Here are my football picks for the week. BYU covers Washington State. South Carolina covers Vanderbilt. UMASS covers UCONN and then some. And unfortunately Michigan State is going to pound Boise State into submission. I dont bet on sports but these are all locks.

I hope to stay awake for the BYU game tonight, but I'm definitely looking forward to watching Rex Burkhead run wild through the Southern Miss defense Saturday afternoon!

Here are the games with big differences between amount of white starters (4 or more for small conferences, 3 or more for others), for tonite and Friday. I'll have Saturdays up tomorrow.
Vandy 11 white starters, South Carolina 3 white starters
Akron 8, UCF 1
Rice 13, UCLA 9
NC State 5, Tenn 2
Boise St 14, Michigan St 8

Saturday's games

Ohio 14, Penn St 10
Northwestern 11, Syracuse 8
Nevada 10, Cal 7
Iowa 12, N.Ill 7
Buffalo 10, Georgia 6
Bowling Green 9, Florida 2
Wyoming 11, Texas 5
Hawaii 5, USC 2
Michigan 8, Alabama 4
Oklahoma 6, UTEP 3
San Diego State 10, Wash 5
Duke 8, FIU 4
Texas SA 11, South Alabama 6

I'll be rooting for Michigan, inspite of the Dennard factor, as its still a much whiter team, and I'm already in my annual "defeat the SEC" mode.

I hope Sam McGuffie has taken advantage of the opportunity to get his degree from Rice.
He made a terrible football choice. David Bailiff is one of the worst coaches in the sport.

Jordan Taylor of Rice makes one of the best catches you'll see all year. But will he be nominated for one of those bogus "ESPY" awards? I wouldn' t bet on it.

Blake Bortles, who replaced the worthless black quarterback Jeff Godfrey at the midway point of last season, has been stellar for UCF so far tonight (as he was last year). This is only is second year of eligibility, so look for him to be a future high draft pick.

I'm not going to take back what I said (Bailiff sucks), but Rice is playing well against UCLA so far. Particularly on defense.

Hundley is just like every other black quarterback. If his first option isn't wide open, he takes off running.

McGuffie with the TD reception!

Rice QB Taylor McHargue has run the ball 17 times for 91 yards in this game. I might have to add him to my "Dang black quarterbacks" thread this season. McGuffie has 6 catches for 47 yards and 1TD.

Heck, they didn't even show it on the regular highlights update...just a play from the UCLA black quarterback and another one of the UCLA RB. Hopefully, Rice can pull the upset.

The only reason to watch SC (QB Connor Shaw) leaves game with shoulder injury. Vandy up 13 -10 in the 3rd.

EDIT: Shaw back in the game, but not playing aggressively.

Same with Shaw, who had 59 yards on 9 carries before his injury.

They're probably not going to win, but this is the best game Rice has played in the Bailiff era. That fumble right before halftime was a killer.
And, as well as they have played in this game, I'd say they should LEAVE Ross on the sidelines. The team is better with McHargue running the ball and Petersen blocking.

BYU looks stronger and more explosive than last year, both on offense and defense. Backup RB David Foote looks fast and is showing some very quick feet. Alisa is running hard and looks much faster and agile than last year. Highly touted duel-threat freshman QB, Taysom Hill, 6'2" 218lbs 4.5/40, came in to throw a TD, so I guess he won't be redshirting. Starting slot receiver Falslev and backup WR Ridley are making some big catches and plays too.

2 White running back sightings not yet mentioned. UCLA's Steven Manfro and UConn's Max DeLorenzo. The best part is that both guys are freshmen (Manfro a RS).

Manfro had zero carries but 3 receptions for 22 yards. I did not see the game so I wonder if he was lined up in the backfield?

DeLorenzo had a more exciting debut. He got 4 carries for 22 yards and got his 1st touchdown on a blocked punt recovery in the endzone!

It's a nice sign that both guys are playing early in their collegian careers.

PS - UConn's explosive return ace, Nick Williams, had 3 carries for 24 yards and a catch as well. I saw some of the game and he was on the field alot as the 3rd receiver. I see Williams as a Devin Hester type talent and arguably the best return man in D1. UConn would be wise to involve him alot more in the offense.

