Surprise surprise, Andy Lee is fighting on Friday! I try to keep on top of all of these dates, but this one slipped by me.

Fellow Irishmen John Duddy is also fighting on Friday. And Kelly Pavlik, Vladimir Virchis, Dzinziruk, and Thomas Ulrich are all fighting on Saturday.

Some people think Andy Lee has superstar potential, even more potential than John Duddy. I'd like to see him on TV sometime.

hey what time is the Andy Lee fight?  what channel?

I don't think it was on TV but I've seen him fight a couple of times and he's quite impressive and looks more impressive every time out. Of course he's feasting on tomato cans just like any prospect starting out his career(with the exception of Povetkin).

BTW, he won the fight, 1st round KO.Edited by: Kaiser_Sose

Espn2 has been doing alot of wall to wall classic fights recently and they have never shown a Klitchko fight. The only white guy that I have seen lately is Arturo Gatti. They have no excuse, they can't say they don't show overseas fighters because they show Lennox Lewis all the time.

Sergei Dzinziruk is another excellent East European boxer. I'd love to see him fight Floyd Mayweather. I see boxrec.com has moved Sergei up to #4 on their Light Middleweight rankings.

A great short left uppercut to the body ended the fight (Andy Lee's fight that is)

Guess what? Andy scored a first round KO on Tuesday! Didn't even know he was fighting. That was his sixth fight in '07. And according to Boxrec he's fighting again on 10/18.Like Abell, he's scoring a bunch of early KO's and needs to get some rounds under his belt.

Here's a live stream of the Andy Lee vs. Jason McKay fight on Irish TV (it starts in about half an hour):

stream to fight

This could be a good fight - Jason McKay is a decent boxer.

Good performance by Lee today. McKay received a bad beating, especially in the 5th and 6th rounds - his face was bloodied and bruised. His corner mercifully stopped the fight after the 6th round.

Here's a live stream of the AG Falliga vs. Andy Lee fight on Irish TV Saturday Feb 2:

Andy Lee reminds me of Joe Calzaghe when he was younger and knocked out most of his opponents.

Lee is definitely one to watch at 160. By the time Andy fights for a belt, Pavlik will be at 168 or 175.

In 2-3 years a list of the top-10 in each division from welterweight to heavyweight will be as white as a John Edwards campaign rally.

The fight starts in two hours: 1 pm Pacific, 4 pm Eastern time. I enjoy the Irish commentators on these RTE broadcasts - I wish they would come over to the US and replace Max Kellerman and Teddy Atlas!

It was delayed ten minutes, it's on now. McCloskey is fighting a Mexican first in a preliminary. Another good white fighter.

Real Player works better for this stream than Windows Media Player. Click the Real Player icon and it should come on...

Is it working now Maple Leaf?

Damn, I turned it on just now in the fifth round, could hear the announcers calling the knockdowns but the picture was very sporadic. Nice win for Lee even though I missed it, as an Irish friend of mine used to say he has "the map of Ireland on his face."

Lee wins by TKO in the 5th round, after the 3rd knockdown in less than a minute.

His opponent, Falliga, had never been stopped before.
