Why did he grab his forehead when he got hit in the chin? Strange. And one of Dirrell's guys (maybe his brother?) almost created a melee in the ring. I imagine Abraham and his buddy Marco Huck would have taken care of themselves if that happened.

It's kind of sadistic, but I was actually elated when Abraham knocked him out. I jumped out of my seat! Then I learned that he was DQ'd. Oh well. It actually doesn't bother me too much. A loss is just a loss. Unblemished records are overrated. I just wish I could have seen the last round and a half. It could have been fun.

I was elated too! I was surprised Dirrell was able to land punches through Abraham's normally almost invincible defense. Also we have to remember that Abraham didn't lose a belt because he came up from middleweight so he didn't have one.

Re: Froch. He knows how to fight these guys. Abraham and Kessler should take pointers. Rough 'em up, punch during the clinch, out-muscle them. The latter shouldn't be too hard. Did you notice how skinny Dirrell's torso is!

He's skinny as f*ck, Abraham should be much stronger in the clinch. And with Abraham's power, he could do some serious damage.

The problem was that Abraham wasn't counter punching like he was in the second Miranda fight. He let the guy throw 5 times as many punches as he did. Froch seems to be better than I thought.
 
Easier said than done. Dirrell's lateral movement allowed him to slip a lot of Abraham's punches, and when Abraham finally caught him on the ropes, he would hold or "slip." Abraham must land hard shots during the clinch, simple as that.
 
Has the ring doctor checked with Girrel to see if he has stopped crying yet?

If Abraham had stepped it up two or three rounds earlier I think he would have had Girrel for sure.

Whatever happened afterward, I know the slip was for real. They happen too much, and always on those damn logos. People have been saying either fix them or get rid of them for years, but evidently they bring in too much money. I can't think of any other sport where the playing surface is compromised just to make a buck.

He "fell" on the canvas probably 10-20 times in the Froch fight.

Speaking of Froch he knows how to adapt to the "afflete" style of hitting, running and holding. All the DWFs picked Pascal, Taylor and Dirrell over him because of their "affletic ability" and he proved them all wrong. Carl likes to run his mouth a bit which is unusual for our fighters who are quiet and respectful. Nothing aggravates a DWF more than a confident white man who talks the talk and walks the walk.

Abraham needed to get going a few rounds earlier. Andre was starting to wilt in the late rounds. I was expecting him to explode on Dirrell in the 10th(I think) when he had him hurt bad but he never did.
 
Oh my God! Denzel Washington would be jealous. That is the biggest piece of sh*te dive I have EVER seen. Typical negro that did not want to get knocked the F out.

From the clip above it looks like the punch after he was down missed him. If not it didn't impact with any power. Abraham screwed up by not boxing better earlier. Anyway Dirrell isn't going to get much credit for a win he got while dazed on his ass.
 
I saw the fight last night. Abraham might very well have KOed Dirrell in the 11th or 12th...but overall, Arthur deserved to lose. He did nothing for 6 rounds, was knocked down by Dirrell while off balance, and looked ackward all night.

Dirrell has great quickness, but like most black fighters, he severly lacks KO power. The way in which he won the fight made him look like a total fool...getting KOed, twitching on the canvas, then weeping / screaming how he actually lost the fight.

The post-fight antics were a weird specticle that only negros could produce.Edited by: Thrashen
 
There is a saying "Tonight was not your night" Just finished watching the replay on YouTube. Dirrell fought the best fight of his career. Abraham let too many rounds go, partially to the ability of Dirrell. Abraham should have pressured more and threw alot more body shots to slow Dirrell down. I had Abraham winning two rounds and one even.

The 4th round knockdown of Auther was an off balance fall. He clearly was not hurt. The 10th knockdown of Andre was clearly a knockdown and not a slip.

It appears Larence Cole who is usually a good ref had bad night, or was on the take! He kept constantly breaking them up too soon. Also he didn't penalize Dirrell for his low blows or his trick of "slipping." Who ever fights Dirrell next should point this out and have him penalized if he does it more than twice.

But it was clear Auther was closing in on Dirrell in the last two rounds. I believe the foul was unintentional. When you view it at normal speed it happened so quick. Auther believing Andre was not down swung and clombered him. I don't think Andre was acting. But it is hard to argue with DQ'ing Auther.

Auther needs to start earlier and go to the body of affelets. This tournament is not over and I still beieve our fighters have a chance to win the whole thing. I am still putting money on Auther and Frock of winning the whole thing.

Last night was not Auther's but he lives to fight another day and better to lose in this fashion rather to "win" in fashion of Andre crying like a little bitch! Man, this affelet is a poster child for "TNB"
 
Abrahmam has a too patient style for me. He gives away too many rounds that he could win if he just put some punches together. Whenever he hit Direll with combos or single shots Direll felt them. I think the referee had his hand tied when Abraham committed the foul. There was nothing he could do but end the fight as Direll was legitimately ko'd. I too thought he was faking it or playing up the foul as he seemed to be wilting over the last few rounds. But his lack of mental focus after the dq made it more obvious that he wasn't faking(to me). To me Luis Santana seemed more of wrestling act (against Terry Norris)than this did. If they ever fight a rematch if Abraham gets started earlier he should ko Direll or beat him on a wide points decision as his power and strength are too much for runner type. Dirrell has great quickness but that's about all. He's afraid to actually fight and stays at a distance because he's a coward and has no KO power. I've seen other fights that Abraham had against fast negroes and Abraham did the same thing early in the fight. The big difference was that the other guy wasn't able to land many punches through Abraham's almost invincible defense. Dirrell was getting quite a few punches in on Abraham.

Legitimately KO'd? Really? Is that what you saw? When someone get's Ko'd they go straight down and not touch their face, look at the ref for a second or two and then put on an act. I think the media got to you already.

Surprisingly Dirrell was more afraid of Carl Froch than Arthur Abraham. That doesn't make sense since Abraham has more power and can take a guy out with one punch. Back to the drawing board for King Arthur. I'm sure he'll be back and better than ever.

I meant the rest of the 11th round and the 12th round, if the DQ hadn't occurred. It would've been interesting to see if Abraham could KO him. We'll never know. He didn't land much in the 11th, but it looked like he was coming on, and he had the 12th to make something happen. It's a shame.

Shame he didn't do that to him when he was standing up so there'd be no controversy.  He well might have, too.  But I won't get on the Dirrell was acting bandwagon.  I'd like to see a rematch.