Thanks Freethinker..was about to mention Manfro(thought redshirt freshman?) too..but did not see the game and was wondering myself. Still sometimes wish McGuffie stayed at tailback; but seems like he had a solid game.

David Foote( 3 for 18 so far) had a nice 19 yard run called back; a holding call...aggrevating bec he would have had it anyway. Also blocked a punt. He needs more opportunity to run..he looks good. Last season in limited action had 13 carries 146 yards (11.2 avg!)

I made a controversial post on another site tonite about South Carolina's defense being slow and not one white playing...so easy to accuse someone of being racist when simply making an observation; fact is it's out of proportion...how can you have 22 defensive players on the two-deep and NOT 1 be white?? If it were only 4 or 5 probably would not say anything.

Manfro didn't have a very good game.
He played mostly at kick returner. He had one good return, several touchbacks, and he fumbled one of them (UCLA recovered). I'm not sure how many snaps he got on offense, but I didn't see him get any carries. He dropped one pass that was a sure touchdown with nobody around him, and another flaring out to the sideline. He did have three catches for 22 yards, though.

This was a game in which Rice had all the momentum going into halftime. They were down five with another scoring opportunity before time ran out. But a bad handoff resulted in a scoop-and-score fumble for UCLA with only seconds remaining, which pushed the Bruins' lead to 11. That seemed to completely deflate Rice, as they didn't score at all in the second half.

I'm not worried about black quarterback Hundley. He stinks. Pac-12 teams are much better than Rice. UCLA will be lucky to win one conference game.

Here's a "fun fact" for the UTSA-South Alabama game.
In addition to being a half-white team, UTSA also returns 19 starters from last year, the most of any team in Division I.

I always wondered how a team would perform if they could bring everybody back from the previous season. This year's UTSA squad is probably as close as we'll ever get to that. I will be rooting for them this year.

Caste Football favorite boxer Floyd Mayweather has put down 3 million $$ on Michigan beat Alabama this weekend:

Grand Rapids-bred boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather, who has been known to throw down some big money on sporting events, reportedly has wagered $3 million on Michigan's season opener against Alabama on Saturday night.

Mayweather is thought to have taken the 14 points U-M is getting as the underdog.

The information comes from the Twitter account of online betting website sportsbook.ag. Mayweather has not confirmed it, though, in the past, he has tweeted pictures of his winning bet slips.

One out of three aint bad. I am rooting for Boise State but they do not have a chance. Well not with kellen Moore being gone. Maybe MS will play some white corners so BS's wr can get open. haha

Michigan State or Wisconsin are my favorites to win the division. Michigan and Nebraska should also do well also. Ohio State is probably going to be as bad as they were last year largely due to the fact that Braxton Miller can't throw. I remember one game last year were WRs were getting open like crazy and he was constantly underthrowing it.

Currently watching Boise-MSU.

I was no fan of bimbo Erin Andrews, but...

They replaced her with Jemele Hill? Is ESPN suicidal?
That is one ugly creature.

LOL Riddle

At least Maxwell looks good so far. He has a really strong arm - I am hoping he strings together two good seasons and becomes a high round draft pick. Bulloughs also looks good at LB.

I hope Southwick turns out to be a good one as their are several white WRs on Boise that need to be fed the ball.

despite Michigan State's line dominating on both sides of the ball, Boise State did what none of the "experts" thought they could do: make a game of it. what they couldn't do, though, was find the answer up front. as a result, the Broncos couldn't run the ball, nor could they stop the run. it eventually bit them in the butt, despite a ballhawking defense that made a lot of big plays and kept the game close.

on the bright side, Boise's wideouts showed the ability to get open deep against MSU's vaunted cone-uh-backs (which, again, the "experts" said they couldn't do). unfortunately, first-time starting quarterback Joe Southwick didn't have the touch or poise in the pocket that his predecessor was known for, and the Bronco passing attack missed a lot of big plays, any one of which would've changed the outcome of the game.

if Boise gets these kinks worked out in the passing game (and/or figure out how to run the ball), they will once again be a potent offensive team. i expect Southwick to be much improved in his next outing.

their defense showed a lot of class despite their struggles against a very physical rushing attack, however, and their nose for the football forecasts a tough go for future opponents.
