NYTimes articles don't usually stay 'free' for long, but it's up right now.
This is an article about Google's policies on censorship, with a particular focus on Youtube videos (although also web searches) and how some disgruntled sand-surfer on the other side of the world can tug at the heartstrings of a politically correct Google censorship overlord in California, resulting in banned content for the entire planet. Google claims their policy is very simple: Hate speech - No! Political speech - Yes!
As we all know, this is the opposite of the truth. Hate speech infuses nearly all forms of American-made media. What they really meant to say was: Hate speech against coloured peoples - No! (but against evil whitey - Yes! because that doesn't qualify as hate speech)

This Google stuff is crazy. I ran a Google search for 'will of God' tonight for some research I'm doing, and the very first site listed was a website promoting 'fisting' as the Will of God, complete with Scripture references to the Hand of God and so forth.

I don't see how a site about white running backs can be considered hate speech, but a site about shoving your fist up someone's ass isn't.

Althoughit can't be totally contributed to the google censorship, CF has just 10 new posters so far this month compared to 22 during the first 27 days of October. Not good news!

The rate of new registered posters has been slower this year than in the past couple of years. October was a bit of an aberration. Caste Football is never going to be like the sports boards that have 100,000 users writing one-sentence posts at a frenetic pace.We're more of a specialized, thinking man's site.


The New York Times article linked by Riddlewire above states that 68% of Internet searches are done through Google. Traffic dropped a bit in November but it's nothing that can't be overcome. We'll keep getting better known over time, with or without the anti-First Amendment totalitarians at Google. Those that support Caste Football should take as much time as they can to promote the site to friends and on other boards and on sites like YouTube.


And as I've mentioned before, be as active as you can here, especially you lurkers who agree with us, and former posters who have become lurkers. You don't have to post something brilliant, just keep the conversation going.


With moves like this Google is only hurting itself in the long run. We may be one of the first sites censored but you can bet we won't be the last. Screw Google. Ourselves alone!

Maybe if you sold out ie. the easy way out and let Google "do your ads and toss you a check over $100" like so many smaller sites do, it adds up, they'd let the "hate speech" out.

It's a sad day in America when the major search engines are doing this to us for no reason. We support white athletes. No big deal. Many sites support black athetes. Nothing wrong with that either. I just tried a Yahoo search and now they have joined Google in the banning. Unless you specifically type in castefootball, you will now find us here. How depressing.


I do however agree with Don that the fight is far from over. We have to continue to get the word out however we can. Myspace and youtube are a great start as for as long as it lasts. A good thing to do on youtube is to comment about this website on some of the videos of our favorite athletes. We deserve equality. Let's keep it clean and hope for the best guys. We are making some progress and it scares some people. What a joke. We just can't have too many whites becoming stars in sports because it might give the kids more positive vibes. We need role models for kids and adults alike in sports. It is very important to self esteem for the european culture. Keep up the fight guys.

This makes absolutely no sense, especially considering sites like Stormfront, Pan-Aryan, VNN, Skadi, Amren and even Don's ANU show up at or near the top when you type them. What is so dangerous about a white sports site, when there are other pro-white sites that make open threats against government officials, and generally reek of genuine "hate" against non-whites (especially unnamed sites that focus solely on hating blacks, and nothing else)? This site is very tame compared to the other sites out there that have been dubbed "hate sites" by the MSM. You'd think it would get more of a pass since it is covering a recreational subject - sports.

Or maybe there is some East Indian at Google that takes offense to the use of the word "caste" in a negative way. Even then, the reasoning is lame. Caste is an English word, not Indian. What's bizarre and which I mentioned much earlier in this thread, is that ever since this happened there has been one Google searchbot on the site every time I check. Usually it's been on site for hundreds of minutes, but I just looked now and it's been here for only 8 minutes. Before, there would usuallybe several Google searchbots here, sometimes 10 or more, other times none.But evenwith the one searchbot hereCF shouldstart showing up again in Google. I wish I knew more about how Google and search engines workas it's possible that this is a temporary glitch of some kind.

I have seen as many as 4 googlebots on in the past hour, but I don't know if that does us much good. Gentlemen, use google to search for "to Caste Football." I have commented on Caste Football's sandboxing and included some links and keywords that might lead some people here. I don't know if it will work, but that post of mine is the second link on the results page. I suggest you do the same if you have a google account. You can probably do the same with yahoo.

I would pursue legal remedies, if a member or lurker who supports CFwants to finance it. It might not necessarily take a lawsuit, only a legal representative contacting Google in an official capacity and seeing what their response is and taking it from there.

Well, Youtube is a Google property and they absolutely censor that content in the U.S. Hell they even censor political speech on Youtube (but only right-wing political speech).

When it comes to searches, Yahoo search is the only one that gives full results for CF. That's pretty surprising to me, since Rivals is a Yahoo property and we're pretty harsh on Rivals here. Microsoft's LIVE search engine doesn't seem to censor anything, but they have a pretty long delay in updating their page links. Something I posted a month ago won't necessarily show up in the results at LIVE, but it will at Yahoo.

Now we're back to having multiple Googlebots on site most of the time, as was the norm before the censoring began. But Google must have some blocking mechanism in place that stops the information being collected by its searchbots here from going to its search engine.

In other words, search "site:castefootball.us", without the quotes, in google and it will give about 2,000 pages indexed. No pages were indexed a while back when I first checked. It looks like Caste Football is back in google!

Search for white running backs on Google and you still get nothing for CF. No threads, no articles, nothing. The first site listed is Stormfront.

People have to know the site exists to run a search for 'caste football' or 'site.castefootball' etc. The problem is we're not going to come up in any searches for white running backs, white athletes, etc, which is where people new to Caste Football are most like to find it. It's definitely fixed to a certain degree. Searching "Cory McCaffrey" gives CF as the number one result, just like it used to.
That's why it's so important that we continue making topics for and discussing high school and college football players. That's how I found the site. I wasn't looking for "white running backs". I did a Google search for Derek Lawson, wondering about his scholarship status. Someone had mentioned him here on CF, so the site showed up in the search results. A new world was opened up to me. You have to figure that there are tens of thousands of high school football fans across the country who are curious about other such players they've seen or read about, so they just Google their names. If we've done our work and identified these players early enough, then those search results will lead people here. And those people who find their way here due to just such a search are likely to be ideologically aligned with us.
