Hall of Famer
Last night, Christian McCaffrey became the first white RB selected in the 1st round of the NFL Draft since Tommy Vardell in 1992.
It seems like Head Coach, Ron Rivera, and GM Dave Gettleman are very impressed with him. In an interview after Christian was drafted, the two offered some of the highest praise I've ever seen for a white athlete, let alone a RB. They compared him to Reggie Bush, Darren Sproles, Curtis Martin, and LeSean McCoy. Gettleman even stated that McCaffrey is the best tackle-box runner he's ever seen...
"What I think is very unique about Christian is – the best tackle-box runner I’ve ever seen is Curtis Martin when he came out of Pitt. Christian is right there with him. Running in that tackle box takes unique vision and unique foot quickness and he’s got it. Curtis Martin had it. He had a great career, a Hall of Fame career. This kid has that kind of skill."

The Panthers are a decent running team and don't have much in the way of a slot receiver or pass-catching RB. They also have little in the kick/punt return department. The black starter, Jonathan Stewart, is now 30 years old and has missed numerous games in 6 out of his 9 NFL seasons due to a litany of injuries. In that time, he's had only one 1,000-yard season and that was in 2009.
Once again, congratulations to Christian on defeating an entrenched Caste System that has ruined the career's of hundreds (thousands if you count high school players) of white RB's over the past 30+ years. His talent was so immense that even their rigidly anti-white propaganda machine couldn't deny him what was rightfully his. May he succeed in every conceivable way...
