Su from china just ran 9.99 wind legal at the prefontaine classic in Eugene Oregon. First Asian to break the 10 second barrier in the 100m.
He was stuck in lane one. Would have run under 9.95 if on an inside lane.

Su is only 5-7/143.He has run 6.52s in the 60m as well.

Congrats to Su Bingtan. This could really open up a future flood gate of asian sprinters. I have no problem with that. Sprinting is not just an african thing. We have stated that for years. Can't wait to see a few more whites dip under 10 this summer.

The Yellow Man talents are many. Sprinting is not one of them. I'm surprised they haven't produced female world class sprinters as they respond, as all females do, much better to PED's than men, and there also is less differences between females athletically---racially.
The Japanese usually only produce low 10's in the friendly confines of domestic meets. They now have 50% of their 4 X 100 men's relay made up of half-breed Negro's. The Japs are another race that is limited by their DNA in producing "seriously" fast sprinters. Running 9.99 when it comes, and it will, is not seriously fast these days.
There are White Persians, Hassan Taftian is not one of them.
Only the White race is capable of producing "seriously" fast sprinters who could compete with the West African gene pool.

Has anyone on this board ever been to China? In the past 2 years I have been 5 times and I was blown away at how prevalent sports is with young kids especially the NBA and soccer. That Chinese male hurdler and the male swimmer are like sports icons in their society. Many young boys and young men over 6'2" many women/girls over 5'8" amazing what KFC and McDonald's can do to a society. When I was there in March of this year I was doing a sprint workout at a local middle school and all the kids wanted to race me lol and they would most likely have beaten me
Every night the tracks are full of people of all ages walking and running.I will say that on average they are in better shape than us westerners(non athletes) The only problem I can see as a detriment to young Chinese males is it is considered cool if you smoke and I would estimate 7/10 over the age of 25 smoke. On the other hand not many chinese women smoke say 1/10.

Bingtian Su came 2nd at the Prefontaine Diamond League meet today in Eugene.
His time was a wind-aided 9.92 (2.4w), run from Lane 1.
He beat Justin Gaitlin, Andre DeGrasse, Michael Rodgers, and Adam Gemili (10.03).
A very impressive performance.
I know he's not white, but still it's a caste-breaking performance.

what amazes me is how he keeps his nerve at this level.
He doesn't know it's not in the script for Asian sprinters to excel

Great time for Su, the fastest Asian ever. To me it's great to see the Chinese and Japanese run fast. Im sure they aren't told their race is inferior at sports from the time they are little so that surely helps them on the big stage. Seems like the Chinese are racing more and more in big meets too which is something I always think is important. I look forward to several of our guys, Su and perhaps some of the Japanese guys breaking the 10 second barrier this year!

On a side note. I jut looked up Bingtian Su and he doesn't look like the typical roided out Jamaicans you see in sprinting. He looks like a smaller sprinter who has taken the approach of keeping the body weight down and maximizing his strength. Although much shorter, he has a build more like Guliyev and Lemaitre. I'm no exercise science guru but these different approaches to sprinting have always fascinated me. Surely everyone must have their own "sweet spot" in terms of maximum the amount of muscle while making sure the extra weight doesn't become a hindrance.

There is yet another young Japanese sprinter threatening the 10 second barrier. Shuhei Tada has a wind legal 10.08. I like these guys because they break the caste. Would love to see them put together a relay team to beat the Jamaicans and Americans. Not happy that one of their top guys is part black (Sani Brown).

Funny thing. Japan actually last year also broke the 38 second barrier in the 4x100 relay. I knew China had ( and they did it with a guy with a personal best of 10.30 ) but not Japan until this morning. They had Izuka, Kiryu, Yamagata and to run anchor Sani Brown
. Brown is their fourth fastest guy and they put him in the anchor spot normally reserved for the teams fastest sprinter. Hopefully Tada will replace Brown at the worlds in 50 days. They also have a 10.13 guy in Shota Hara. Tons of depth here. This team with or without Brown could get the silver as for the first time in a long time Jamaica does not have the depth they used to and other than Christian Coleman looks to be the only real speedster for the US. It is nice to see two time drug cheat ( Gatlin ) slowing down as he has only 1 10.1 this year but I do not know how many times he has raced. Look out for South Africa. They could take gold and hopefully with E. Erasmus running either the 2nd or even first leg.

I'm very pro-white and I believe that whites are given an unfair shake. But I am a little bit of an asiaphile so to speak. I appreciate the long civilizations and pride many asians once had and some still have in their people, cultures, ancestral lands. I want them to stay over there lol but anyway I find it funny the caste system powers that be includes them to a large extent. I do admire the self-determination they have, for instance unlike the rodied Dominicans they tend to be cleaner and actually have a national baseball league in Japan worth a crap ORIENTATED TOWARD their OWN nationa and they keep it in Japan. When is the last time you heard them pushing a "global" agenda like the MLB trying to justify their own homegrown talent being screwed over? Do you see a policy importing foreigners into their league at the expense of the natives? NOOO. but "our" MLB does it *shaking my damn head*
