Many people here said that declined christophe, now you see it was wrong, now you say to us that he cannot run 9,85, I think of the opposite!
Christophe has ran exactly the same race that the last year, he made the same start, but the last year christophe considered that it was a good start but this year he considers that it is a very bad start, the difference of christophe's appreciation is due in very good start which he makes during the training, his start in the training are better that those during the competition!
Christophe is worth 5.65 during the first one 50M and can run 4.23 on the second 50M!
Christophe has simply to run during the competition as he runs during the training !
Christophe can run this year in 9.88 (basic time) and thus christophe can run within 9.85 this year!
Christophe will run on June 16-17th for french championships

Well if he got the same juice that Bolt got from 21y.o to 22y.o then to improve is a lot easier that most people here can think.
Give him a Angel Hernadez(aka Angel"Memo"Heredia) like Bolt and .....voila !!!!
Wow, even thought this video is taken from way up in the stands, it really give us some perspective on just how poor Christophe's start and drive phase are.
It's even more amazing that he was able to come back on the field for 3rd place.
It's really a shame that the first part of his race is so weak.

Hardly Lemaitre will get sub 9.9 this year, sorry is my opinion.

Bolt's technique in his 100m&200m is simply superb . I would be the last person to not acknowledge his talent. The problem is his non linear progression and other things apparent in his physique that tell me otherwise
No point to state that Angel Hernadez was first spotted in Jamaica in 2007 exactly the year that this non-linear progression miraculously appeared in Bolt's performance ....and not only his in this particular island

Last year, Christophe had the capacity to run faster, for example in Montreuil he has ran 10.01 (corrected time) but with a very bad track and a temperature of 14°c!
In 2011 Christophe could run between 9.95 and 9.97! (Corrected time)
This year in Rome, Christophe lost 0,10s because of his bad start !
This year Christophe can run the 1st 50M in 5.65s but in Rome he has ran between 5.75 and 5.77!
In 2012 for me christophe can run 9.88 (corrected time)
1st 50M: 5.65
2nd 50M: 4.23
5.65 + 4.23 = 9.88

He wont be better than Christophe. Christophe has much more natural speed - like Bolt. He just needs to work on that terrible start. Gemili will be good but he doesn't have that 'gazelle' like movement at top speed like you see with guys like Christophe, Asafa Powell and Usain.

Izwal,the best race of Lemaitre is 10.06 -1.2 in semifinals Barcelona 2012.
It is 9.99 basic time, his only sub10 basic time by now.
I hope that although this year he does not break his record in 100m, perhaps he can break his basic time and add another sub10 basic time :icon_smile:

Christophe has the potential to run 9.7...only if he works on his terrible start and gets stronger, which he can with the right training.

Sub 9.9 with big wind, around 2.0 m/s is possible although this year i have a lot of doubts.
Im sincere and realistic, if he get this year by example 9.95 basic time,i would be very happy, because he only got 1 sub10 basic time until now 9.99 in semifinals barcelona, all his times are 10.00 or more basic time.
And yes, his first 30m usually are horrible, but hardly he will can improve them so much...
I see him with future in 200m, 19.6-19.7 is near for him in these years

His final is very good around 3.43-3.44 usually(3.42 in his 9.92 +2.0 wind), but hardly he will can to improve so much that part.
His first 30m are very slow,training hard perhaps he can to improve there 0.03-0.05, but not much more, perhaps if he get 5kgs more muscles(in my opinion for his height it is not much)he could to improve another 0.05 perhaps, but the transition is very slow, perhaps somebody here want that Lemaitre progress very fast, but i think that he will improve few to few, and this year i dont think that he can to break his 9.92 although i think that he could break his record 9.99 basic time.

A white person is like Craig Pickering, Christophe Lemaitre, Borzov, Kenteris, Shivington, etc...
Caucasian is not a word I use ever. I am from the UK, not America. In the UK, we use the term "white" to describe white people and "black" to describe black people, etc... I will support Adam, no problems, but I can not call him white.
The good thing is that it is great Adam Gemili is he running fast, but he is not white. He is of Moroccan Iranian descent.
