Danny Woodhead

I'd like to see the "males" who make up the writing talent (sic) at RoboCaste. What a pathetic bunch they must be.

Weenieworld's head writers pose before they huddle and decide which negative stereotypes they should use that day for White athletes.

Ya gotta love Weenieworld's doublespeak analysis of the Patriots signing Woodhead:

The Patriots signed him? This is fantastic. I hope the coach actually wants him on the field and isn't just trying to get information on the Jets schemes for tomorrow's game. Welker was given a fair shake, maybe Danny will be given a shot too.

With Rotoworld's huge man running the show I'm not surprised at the usual shots at white players. The kid can't be more than 18 years old.

Yeah, I've already seen some analysis that Belichik did this to play mind games with the Jets. Hopefully he gets a fair shot.

This is great news for us and Danny he has bills to pay. I pray the Pats give him a chance to show his ability. Let's think Welker!

I think the Pats signed Woodhead as the replacement for Kevin Faulk who is 34 now, but he will probably have to do a 1 or 1 1/2 year apprenticeship. I expect Woodhead to get a small number of snaps this year- on third downs- and for him to slowly start taking reps from Faulk next year (or Faulk could retire after this year). Woodhead could become the Pats next steal from a division rival- ala Wes Welker. Unfortunately, this being the NFL- and Belichik loving a backfield by committee- I doubt Woodhead ever EVENLY splits carries in a dual threat backfield, but he could emerge to as big a role as Faulk hopefully.

Wow great for Danny! I have a feeling he'll be met with a lot of enthusiasm from the fans in Foxborough!!

I can see the first two but "Booger" would probably be too hung over to write anything....

I saw an article a few days ago where the writer implied that Woodhead would be plucked off the waiver wire because he knew the offense of the Jets. It will be interesting to see how the Patriots use Woodhead.

He'll play. Belichik doesn't like to see rb's sitting around doing nothing. I just wonder why he wasn't signed right away. Why wait all week?

Good news anyway.

Tom Iron...

Awesome! I hope this really works out for the Patriots and Woodhead! It's great to see any NFL team in today's era that has guys like Welker, Edelman, Gronkowski and now Danny Woodhead! Let's hope the Patriots offense beats up the rest of the NFL and sets a precedent for white players!

At least he's going to a team with a track record of treating white players fairly, so this may end up being Wes Welker, Part 2, who knows. That may be too optimistic, but I hope Danny sticks on the roster and slowly works his way into offense.

I can't stand Belichick, but anyone who gives Woodhead a chance to play might start to become ok in my book.Danny go to Foxboro and state your case for playing time. The Jets will regret releasing you I hope.

This just goes to show everyone that karma is a you know what. I hope Danny makes the most of his oppurtunity to shine in Foxborough.

All the fans have to do is see him play well and all of a sudden theyl see whites can run the ball just like whites can catch the ball. Of course this is assuming he gets playing time.

plus Pats actually occasionally had white runningbacks, they used both Evans and even Kyle Eckel at times.

My friend text me the good news! I figured no way a talent like Woodhead would sit idle for very long...some team would have to give him a chance...but then again this is the NFL we are talking about here.

The Patriots can become what the old school Celtics were with Bird, McHale, Ainge,etc...The all white O-Line with Welker, Edelman, Gronkowski...

And like TJR said...he can be the versatile threat like Kevin Faulk is now!

The Vikings could have had Dannyeasily replace Albert Young. Thought the Packers might be interested too.

Not completely true. The Patriots have given players such as Welker and Edelman opportunities but look at their defense.

I bet Belechick gives Woodhead some carries today if they are winning by alot in the final minutes just to stick it to fat ass Ryan and the Jets.

Let's hope for the best. I'm glad that DW was signed by someone. Now, if only Matt Jones and Kevin Curtis can get signed as well.
Maybe injuries will give a Casted White player a chance to shine.

We'll know in a week or 2 if Patriots only signed Woodhead to pick his brain for the Jets Offensive play book.

Yes, he probably would have been a better fit for the Packers, but hey, who cares at this point. The Caste system will not go down without a vicious fight. Every modest small victory counts.
I hope Danny plays today.
You think he's itching to stick it to the Jets?
F YOU Coach Ryan!

Thats what I'm hoping for as well White Power. It would be so satisfying to see Woodhead finnish off the Jets today and see the demoralised black faces alongside Rex Ryan. New Englands offense just gets better and better. As an Englishman who has only been watching the NFL for 5 years (the games that are watchable) it's pretty damn clear to me that two of the best and most effecient offenses are the two whitest in New England and Indy. I let my friends know about this. GO DANNY!

Kevin Curtis is only 32. That's relatively young when you compare him to some of the old farts in the league like 38 year old Joey Galloway, 36 year old Terrell Owens, and Randy Moss whose 33.
