Now that's a massive undertaking. First, you can get the game results and photos, etc. from sites such as St. Louis High School Sports, which has extensive photo libraries of all Missouri State Championship games, and most of the elimination rounds as well. MaxPreps is always a good source for info as well. On the Kansas City side, and for some of Kansas, the KC Star's Varsity Zone is an adequate source for information. For more Kansas info, VarsityKansas is also good, you can check out South Kansas' favorite team, Wichita Heights, which is virtually all black (and lost to virtually all-white Olathe South in the finals, see photo below of victorious honkys).

Finally, after all names and such have been gathered, you can go to all of our favorite caste-whore recruiting sites and be dazzled by the losing black athletes while "whitey" is ignored and has to walk-on at great personal expense to even get a look.

Thanks Mr. Foglesworth. People here have the misconception that a 7A school must have 4,000/5,000 students, because our classification only goes to 4A, which is 1,800/2,800 students. 1A being the smallest classification, 300/600 students.

i've been sorely struggling for internet time of late, and consequently this thread has suffered mightily ... sorry about that. but here's a quick update (hopefully to be followed by several more in-depth posts in the not-too-distant future):

for anyone A interested and has the time, there is a prestigious 7-on-7 tournament going on in Northwest Arkansas today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday, July 13-14) hosted by Shiloh Christian High A (Springdale). according to the papers, there are 32 teams from 8 states (and over a dozen Division One signees and a slew of potential signees) playing in the tourney. Chad Beebe (a name familiar at CF and a commitment to Northern Illinois) and Aurora Christian came all the way from Illinois to play, showing just how much of a draw this tourney has, going along with the in-state teams in attendance, of course.

the increasingly prestigious Southwest Elite 7-on-7 tourney wrapped up on Saturday afternoon, with 32 teams from 8 states working to improve their passing attack. not surprisingly to those of us at CF, White athletes shined throughout the competition. i was able to attend the final day and saw a great deal of excellence on display.

the final 4 teams in the double-elimination tournament featured all-White Spingdale Har-Ber, nearly all-White Fayetteville (both from Northwest Arkansas), mostly-White Aurora Christian (Illinois), and all-black except for one player Sherman (Texas). Sherman's lone White player was their quarterback/free safety who was their best player.

Fayetteville won the tournament, defeating Sherman in the championship game (their second win over the Texas team), and going undefeated behind the stellar passing of quarterback and tournament MVP Austin Allen (committed to play for the University of Arkansas) and playmaking safety/wideout Alex Brignoni (committed to play for the University of Arkansas). Fayetteville has several talented White wideouts, but most of the offensive acclaim not given to Allen goes to their lone black receiver (Jordan Dennis) and short, fat, slow running back (Brice Gahagans).

another Arkansas kid that was impressive was Mayflower sophomore quarterback-turned-wideout Adam Dycus. Dycus came into the tourney without much acclaim, but he was a standout, turning in numerous big plays. he is a youngster to watch.

Aurora Christian wide receiver Chad Beebe was simply uncoverable, playing primarily in the slot. unfortunately for the Eagles, they've yet to settle their questions at the quarterback position and they have more questions at cornerback.

tight end Hunter Henry commits

Hunter Henry, a 6-6, 235-pound tight end from Pulaski Academy (Little Rock, AR; class of 2013) committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks last week. regarded as one of the top tight ends in the nation, Henry is a pass-catching playmaker with good speed for a big guy (reports vary from 4.7 to 4.8 in the 40), hauling in 64 receptions for 1,091 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior for the 4A state champion Bruins. he had 45 catches for 748 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore.

more comfortable as a receiver than a blocker, Henry was usually split out wide at PA (ala Dallas Clark for the Indianapolis Colts). he picked up most of his yardage after the catch, as well.

Henry had offers from more than 25 schools, including Stanford, Notre Dame, Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Auburn.

the annual FCA Combine in North Little Rock is considered by many to be "the" place to perform if you're an Arkansas kid and you want to get recruited. this year, as is so often the case, several White kids stood out.

a couple of skill position guys that i want to specifically mention were unheralded "for some reason" coming into the Combine.

despite rushing for 3,001 yards last year (#3 all-time in the state), tailback Logan Best (McCrory; class of 2013) was dismissed as just another small school back putting up big numbers. apparently Best didn't realize that he isn't "talented enough," because he ran MUCH faster than the "experts" predicted. the 5-10, 175-pound Best ran times of 4.56 and 4.59, proving he was one of the fastest attendees. decent speed combined with incredible production (running for 427 yards in a single game-the #5 all-time performance in state history; and scoring 7 touchdowns in a playoff game-the #1 performance in state history), should get Best a look ... if it weren't for the Caste System, that is.

