Thanks Leonardfan.
Beau Bisharat offered by Stanford
Don, I wanted to comment on the JB Cash article. Do I have to create a separate username for commenting on articles? I was unable to leave a comment using my leonardfan username.
I took portions of this excellent thread, particularly Dolphin15's research, and turned it into an article on the CF homepage.
J.B. Cash's recent new material is on the homepage now also. Unfortunately all of the new articles have zero comments. I know it's repetitive, but for those coming across the site, it would make more of an impression if there were comments after the homepage articles, esp. now that Google and some other search engines no longer show the third world drug ads that plagued the site for so long.
Thank you so much for your research. That's what CF needs; anyone who reads it has to see the plain truth unless they are brain dead.
"Obviously, academically, Stanford is one of the best in the country," Bisharat said. "They want me to play running back. I love Coach (David) Shaw. It's just a perfect fit for me. The guys that go there come from the same kind of family as me too."Oregon was viewed as having an inside track because Bisharat's father, Charlie, was a running back for the Ducks in in the late 70's-early 80's, rushing for a career-high 313 yards and one touchdown in his final season in Eugene.
But the coaching staff made it clear early that the 6-foot-3, 205-pound prospect was a better fit at linebacker in Oregon's system, which became a deciding factor for Bisharat.
"That was pretty much the only reason, the biggest choice that swayed me away from there," he explained. "I've always played offense in high school. I haven't really played a whole lot of defense. I guess a lot of people switch, but I'm more comfortable playing offense and I think I'm better on offense. They were up there all the way, too, the whole way."
Beau Bisharat committed to stanford to play running back. He had offers from the likes of Oregon, Alabama, etc but they wanted him at LB
