I'm surprised that there was not already a thread on this. Cain Velasquez lost to Werdum at UFC 188 in Mexico (where he of course pandered to the Mexican crowd). He was dominated badly for the last two rounds before late in round 3 when Werdum quickly sunk in a guillotine choke after an ill-advised takedown attempt.

Cain Velasquez has only fought 3 different opponents in the last 4 years and has lost to two of them. Cain received a great deal of credit for finishing a Lesnar that had already been dominated by Shane Carwin, and for defeating JDS twice with the same strategy of spamming like in a video game takedown attempt after takedown attempt, he did have JDS's number but was not facing a variety of opponents and is therefore massively overrated.

The fraud that is "Brown turd" Velasquez showed a sloppy mix of 3rd tier "skills" that belie his former championship rank.

Indeed, I have watched many lower echelon fighters throughout the years connected to Bellator, Legacy, RFA and other organizations that have displayed a much better mix of martial arts than brown turd.

Thank God, this bum was taken-out via a basic guillotine choke that most yellow-belts could have avoided.

Werdum is a very tough fighter with long limbs, a great chin, and fantastic submission skills. Given that all of his fights tend to conclude with a decision or a submission, his fights usually aren’t very exciting. Both he and Cain are non-white, but Velasquez is openly anti-white, as evidenced by his famous chest tattoo…

It would be great to see Stipe Miocic get a shot at the belt.

The turd Cain is a decent fighter but always looks out of shape to me. I know, as evidenced by Fedor, looks don't mean everything, but he undoubtedly wouldn't have had held the title for this long if he actually had to fight multiple challengers. White knew he had JDS's number and probably was a PR move to keep him there for a while to try and garner more Hispanic viewers. I don't think the UFC will ever let there be more than 3 or 4 white champs. Every single weight class could be held by whites, but it's easy to control when you get to pick and choose the fighters.

Exactly what I wanted to write, but could not have put so succinctly. Your spot on about White holding all the cards so to speak with regard to keeping a brown "champion" in order to get a few pesos more.

I don't know if any of you watch the UFC embedded videos on youtube, but they are essentially a behind the scenes look on the fighters daily routines up until the day of the fight.

It was quite hilarious this time, because nearly every episode Werdum criticized Velasquez for his brown pride calling him a "fake Mexican" and "an American who thinks he's a Mexican" among other things.

That's exactly what I have maintained for a while - and I swear up and down someone I know who was involved with "the media" (that's all I will say) told me flat out that the UFC was told they weren't going to get any network deals unless they had more non-white fighters and champions. Period.

How could the UFC have mostly non-white fighters? One way to do it is selective recruiting. I have no doubt they do this. The heavyweight division has been a joke for years. Cain was so overrated as to be laughable. I don't mind Werdum, but if someone tells me there aren't any White guys out there who would mop the floor with Werdum's face they're out of touch with reality.

It would be good to see Stipe Miocic get a shot - I thought he was robbed against Junior Dos Santos. I've watched the fight several times and the decision was a sham.

I'm not some guy who thinks Whites will win all the time, but after the artificial situation the usual suspects created in boxing for several decades - a situation we've all seen get turned on its head - it's obvious that the UFC has some type of agenda. Right when they began negotiating in earnest with the networks the overall complexion of the organization's fighters rapidly changed.

Conor McGregor has thrown a wrench into some things. Yes, his mouth got him a title shot. But how long would he have languished without creating the character that is now Conor McGregor? Maybe his striking power would have worked against him getting a shot at the top spot for a long time. Maybe this seems over the top, but the way things have been tilted against Whites by their enemies for so long makes this a possibility.