a name virtually no one was talking about coming into the Combine was Jacob Eason (Van Buren; class of 2013), which is "weird" considering he is not only one of the state's top hurdlers (#2 at Meet of Champs and at the State meet in 300 hurdles; PR of 39.75), but he is also an explosive dual-threat quarterback (1,540 passing; 672 rushing; 15 touchdowns).

at 6-0, 180-pounds, Eason wasn't hard to spot at the Combine, though. he was the White kid who blazed a 4.47 in the 40. only two "real" affletes posted better top times.

hopefully these kids will get the attention they deserve by putting up even better numbers this fall.

the National Select 7-on-7 Championships are currently going on in Hoover, AL, and they'll be running through Saturday evening.

two Arkansas high school teams are participating in this year's tourney, with 32 teams from 13 different states competing.

you might be wondering why i'm bothering mentioning a 7-on-7 tournament, even a nationally-elite one. well, it's because three of the past seven winners of the National Select 7-on-7 have come from Northwest Arkansas: Springdale (2004), Shiloh Chrsitian (2006), and Springdale Har-Ber (2008).

and while it's obvious that 7-on-7 isn't real football, it does showcase the abilities of wideouts to get open and catch the ball, defensive backs' ability to cover, and whether or not quarterbacks can read coverages and hit their receivers. it is a game of skill and speed ... yet despite the fact that NWA schools are routinely among the nation's elite, virtually no wideouts or defensive backs from NWA are recruited ... only the quarterbacks are.

i wonder if it's because virtually all those talented wide receivers, safeties, and cornerbacks in Northwest Arkansas are White kids ...

barring something unforeseen, i'll be able to watch a lot of high school football around the state this fall. that being said, there is a pair of White speedsters that i am certainly going to try and see even though they don't play anywhere near my neck of the woods.

Heber Springs, a virtually all-White school, is a prime example of the Caste System in action. they have two of the fastest football players (and sprinters) in the entire state ... however, they happen to be White. so when two "real" speedsters (read that as two blacks who were slower, smaller, less productive, BUT they were black!!!) came to town, the White "boys" took a back seat.

at any rate, the blacks have "graduated" and are now playing college ball (despite being small and slow), and the two White kids finally get a crack at making plays.

Ethan Bly will be the primary tailback after only getting a handful of touches last year, despite averaging nearly 10 yards-per-carry (385 yards on 39 carries) and scorching defenses in the passing game with 309 yards receiving on only 10 catches (for a whopping 30.9 ypc average). oh, and he was the best defender on the team, as well, leading the team in tackles (42 solo), sacks (5), and interceptions (2).

at 5-11, 205-pounds, what makes Bly truly special is his breakaway speed. he might be the fastest 100-meter sprinter in the state, winning a 4A state championship in the 100 as a sophomore (an injured hamstring prevented him from defending his title as a junior). he's not just speed, though, as he can bench 300 pounds, squat 465, and power clean 265.

his running mate, both figuratively and literally, is fellow senior Clint Ligon. he should be the featured target in the passing game this season, while also chipping in at running back. the 6-1, 175-pound Ligon was the 4A state champion in both the 110- and 300-hurdles. he also hurdled a defender last year en route to scoring a touchdown, but in Arkansas that's against the rules so the amazing play was called back. weird.

at any rate, i'm eager to see these two kids showcase their speed, and i eagerly anticipate an opportunity to watch them play.

another White football athlete/sprinter that i will be going to see this fall is free safety Chase Lamers of Rogers High.

Lamers is the reigning Arkansas Gatorade Track Athlete of the Year. he won the 7A (Arkansas' largest classification) State Championship in both the 100- and 200-meters last year as a junior. he also took 3rd in the 200 and 4th in the 400 in the Meet of Champs. as a skinny junior (6-foot-2, 170-pounds), he proved himself to be one of the elite sprinters in the state.

this year, as the senior leader of an inexperienced Mounties secondary, he is looking to help Rogers improve from a disappointing 2-8 season a year ago. in addition to his experience, the fleet-footed (personal bests of 11.04 in the 100 and 22.16 in the 200) Lamers is expected to make a lot of plays and cover up his teammates' mistakes from his free safety spot. hopefully, the very skinny speedster has physically matured a bit over the summer. if he has, his already impressive speed will become much, much faster.

in the 100, the only other White runner (who takes second place) is Bradley Culp (Fayetteville High, AR). he is another terrific example of the Caste System, as he was a dominant receiver/cornerback who received virtually no interest from Division I football programs despite his ideal size (6-2, 180-pounds), game-breaking ability (had 65 receptions for 1,198 yards and 12 touchdowns while leading Fayetteville to the State Championship in football), obvious speed (4.4 in the 40) and athleticism (7A runner-up in the 100-meters, 3rd-place 110-hurdles, State Champ in the pole vault, 6th-place in the long jump, and State Champ in the decathlon; he was a two-time State Champ in the event). he ended up walking on to the Razorbacks, although he received a couple of late offers elsewhere.

the first big caste matchup of the 2012 football Arkansas high school season took place on Monday night, when all-White Shiloh Christian took on nearly all-black Warren. Shiloh emerged victorious, 26-25 in a thriller.

