Some interesting facts about Christianity and its relation to anti-sodomy laws:

There are different definitions of sodomy - a Biblical one and a secular one.

The Biblical, Christian definition of sodomy comes from Leviticus 18:22-23 and defines two acts as the sin of sodomy - a man having sexual relations with another man, and a human being of either gender having sexual relations with an animal.

Most people, when asked to define sodomy, especially in regard to anti-sodomy laws, say that it is any kind of sexual relations other than traditional vaginal intercourse. This is a secular definition of sodomy and not the same as the Christian definition of sodomy laid out in the Bible.

The original anti-sodomy laws, dating from medieval times in England, becoming English Common Law, and later descended into American Common Law, were based on the Biblical definition of it and specifically forbade those two acts - same-sex sexual relations and sexual relations between a human and an animal. "Anti-sodomy" laws banning things like oral sex were added later, when the law was changed to a secular definition of what "sodomy" was.

Why was the law changed this way? Who changed it?

It was leftists who changed these laws.

Leftists knew that they could never gain popular support for overturning anti-sodomy laws based on the Biblical definition, because the vast majority of the people were rightly disgusted by those two acts (same-sex relations and sex with animals). So they deliberately and nefariously changed the law to a much broader definition, one that could infringe on the sexual activities of married heterosexual couples, to gain the support of normal heterosexual people in getting the law repealed - a law that the leftists created in the first place.

Anti-Christians, mostly on the political Left, but some on the Right as well, have used the myth of "Christianity be bad because it be restricting da rights of what husbands and wives can do in da bedroom" to bash and scapegoat Christians as "sexual fascists" or "wanting a policeman in the bedroom with you and your wife." These are blatantly false, vicious, and libelous accusations. The anti-sodomy laws that libertarians and moderates get outraged over were based on a definition of sodomy that was purely secular. Not only that, but it was the cucks' beloved leftists who created those laws in the first place!

I have a certain level of sympathy for libertarianism myself, but I just wanted to make this issue clear, as I've seen so many right-leaning libertarians who have a lot of intelligence on other issues fall flat on their faces on this one because of an ignorant or misguided belief in this anti-Christian myth.

Jesus Loves all people as we should. Although it's difficult for us to do so. We can when we focus on Jesus and what he did for ALL of humanity. This Friday commemorates what Christ did for the forgiveness of our sin. He died for us that we would be spared the punishment for our sin.

But thankfully that wasn't the end. On the third day Christ rose from the tomb. and saying, "It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon. Luke 24:34.
NO other religion makes this claim. Only the Christian faith.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO man comes to the father, but by me. John 14:6. You're going to Heaven through the shed blood and then the resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ or you're not going at all. The Bible says those who've not confessed and trusted in Jesus Christ will spend an eternity separated from God in a place called Hell. "In Hell where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. Luke 16:23. If you don't know Christ as your Lord and Savior, I would advise picking up a Bible and asking him to save you. He will if you confess your sin and put your trust in him.

For those of us who are Christians, I'm sure we've all had to hear something like this at some point.

If someone tries to use something like this on you, ask if they are a Christian. If they say they are not, point out that as a non-Christian they are ignorant about what Christianity is, and have no standing to define it.

And if they say they are a Christian, tell them that according to their own beliefs they are required to love their enemies, so they need to start loving you and stop attacking you.
