The D.C. media is walking on eggshells, trying to point out as politely as possible that Jason Campbell is simply not the answer at QB. Sonny Jurgensen said that "there has to be better play from the quarterback." Without fail, whenever any jock sniffer, local or national, mentions Campbell, they chime in with "he's had like 8 different offensive systems since college." This is an excuse that is never used to explain say, Alex Smith's woes. And it is stated so frequently, almost word for word, that the most paranoid among us may be forgiven for thinking that a press release was sent out from somewhere, instructing all jock sniffers to utilize this line when talking about Campbell.
The Redskins are a truly horrendous team. Jim Zorn appears completely clueless, and is yet another white player I loved who turned out to be a pious devotee of the Caste system. Also, it is getting really hard to watch these fat black clowns on either side of the line in every NFL game. How can anyone fail to note how fat and out of shape these alleged "athletes" are? Training camp just ended; aren't they supposed to be in tip top condition after all those "workouts?" Looking at the rolls of jiggling fat on these players, I now doubt that they make them do anything at all in practice, unless they train them by having hot dog eating contests. It is a travesty that Jon Jansen has been benched for yet another undistinguished fat black sumo.
The Redskins receiving corps has to be among the worst of all the bad ones in the NFL. Moss is not a real #1 WR, and the fact that Antwan Randle El is a starting WR, and the woeful James Thrash a #3 WR, while the likes of Mike Hass and John Standeford check out the unemployment ads, is an embarrassment that should outrage reasonable men everywhere. Zorn appears not to realize that Cooley is his best receiver; he was totally ignored during preseason and only had a single catch last night. I guess this new "guru" is going to build his offense around the better affletes, like Randle El and Thrash. Vinny Cerrato continues his Charley Casserly-like record of drafting futility, as all three of the receivers he picked in the 2nd round this year remain nonentities on a roster that has a crying need for receivers.
Just as I wrote these words, that buffoon Mike Golic managed to fit in yet another reference to "all those systems" that Jason Campbell has been in. Wow.
