let's face it, Pickering is up against some tough odds. I'm sure as much as England would like to see CP become the next Wells, there is some caste system going on. then add in the Ped abuse, and it would be a feat in itself to make the team. Devonish is still in the game because of roids, Chambers I would bet my left nut is back to needles again, and don't get me started on Aikines-Aryeety. that still leaves a Williamson, Phiri, Edgar, Fifton & Dasaolu (hopefully out with a injury). CP has got to shine! he needs a PR before the WC if he is going to go for other than a relay member.the other day my grandmother asked if there was anyone I would like her to ad to her pray list and I said "yeah, Craig Pickering". I want this kid to shine and would like to see his Jamaican training country men get nailed for PEDs!Don't you guys just want to hug this kid and tell him how much he makes you proud to be white!

Great post. Prayers are more powerful than you think. Support is very much needed. I've said it before, belive it or not, Craig reads alot of these threads. He also has a youtube channel but likes his privacy. Thanks for rooting him on guys.

I forgot to mention that some of the competition outside of Bolt is a friend in Matic Osovnikar. Also Simone Collio and Paul Hession. Should be a great race for 2nd place! In reality that sucks but Mr. Flinstones will 99% win of course. I'm pumped for the competition though and never concede anything until the finish line.Edited by: white lightning

Ok. I hope Craig does really well and stays with Bolt for the first 60, and then holds on for a 10.10. Bolt is guarenteed to run a 9.8 or lower. On the slow Canadian track last week into a slight headwind, after false starts, and slowing down, in the rain, he ran 10.00. Humans are not that fast!!!I think Bolt will bring out the best in Craig. I hope the wind is behind him. Let's go Craig!!!

No problem. Well it's about 8 hours approx. until the meet starts. Got that nervous energy going. I'm hoping for the best as the adrenaline is pumping overtime. Hard to get any sleep if you know what I'm talking about.

Just to let you guys know of the upcoming schedule. The next 2 races will be in Milan on the 25th followed by a race in Lyon on the 30th! Have to get the times down. After that it will be almost time to compete for a spot in Berlin. Not making the Europe Cup Team might just be a blessing in disguise. Not showing everything just yet. Holding back just a bit until the time is right. Remember the goal guys.

The thing i like most about this race even more than the time is that Craig commandingly beat 2 or 3 other sub 10 second runners to take 2nd place which in a race with Bolt could be considered like 1st since nobody will beat Bolt or even come close. Great race I'm pumped up and Craig will continue to bring it harder and harder each race.

I must say that Bolt is special..... after he reached the front he pulled another half metre for every ten metres run on the whole field, and these other guys are really good athletes. That's a 5% higher top speed and he's the most sure favourite to win his event barring injury.

BUT;
that was a very composed and confident race by Craig. They could all see Bolt just flying away after 40m but it didn't seem to affect Craig's form. No one was going to catch him for 2nd place.
So there it is, Pickering knows his legs will take him sub 10.10 (virtually legal)in nice conditions. I hope this is the confidence boost he needs.
Or, put another way, he was 1 metre away from a sub 10.... yes, just 1% away from a sub 10

Bolt is on steroids. Justa about every pro sprinter knows it. Carl Lewis, Tobias Unger, and Dexter Faulk all imply it.

Craig is sooooooo fast right now. Italy has some fast tracks, so I hope he legally lowers his PB below 10.10 or 10, even. He must have so much confidence now.

lol. When I see 9.98 on the results sheet with less than 2.1 wind I am going to pass out, first from sheer happiness. then from alcohol. then im going to wake up and do it again.

Where is the love? Where is the hugs? Hehehe. I told you guys how training was going. I've told you about the lower body fat ratio. The times are there in this range on a consistant level in practice. Not every day but enough to prove that this time is obtainable. Just can't catch a break. Either no wind, negative wind or too much wind. It's all a bunch of hot air! Too many critics. The anger before the race actually hurt the start. Fell asleep at the blocks out of anger. You guys have no idea how the amount of rage is building. Still on an island and most in GB don't give a damn! Especially the teammates. Invitation for the Euro backup or Relay Team. Don't really want it! Probably won't have a choice but again on an island.

It's nice to have a few fans. The start and the wind cost a 10.00 time in my opinion. Still more in the tank. Still angry. Still mad. Get the hell out of the way. Going to bust though that barrier. Get the f*** out of the way. Nothing short of a brick wall will stop a sub 10! People can keep hating. Keep rooting against. It will not matter.
