In another twist of fate San Jose State has recruited another white rb besides talented Brandon Monroe. His name is Ryan Severson. He is a 5'11" 200 pound rb from California with alleged 4.4 speed which was listed by espn.com and most of their prospects are rarely timed under 4.6 even the elite ones. Why would San Jose State recruit 2 white rbs in the same year? Miami of Ohio did it last year but it is extremely rare. Good to see another of our guys get a chance.

I'm not sure if running back Brendan Douglas has been mentioned in this thread, but if he has been, I'm confident that links weren't provided:

Brendan Douglas has oraled to Georgia Tech. Rivlas has moved him from an athlete to a Fullback but he might have legitamate 4.4 speed. He doesent look that fast because he is kind of bulky at 215 to 220 pounds. His high school coach was remarked saying that Georgia Tech wants to use him on offense and not redshirt him and that he WILL play next year. Good news here.

Probably mentioned already, but Cole Mckeel is an RB from Flower Mound, Texas, with interest from TCU, UTEP, Iowa, Iowa State, and Michigan State. He runs a 4.4 at 6'1" 205, but still appears to not have any official offers, only interest. Earlier this month, he gave his opinion of the caste system...

Kudos for him to telling it like it is. Hopefully more white athletes will use social media and the internet to get the word out on the rascism that exists.

McKeel will end up at Rice or Texas State. I hope I am right.
In other recruiting news wr Tanner Gentry has committed to BYU giving them 3 wr's for this class and a talented speedy Free Safety, Cole Thomas is going to Rice.

Blake Rowlinson a wr who had committed to Troy but now is apparently headed to Yale for the education. We need more whites to want to play professional sports and stop trying to see education as a way out of the suburbs.

Drew Morgan the super all around athlete has rescinded his Arkansas State committment and plans on heading to Arkansas. There is some talk they want him to play corner and not wr. Time will tell.

Another wr getting some attention from D1 schools is Chris Brickhouse out of Raleigh, North Carolina. He is 6'5" and about 210 lbs. and might move to TE but he does have offers from Air Force and Army so far. His highlights are underwhelming.

Speedy wr prospect Tommy Fuesell has apparently rescinded his offer from Northern Illinois and now is going to Northwestern with fellow speedster Macan Wilson. Northwestern added 2 wr's and a very athletic hb last year so this should be a fun team to watch again down he road.

Thomas Spurbeck out of Carmichael, California a wr/athlete prospect appears to be headed to Colorado State. He has 4.5 speed and also has high jumped 6'4" which is awesome for someone who is only 5'11". He played qb in high school but it looks like wr is going to be his meal ticket

Tommy's stats:

6'3", 180 lbs
4.46/40
37" Vertical
4.18 Shuttle

And only a 2-star recruit? Was only offered by NU and NIU? A player with these attributes wasn't offered by any other program? If he were black, everything else the same, he'd be a 4-star recruit with dozens of offers by D1 programs.

BYU wr recruit Hayden Weichers has changed his mind and is now heading for Utah State. Another wr I had never heard of before , Jack Killian is going to UNLV out of the JC ranks. He is 6'0" and about 180 lbs. . He has pretty good deep speed but his video is limited.

On the corner back front. Luke Worden a 5'10" corner prospect from Scottsbluff , Nebraska is close to getting an offer from Nebraska U. He has 10.75 100 meter speed and his highlights are pretty good. I would assume with Nebraska's track record they will ask him to walk on ( though they are supposed to offer )which is why he will probably wind up at South Dakota, his other college choice.
Corner back, John Schilecci from Texas has an offer from Washington State but now his coach is moving him to safety this year because a number of D 1 schools said they might offer him if he changes position. Utter BS as usual. I have seen the kids highlights. He is a great corner on a mostly black team that plays big time Texas football. He has been timed at 4.4 and has very good ball skills. Just more whitey self hatred.
Luke Worden IS going to South Dakota. Lets hope he turns into another Cole Brodie.

