David Lee

He won't have the same numbers like last season (likely never), but he'll be a solid 15-16 points, 9-10 rebounds, 3-4 assists player for much of his career. Those 2 years under D'antoni have served him well. As far as All-Star chances go, don't expect it, not when young guys like Blake Griffin and Kevin Love are on the horizon.

J41181, why do you think Lee will never have numbers like he did last season?

Monta Ellis, and Stephen Curry, it's a guard oriented team. I already knew that.

Monta Ellis takes a large number of shots and so does Curry. On most other teams in the league Lee would be scoring 20 ppg though.

Nice game for David Lee...

19 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals

Warriors win 122-112 over Clippers. Lee held is own against powerhouse Blake Griffin (28 points, 13 rebounds). Griffin (25th consecutive DD's) continues to keep pace with Kevin Love (26 consecutive DD's).

David Lee...

16 points (6-16 FG's, 4-5 FT's)
15 rebounds
3 assists
2 steals

Got a rare chance to see Blake Griffin (30 points, 18 rebounds, 8 assists) in action, and he's simply a MONSTAH!!! He's a bigger and more athletic version of David Lee. If he develops a mid-range jumper, lookout! It wouldn't surprise me if his huge biceps are cluttered with tattoos one day, since he appears to be a decent fellow.

David Lee huge game last night..... 30 pts, 15 rebs.

He's avg 18.2 pts, 10.9 rebs, and almost 4 ass. per game. Should be an all-star!

David Lee is a monster. The guy has had 3 straight 20 points plus/10 rebounds plus, games in a row all on the road. He cannot be stopped. I love this kid and after Kevin Love, he is about as good as it gets. Golden State is a fun team to watch along with the Suns, Magic, Bucks, Twolves and Pacers.

Most underrated player in the league.
Barely gets a mention during game highlight shows. It was the same when he was in NY.

Pekovic is perhaps 2nd, but people are starting to take note of him now.

Lee should be a star yet he's not considered one. I believe D'Antoni said he wasn't too athletic when they brought Stoudemire in to replace him in NY. Doesn't he know he won the slam dun contest?

David Lee continues to impress:
29 pts and 8 rebounds last night.
26 points and 9 points the night before.
And yet, the average fan probably has never heard of him....

David Lee with a triple double last night: 23 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high 11 assists.
He now has 11 games with 20+pts and 10+rbds. This is the most in the NBA.

THats a sweet black eye for the caste system. Thanks for that jacknyc!

This season David Lee is doing what the lying New York Caste Media claimed he could never do. Be a focal player on a winning, playoff caliber team. Well after beating the division leading Clippers last night, Lee's Warriors are only 2.5 games back. The Warriors are hot and Lee is the main reason. Since December, the Warriors have gone 13-4 and in that same span David has scored over 20 points in all but 2 of them. To give the full picture, he's averaged 22.7 points and 11.4 rebounds! That sure disproves the theory that Lee was only a good player on Mike D'Antoni's losing teams.

To further rub salt in the Caste Media's wound, look at the guy the Knicks dumped and didn't pay Lee for, Amar'e Stoudemire (sp). He's been a bum. First, the Knicks paid him more than Lee would have signed for. Second, Lee is more talented. Third, Lee is younger. Fourth, Stoudemire is injury prone. Is there anyone, Caste Media jocksniffer or DWF, that would still rather have Stoudemire than Lee? Will any of them admit they were wrong?

D'Antoni stated that Stoudemire is more athletic than Lee after that trade. Lee was a dunk champion and is a great athlete. Stoudemire is done.

Love David Lee. I remember him WA33 coming out of High School, I believe around St. Louis area, yes a dunk champion and a fine athlete!

One that got away from Coach K at Duke. They (Duke) heavily recruited him, but he chose Florida.

A point I made earlier on the Duke thread about Coach K will always recruit the great white players, but he'll never land them all. I really hate he didn't play for Duke. It still hurts.

David Lee still leads the NBA in 20+pts and 10+rbds games.
He is 10th in the league in scoring and 5th in rebounding.
Pretty impressive. Unfortunately, he gets very little recognition for his talents.
He completely outplayed Blake Griffin last night, but Blake will continue to get all the press regardless.

I remember a few years back on all star weekend Lee was the MVP of the rookie game. I think he had like 20 points all on dunks. He was high flying over the heads of afroletes, and catching lobs left and right. His athleticism should never be questioned by anyone.

The Human Double-Double(leads the NBA w 35)...David Lee had 25 points 22 rebounds tonight in a Warriors 107-101 OT Win over the Spurs!

This probably belongs in a different thread bu David Lee will have some long term support from Andrew Bogut. The Warriors just signed Bogout to a 3 year contract. These two together when healthy as dominant as any twosome in the nba. They remind me a little of Love and Pekovic. Hope the warriors can have some success with these two in the starting lineup.