Shiloh Christian, a tiny private school with a total high school (grades 9-12) enrollment of approximately 200 total students, has once again set the bar high for themselves. they will be playing in Class 5A (the third-largest division of Arkansas high school football), despite having an enrollment that should have them competing in Class 2A (the smallest division). they voluntarily moved up in classification for the challenge, according to their coach, and aren't concerned with the hardships their small numbers will place on them.

they've won 7 State Championships since 1998, including 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010.

on Monday night, the Saints were ahead of the Lumberjacks 14-12 at the half, but gave up a couple of big plays (they struggled to stop the run all night, and gave up 300 yards rushing to the Lumberjacks' talented tailback) and found themselves down 25-14 with 4:44 left in the game. fortunately, Shiloh has a potent air attack, led by senior wide receiver Ryan Michaelis.

the affletic secondary simply couldn't stop the "hustling, blue collar-wearing, lunch pail-bringing, precise route running, overacheiving, gym rat" when it mattered. Michaelis caught 2 touchdown passes (from 46 yards and 15 yards) as part of his 9-catch, 214-yard night, and it was just enough to allow the Saints to emerge with the win over class 4A (despite an enrollment several times larger than Shiloh's) powerhouse Warren.

two more caste matchups will take place tomorrow night (Thursday, August 30) at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, when tough-but-not-very-talented (and mostly-White) Siloam Springs from Class 6A takes on nearly all-black (and #3 in Class 5A) Watson Chapel, followed by extremely talented, defending 7A (Arkansas' largest classification) State Champion, and #1-ranked in the state (and nearly all-White) Fayetteville High faces off against diverse Memphis University High School (TN).

weather permitting, i will be in attendance for both of those games.

Who is Shiloh's QB this year?

junior Daniel Shimer won the competition to be the starter, but he injured an ankle in game-week practice and was out for the season opener. Casey Paraday (a senior) took the snaps against Warren and was solid.

Shimer, when healthy, brings a dynamic dual-threat option to the job, as he was one of the top 200-meter sprinters in the state as a sophomore. Paraday is more of a traditional qb.

a brief re-cap from my Thursday night's game-watching:

Siloam Springs gave a game effort, but they simply aren't very good and were significantly overmatched against Warren (who started just 3 White men: the quarterback, the center/team captain, and a defensive tackle). the Panthers hit hard, but they're slow and small, and their two best defenders are sophomores. it'll be a long year for Siloam Springs' fans.

the Fayetteville-Memphis University School matchup wasn't nearly as caste-significant as i thought it would be. Fayetteville had a lone black offensive starter (highly overrated tailback Brice Gahagans) and appeared to have two black starters on defense (a corner and a defensive tackle). Memphis University appeared to start only one black starter on defense (a corner), but their offense was more racially-appropriate. they started a black tailback and three black receivers to go along with a snow plow, a White qb, and a White receiver. Memphis University ran away with the contest.

in other big-school news, all-White Cabot knocked off all-black Jacksonville, all-White Rogers-Heritage upset diverse Fort Smith Southside, (almost) all-White Bentonville beat up on Kansas City (MO) Rockhurst, all-White Springdale Har-Ber got whooped by Webb City (MO), and (almost) all-White Lake Hamilton got smoked by mostly-black North Little Rock.

one last game to mention is the Pulaski Academy-Chaminade (CA) contest. the PA Bruins, a nearly all-White private school just outside of Little Rock is much like Shiloh Christian, in that both teams have a small student body yet compete against teams with a much larger enrollment. in the case of traveling to California, they played a team with a much, much larger enrollment. still, PA led for most of the game and had a 13-point lead with less than 3 minutes, before turnovers ruined their chances. ultimately, they lost by 10, 49-39. still it was a very impressive effort for the away team.

a couple of individual performances of note:

Gravette's junior tailback Cody Robinson ran for 208 yards and 1 touchdown on 24 carries in a win over Lamar.

Pea Ridge all-state tailback Dayton Winn (a senior) ran for 225 yards and 5 touchdowns in a blowout win over Elkins.

Gentry's Jerod Cousins, a junior starting in his first game at quarterback after shifting from wide receiver, ran for 195 yards and 3 touchdowns and threw for another score in a stiff contest against West Fork.

i forgot to mention defensive lineman Brennan Warren's big season debut. the Farmington senior had 4 sacks and helped hold Huntsville to a mere 47 yards rushing in the Cardinals' opening game.