DWID's wife is a 5'2" wide receiver from New Orleans. She is 320 lbs. and runs a 7.4 forty. She has offers from some smaller schools to be the new Georgia U. mascot or the new Syracuse Orange mascot but only if she agrees to tan.

For the record, she is 5'11 140 pounds (when we did the first 6 week checkup on our son, not exactly keeping track of her weight, looks the same as 4 years ago now) and she ran something like a 12 second 100 meter dash, not sure if thats fast for a woman, she said she hated track, but pretty sure it would be faster than 7.4 in the 40.

and also sure our son will probably have at least FBS size being that the men her family tend to be over 6'3 and on my side we average 6 foot with most of the younger men being around 6'1 and 6'2, so look out for him class of 2027

Wr Jake Roh has committed to Boise State but there is some speculation he will wind up at outside lb.
well if he does play olb, hopefully he can maintain the same speed while bulking up. The NFL needs more athletic outside linebackers that can at least slow down some of these tight ends that have been coming out. Seems like he would make a better switch to safety.

Another glaring example of the Caste system in action:

Connor Strahm, one of the two Oregon Class 6A (largest classification) "Players of the Year" for 2012 has no D1 offers, not even by the Ducks or the Beavers. If he were black, he'd have signed with USC by now. I like what his coach says, though:

Prep football: Sheldon's Connor Strahm excels at multiple positions

Jim Beseda, The Oregonian, December 06, 2012 10 a.m.

An Arizona State assistant coach visited Eugene last week and stopped by Sheldon High School to check in with Irish coach Lane Johnson.

The recruiter was more interested in next year's senior class than he was in any of Sheldon's current seniors.

"I told him, 'Well, if Connor Strahm isn't a scholarship player, then we don't have anybody else that would interest you,'" Johnson said. "I didn't want to waste his time."

Johnson finds it baffling that most Pacific-12 Conference schools have shown mostly lukewarm interest in Strahm, the versatile 6-foot-2, 225-pound senior wide receiver/linebacker.

"None of the big schools have come after him," Johnson said. "I think that they might. I think they're stupid if they don't.

"But like I told him, he really doesn't have any control over that. All he can do is go out and play and if that's not good enough for the Pac-12 schools, then they don't deserve him."

The college recruiters get one last live look at Strahm in a Sheldon uniform Saturday when the No. 2 Irish (13-0) face the top-ranked and defending-champion Lake Oswego Lakers (13-0) in the 1 p.m. OSAA Class 6A state championship game at Jeld-Wen Field.

Strahm is excited that Sheldon gets another shot at the Lakers, who have clashed with the Irish in the playoffs eight times in the past 10 season, including last season's championship game, which Lake Oswego won 47-14.

"I think about that game probably every day," Strahm said. "Just the disappointment that I had in myself and ... the whole team was disappointed. Nobody played as good as they could have, but I think we learned from it.

"It's nice to make it this far, but we didn't come all this way to lose."

Don't look for Strahm, who wears No. 10, to line up in the same position on too many consecutive plays on either side of the ball, because the Irish move him around.

Offensively, Strahm typically lines up as a receiver, wide or in the slot and to either side, and he'll occasionally line up in the backfield as either a running back or as the quarterback in Sheldon's version of the 'wildcat' formation.

Defensively, he usually plays free safety, strong safety, inside linebacker or outside linebacker, depending on down, distance and what the situation calls for.

In last week's 35-28 semifinal victory over Jesuit, Strahm had a team-high 43 yards rushing, plus 72 yards receiving and a touchdown. He also had three tackles and a forced fumble.

The only time he came off the field against Jesuit was on kickoffs, kickoff returns, and punts.

"I would rate that as a typical Sheldon performance, just because we found a way to win and pull it out at the end," Strahm said of the semifinal win. "I thought our offense played well against a really good Jesuit team, and our defense came up big when we needed it to."

Strahm is intent on playing college football. He said he has received interest letters from most of the Pac-12 schools, but the only scholarship offers have been from three Big Sky Conference schools -- Montana, North Dakota and Portland State.

