Martinez just got a 43 yard rushing TD! 23-0 'Huskers at the half.

I'm hoping BYU can beat the "Rebels."
He still runs it too much and hogs the ball. I know he can break it at any time, but he needs to start getting it to Burkhead more out of the option and the coaches need to use Burkhead out of the "I" more. He isn't going to last half of the season in the Big Ten if he keeps taking some of the punishment at the end of those runs. The three true frosh running backs are all taking reps away from Burkhead, too. Burkhead looked great on that long run he had earlier, quick as always, but looked faster too, more explosive and reading his blocks better than before as well.

If hes playing the option then its not his choice on whether he keeps it, I mean he can hand it off but its not the right read the guy will get stuffed. I know he had a problem with making the wrong reads last year though. If he breaks enough long runs then he will have to hand off. Unfortunately I can't see the game because its not on here. I wouldn't worry about freshman taking snaps away from Burkhead, they usually get more snaps in these cupcake games.

Apparently, "white boys" did travel to Oxford (thus far)...

where are the White receivers for BYU? I haven't seen McKay Jacboson. Damn Jake really needs to loosen up. Hes rushing things even when there is no pressure. This team is 10x better than Ole Miss this should be easy.
I was going to mention the same thing about Heaps. He looks off today. They should be up about 14-0 about now.

Has Heaps completed a pass yet. I feel sorry for BYU's defense they've done a great job so far.

Zac Stoudt now in as QB for Miss. He should've been the starter. Far more effective.

I bet they don't stick with Stoudt. I just heard Iowa's Runningbakc Mika'il McClain is out for the rest of the seas'on.

Pick 6..

Jake Heaps is not "bonafide" yet. Even a guy like Matt Barkley, of USC, isn't completely bonafide.

Horrible week 1. I'm shutting my TV off and going out, and if this keeps up I'm boycotting college football.

BYU is beating themselves. There's still enough time.

I don't know now after they just miss that chip-shot FG attempt. Sheesh.

They are playing like they don't think they are as good as the other team. I saw this with an FCS program I used to help out. They didn't think they were good enough to do anything when they had to play a (lower level) FBS team and did stupid crap like that, like missing easy field goals. Then minor penalties just got them more discouraged. They would've won the game if it weren't for a few nervous plays.

The thing is that BYU has played in this kind of environment, Oklahoma comes to mind. I thought they were going to show them "white boys" can play? Im so sick of hearing that the SEC is the best conference. BYU has the talent and should be up with a comfortable lead right now but they aren't playing like it. At least Jake Heaps isn't playing like it. JJ DiLuigi is making some plays. Heaps is just dinking and dunking and his players are doing the work. Hes gotta drive it in when in the redzone. EDIT: as I said that he Heaps threw a beautiful touchdown!

Even ex-Caste Coach and current Caste announcer Bob Davies has twice said BYU is beating themselves. Now BYU down 13-7.

Haha, BYU now up 14-13 with sack of Stoudt, causing fumble, recovered in end zone.

Byu recovers a fumble and scores a td. They are now winning 14-13! I love it! They are really playing physical too on both sides of the ball. Go Cougars!
