Purdue has received a verbal commitment from three-star 2023 DT Drake Carlson.
Carlson (6'4/260) is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and plays at Father Ryan High School. The three-star prospect is the 69th-ranked DL in the country per 247Sports' composite rankings and the 614th-ranked player overall. A two-sport athlete, Carlson also excels in track and field where he was named state champion in 2021 in both the discus and shot put. Prior to committing to Purude, Carlson had received offers from other Power Five programs including Vanderbilt, Colorado, Duke, Illinois, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Stanford and Tennessee.
Oklahoma received a verbal commitment from 2023 three-star ATH Kade McIntyre.
McIntyre (6'4"/205) has played wide receiver and cornerback in high school. but On3 has him ranked as a linebacker prospect. McIntyre ranked as the 71st ATH and the seventh player out of New England. Oklahoma beat out top schools like Iowa, Minnesota and Tennessee for McIntyre's services.
Nebraska received a verbal commitment from 2023 four-star DL Riley Van Poppel.
Van Poppel (6'4"/270) made his decision after visiting Nebraska over the weekend. For Nebraska to come out on top of Michigan, Arkansas, Florida State and many more is a major win for them. He accrued 14 TFls and seven sacks in his junior year and slots in as the Cornhuskers top recruit so far.
Minnesota has received a verbal commitment from three-star 2023 EDGE Karter Menz.
Menz (6'5/215) is the top-ranked recruit in North Dakota from the 2023 class. The three-star player is the 78th-ranked EDGE and 983rd-ranked player overall per 247Sports' composite rankings. Prior to committing to Minnesota, Menz had also received offers from Air Force, Army Eastern Michigan, Kansas and Nebraska, among other programs.
Ole Miss has received a verbal commitment from 2023 four-star G Brycen Sanders.
Sanders (6'5/280) reportedly set his commitment date for June 23rd, but has moved it up after apparently being locked in on a decision. Back in April, 247Sports.com had Sanders predicted to Ole Miss, one that has now proven true over time. The four-star prospect is the 13th-ranked interior offensive lineman of the class, and is the 253rd-ranked player nationally. Other programs in his top four were Oklahoma, Tennessee and LSU.
Temple has received a verbal commitment from three-star 2023 QB Tyler Douglas.
Douglas (6'2/190) is a native of Oakhurst, New Jersey and plays for Ocean Township High School. His decision to play at Temple keeps him somewhat close to home, as he opted to play for the Owls over a handful of other programs. Before committing to Temple, Douglas had also received offers from UConn, Dartmouth, Old Dominion, Richmond, Tulane and William & Mary, among others.
