Thanks for the info. I'll do my best to get him the exposure I can on twitter. It's pure BS a talented kid like this is magically overlooked and no one knows why.

Because kids with half his GPA, run 4.8s, play one sport, post ignorance on social media but have 4 ️ And 12 offers as sophomores and freshman. I was at a showcase earlier this year
where 247sports, espn etc were and he had the fastest 40 time there even on wet grass . Fastest kid who’s a national record holder btw. beat Frew by .02... still couldn’t get rated on 247 or rivals. Bolles coaches don’t do crap for recruiting. Ex nfl player parents get their kids the most offers. He’s literally the only kid on his team that doesn’t have an offer (of those who want to play college ball). He’s one of the only kids in Jax who doesn’t. I’m venting on this thread because everyone talks about him but yet nothing. Social media, emails, film, etc constantly being published and sent to coaches for the past two years. Stupid 247sports ratings

Just curious - how did you find the site? I can do what I can to get him some exposure via social media. Frew's story is not an exception but the rule when it comes to white athletes.

To belabor a point well known here black prospects like receivers, running backs and defensive backs get a giant head start on white prospects when it comes to most recruiting classes but is especially noticeable with the younger classes. They get their name out there in the arena early and often get invited to the elite camps. Whites lag behind and usually most don't catch up.

With that said nice to see a white speedster WR emerge out of a big school in California. Elijah Barclay is 6'2" 175 pounds and looks like an early Power 5 target. Purdue and TCU are already interested in him. One to keep in mind.

Is the coach his head coach or another HS coach? I would imagine he would have some connections at the college level.

Thats an Attaboy on the post Aizbo. Theres a couple posters on here that specialize on prospects. Dolphin 15 I’m convinced is some type of supercomputing application. On 2 different occasions he has highlighted local players by me before they ever were rated yet alone mentioned or signed by the scouting services. He got one of them from a small school as a sophomore in HS, who happens to be the best Ive seen in person that wasnt hyped. Its strange someone can have that type of insight. He is now starting in the Big Ten after a late no ranked signing in March of his senior year.

Fair warning there will be some duds hyped up as well. This place for obvious reasons could never be mainstream, but I don't understand why it couldn't be a lot bigger through anonymity? This isnt any crazier than guys talking in the HS stands.

The boxing section is also amazing in how they have predicted obscure prospects from the beginning. Its cool to see them pick a guy that is 2-0 and watch the full career unfold in the thread over a span of 15 years.

I’ll call Hicken (local sports radio guy) and those guys this fall and ask their opinion on Frew and why he has no offers....
We know why, let’s hear it from them......Doesn’t grade out at the position, often plays lesser opponents, maybe an FCS team will call.....etc.....blahhhh

very well known coach. But he doesn’t even have Twitter or any social media . The amount of work Frew and family and friends have to do behind the scenes is nuts. Hours and hours of posting and tweeting and emailing. Because everyone says the same thing— what in the heck is the deal here?? Coaches contact the coach then it goes silent . Or interest shown by coaches and no offers. I know getting an offer can boost your appeal to other schools. I’m sure a lot of kids deal with this around the country. If he wasn’t awesome and all around legit stud no one would care so much . I’ll put him up against Shipley any day and Shipley is raw

If you know this coach you may want to bring up the race issue with him - blow up his world view. Same goes with the family if you are close to them. White people have to stop being so naive. Sports are the starting point for anti-white discrimination started in this country so we have a few generations of white people who are now just conditioned to accept this nonsense.

Nothing extraordinary on my end. Just bumped into Frew doing my usual sniffing around for up and coming skill players. He was at a camp and if memory serves one of the major recruiting sites ran a report.

It appears at this juncture Frew will likely not get a Power 5 offer. But he is in class of 2022 so there is still technically some more time for a big boy to show interest. I figure most of the big schools have a checklist. And for them they see white RB and close the door right then and there. Many here at CF share that sentiment. Other schools might be slightly more open minded but then they see Frew's height and that could seal his fate. Granted these schools have no qualms whatsoever bringing in smaller black skilled players. Georgia did bring in WR Ladd McConkey this year and I don't think he is six feet tall? And given the proximity perhaps Georgia might start showing interest although there is always the fear they would give him a preferred walk on status which to me is the equivalent of being the team janitor.

I don't think a player of his caliber will fall off the radar. Meaning he won't end up at some Division 2 Pumpernickel State.

If he fits the academic profile and I suspect he will, if no one has claimed him you can bet the house some Ivy League schools will be there waiting pen in hand. I don't think Ivy League schools jump in early because there are stringent academic markers that have to be satisfied and usually that can take time.

Others may violently disagree but for me I am fond of Ivy League football and I am ok with white players going there. Just think Yale RB Zane Dudek had a prep career one could only dream of and he sat by the phone waiting for Penn State to call and it never happened. He quickly changed gears and chose Yale and became an instant sensation and possible NFL prospect. My guess is if Frew doesn't hear from some of the bigger schools I wouldn't be shocked to see him end up playing for the likes of say Dartmouth or Brown. Beats the hell out of Pumpernickel State.

It is amazing how the world of football is cool with white tight ends but when it comes to positions like a no go zone like CB or others like RB and WR they get short shrift. Some recent tight end commits below:

6'5" 220 Andre Dollar to Oregon.

6'6" 240 Max Whisner to Missouri

Michigan bagged a couple of players:

LB Tyler Martin who is 6'2" 249.

WR 6'6"215 Marlin Klein. There is no way in hell Michigan will play him at wide out so expect him to play TE. An unusual prospect. He has been in the states for about a year and is originally from Germany. As to be expected he is rather raw. But he also a bit of a freak athlete. On film he runs like a gazelle and some reports have him at a 4.44 40 yard dash. Unlike the German WR the Vikings drafted a while back Klein will have more time to develop his game so expect some good things down the road.

Following up on Frew.......I know he got dinged up a bit. I was listening to a game a while back and he wasn’t getting any carries.....Didn’t miss too much....I believe there are just a couple games left.....Needs to crush.....He still has next year, but whites can’t have ok numbers......They must stand out big time......Two 200 yard games is nothing to sneeze at.

The kid can handle running 300+ yds but the coaches don’t let him even though that many yards could get him more attention... nope.

FREW got his first offer— UPENN- Ivy League of course .. battlefield for smart white kids who are good enough for power 5 but looked over in favor of kids with half the talent, 2.1 GPAs etc.. smh. Yeah he was injured for 2/2.5 games. Bolles doesn’t let him run it all game. Once he gets their much needed 3 TDs , they put in the back ups. It’s insane. The kid can handle running 300+ yds but the coaches don’t let him even though that many yards could get him more attention... nope.

Ewers commits to Ohio St after de-committing from Texas. All of the sudden it seems that Day is going to have a logjam of white QBs. Hopefully he doesn't pull some BS and then recruit a black QB to leap frog them.

Yea for sure. I know @Shadowlight is a bit more optimistic on Day as a head coach than most of us. If Day actually shows he is an advocate of the white QB I will root for OSU while a white QB is at the helm. He has done a decent job at recruiting whites at the caste positions in the next few classes as well as getting some more white defensive players as well.