"I'll make my choice between those three if those are the only options," said Strahm, adding that there isn't a front-runner among the three schools that have made offers. "I've let all three of them know that I'm not going to make any decisions or anything until after the year, so right now they're all three even."

Strahm said none of the three have indicated whether they plan to play him on offense or defense.

"I think I could help on either side once someone makes a decision," Strahm said. "At this point, I've had to learn multiple positions in high school and I haven't really mastered one. Once a college decides what side they want me on, I can go from there.

"I really don't have a preference. Playing offense is fun, especially in our scheme where you get the ball in open field. But then there's no better feeling than knocking somebody backwards or picking a ball off playing defense."

Signing day is Feb. 6, which means Strahm has a little less than two months to decide on a school, and other schools have almost as much time to jump into conversation, if they so choose.

"Just because Connor is a really good high school player doesn't necessarily mean he projects out to be a great college player," Johnson said. "I just think there are some big schools that are missing the boat on him.

Summer SPARQ Champ LB Mike Mitchell (Plano TX) chose Ohio State over Texas A&M/Oregon at todays U.S. Army All-Star game...

Mentioned on Post #16, #55 & #110 SPARQ Rating....

Big Time Athlete...would have enjoyed seeing him play RB like Brandon Jacobs!

If this doesn't demonstrate a bias, nothing will.

Drew Wolitarsky, California’s all-time leading high school receiver, announced his commitment to the Gophers on Sunday at the West Coast Bowl, a showcase for Division I recruits. Wolitarsky, a 6-3, 205-pound senior from Canyon Country, Calif., actually committed to the Gophers the second week of December, but this ended any suspense. Wolitarsky said he made official visits to Minnesota and San Jose State, and according to Rivals.com, he also had scholarship offers from Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada and San Jose State, among others.

(California's all time leading receiver and no big schools went after him. Then this gem from BSPN)

ESPN writes in his scouting evaluation, "Wolitarsky is a possession player with redeeming qualities... Possesses good size and strength as an outside receiver, but lacks top end speed and may be a candidate to move down into an H position with added bulk... Super productive young high school receiver who has the tools to be productive in the right system at the next level."

Nice find Bearclaw. To make some updates out of a jumble of this forum:

1: Former BYU corner Kori Gaines and brother of Penn State bound corner Kasey Gaines is going to UNLV.

2: Tanner Shipley a tall fast wr from Oregon has decommitted from BYU and is now going to Boise State with wr committ Jake Row.

3: Ryan Severson a rb signee with San Jose State has decommited and is unfortunately going to Colorado and though they don't know where they want him yet he is already assured of becoming a safety even with his multiple 4.4 timings in the 40. It is not written in stone but Colorado has not played a whte rb since 1985.

4: One person I could not find on this forum is a diminuitive wr named Jordan Bergstrom. He is headed to New Mexico State. He is listed at having 4.3 to 4.4 speed from multiple recruiting sites.

5: Dan Montersoso the speedy wr from Ohio with the 41 inch vertical jump is going to Purdue to play football and basketball. He has decommited from Boston College. It will be interesting to see how hee fits in with Danny Anthrop, BJ Knauf and Cameron Posey ( the latter 2 having redshirted ) ?
If the esteemed veterans on this board would be so kind as to let me handle February 7ths signing day I would be proud to list every school and how many signees go to each.

I personally think it would be a great idea to list each school's recruiting class. I personally have been creating a list of SEC teams and their recruits in this class, in comparison to their starters in the 2012 season.

I encourage you to do a list, it's just a little unnerving when you come across schools like Auburn where there won't be a single person to put. :/

Looks like Drake is going to follow in the footsteps of his brother Taylor and accept a scholarship offer from Nebraska.

It is to bad he wants to play safety. He is a very good runner like his brother. Why not corner?
In other news : rb/lb/s Time Mcvey from Cleavland , Ohio is no longer going to Buffalo to play safety but looks to be going to Air Force as a corner from what I have read. It will be nice to see another Caucasain corner out there but this guy would make a great safety/rb.
