see courtside now has 2 white stars

Well, the only reason that David Lee gets a pass from Spike is that they share the same last name........

Lee had a monster game last night with 31 points and 17 rebounds. Gallinari also had a good game with 20 points in a loss to the Lakers.

Lee seems to be a fan favorite as well which is nice to see. I am glad Lee is more than a scorer and grabs so many rebounds to avoid the "soft label" unfairly attached to so many white athletes.

He is a bit more athletic than Kaman but I still think Kaman is the better overall center. Kaman has a better post up game than Lee though.

I view David Lee as more of a power forward despite the center position the Knicks play him at sometimes. He's 6-9 and not a center in my opinion. I voted for him everyday at NBA.com for the all-star game and his position was listed as forward. Hands down,no question that Kaman deserves a roster spot on the all-star team.

He sure does but the DWF's decide who plays.

I never understand how David is getting these fantastic stat lines. I admit I never sit through an entire NBA game, let alone a Knick game (being on the west coast), but everytime I watch I notice that it seems the Knicks almost never run a ply through Lee. It seems like he has to get all his points off the mishaps of others. Just think if they would actually channel some of their play calling through him. He would be an All-Star starter. But they probably can't do that because somebody else on the team would complain they're not getting their "looks".

You make solid points but Shawn Marion has also always been the type of player who rarely gets plays run for him but still fills up the stat sheet. By now, everybody in Knickland including his fellow black teammates know Lee is clearly the MVP of that team. Edited by: guest301

David Lee had better make the All-Star Game this year...if he doesn't...I'll be pulling for the West as usual...when was the last time a white player played for the East All-Stars?? Hard to remember....good to see the Knicks actually got on TV...

Zydrunas Ilgauskas was the last white to play for the Eastern All-Stars. That was in 2005. I have this positive feeling Lee will make it. I mean 31 points and 17 rebounds, near back-to-back triple doubles? Are you kidding me? No coach in his right mind would not pick this Knicks upstart. He's playing for a huge market team, and when he becomes a free agent, a team like Dallas had better pick him.

So far... Nash and Dirk have made it.

Lee, Gasol and Kaman are the only other whites with strong chances. Lee has a 90% chance of making it (good thing he's in the East), while it's a 50-50 chance for both Gasol and Kaman.

I'm hoping 4 of the 5 will make it, but I'd rather see all in of course!

Someone name JAZZINEFX really hates David Lee. Hell, he also criticizes Dirk and Nash to an astronomical degree. I know the opinions of people differ but, c'mon! Who does this nitwit think he is?

He's from Philadelphia, and a SICK Iverson fan. Not to mention a strong backer for T-Mac (see a pattern?). While he does respect the great Larry Bird, every present-day white player to him is "underachieving" and SUCKS.

Sample Comments:

And David Lee is supposed to be in the All-Star Game?? Give me a M-Fing break!!!

"It's not about race, Lee is an UNDERACHIEVING ROLE-PLAYER!! Where was he tonight?? 50 point BLOWOUT!! He was NO FACTOR IN THE GAME!!

He is NOT A LEADER!!! All-Stars are LEADERS who make their teammates better, who inspires their teammates to be better. That's what Larry Bird did, and he was white!!! If you are a factor, race makes no difference.

Lee is just getting the benefit of playing time!! He hasn't made a difference for the Knicks all season, in spite of getting MAJOR MINUTES IN GAMES!!!"

J4 thats ridic I do not knowhowyou can program yourself to ignore his stats. Who cares about the NBA All Star game anyways? The players goof around the whole time anyways laughing and are more concerned with conversation then the game. If Allen Iverson can still make the game based on fans votes alone that will keep me from watching this sad excuse as an "All Star" game.

I hope the 128-78 loss to Dallas won't hamper Lee's All-Star chances!

Lee had 28 points and 10 rebounds in an equally lop-side 132-105 Knicks trashing on the Wolves.

I watched some of this game yesterday. David Lee stripped the ball from Kevin Love several times. Love was unable to handle Lee's athleticism. Also during the game they mentioned that Gallinari was named one of New York's most eligible bachelors. Good stuff!!

I have noticed lately that some ESPN and Yahoo Columnists are pushing Al Horford over David Lee for a All-Star spot. They make a bizarre case for Horford's defense being more important than the offense that Lee provides for the Knicks. I fear Lee is going to get screwed.

Lee is a good defender as well and he should be an All-Star. He also has one of the highest efficiency ratings in the league.

Since when did it become a requirement to be on a winning team just to be an All-Star???

Lee and Kaman were both snubbed!!!
smiley87.gif

Not just these two, Monte Ellis (26 ppg.) was snubbed also, unbelievable!!!

I'm watching the Raptors-Knicks game right now, and David Lee is absolutely a BEAST!!!

This is definitely one of the biggest All-Star snubbing I've ever seen!

I'm pissed off. David Lee is a class act on and off the court. He is one of the best centers in the nba. He rebounds like an animal and can score night in and night out. What a complete joke that he is being left off the team.

David Lee was an ABSOLUTE STEAL in the 2005 Draft!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_NBA_Draft

Lee has DECISIVELY OUTPERFORMED SO MANY affletes that were selected before him! Take a look.. The cream rises to the top!

If what David Lee is accomplishing is "so easy" - why are so few others' doing what he's doing??

David Lee dominates Al Horford in every major statistical category. Lee's stats are legit - the Knicks aren't even playing the up-tempo game this year. They're only averaging 101 points.
