So I guess AD should be considered ahead of CN for the pro-bowl now?

Yes, Andy Dalton is very impressive, which is rare for a rookie QB. I have high hopes for Jake Locker and Christian Ponder, but Dalton clearly has the right combination of skills, brainpower and mental toughness and should have a very fine career.

The Newton/Tebow-type dual threat QB's are always gonna be hurt where the QB rating is concerned. It doesn't factor in rushing statistics. As well as Andy's played this year, I don't think he'll touch Cam in any type of pro bowl voting. The voters will view Cam's 464 yards and 10 TD's more favorably than Andy's 81 yards and 1 TD.

Offensive ROY might be a little closer, but I'm afraid A.J. Green may steal some of Andy's votes.

Some miscommunication occurred in the latter part of the CIN/BAL game, but the main thing that doomed them, IMO, was Gresham's fumble when Cinci was building momentum on a drive. What a dufus.. he totally exposed the ball and Suggs knocked it out. It was quite comical and appropriate for this franchise!

Anyhow, congrats to Andy Dalton on his first postseason appearance!!

Andy Dalton has played very well so far in his second season, especially the last few weeks. He led the Bengals to a rare (for them) playoff spot as a rookie last year, and they're in the hunt again this year despite not having a lot of talent.

Dalton wasn't given much chance of developing into a franchise quarterback by the media and DWF Nation after he was drafted, and he's still pretty much invisible despite his very solid and continually improving play. The only downside to his success is that it helps to extend the Caste reign of Marvin Lewis, but as long as Mike Brown's the owner in Cincinnati the Bengals will always ignore White players outside of quarterback and the o-line.

He also led the Bengals to the playoffs his first two seasons, following 20 years of the team being awful just about season, and they look like a cinch to make them again in 2013.

Currently Dalton has thrown for over 300 yards in three straight games, tying Ken Anderson's team record, and has thrown for 11 TDs during that span, a team record. Dalton's career has been a lot like that of Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco, being thrown into the mix right away as a rookie and immediately leading his team to the playoffs on a yearly basis. Would be nice to see him shine tonight against the Dolphins on the Thursday night game.

Yes, Dalton doesn't get the credit he deserves. There are still people suggesting he's merely average. Clearly he's a franchise QB.

Dalton should be given all the attention over someone like Robert Griffin. Dalton's a better player.

I read the article. It's noticable how the author makes excuses for the black QBs.

Dalton is a top 10 QB in the league. He didn't play his best game tonight but his good performances outweigh his bad ones. The way he is overlooked pisses me off so much. Even Bengal DWFs do not appreciate how good he really is.

Last week, I heard an ESPN anchor (I believe John Anderson) refer to Andy Dalton as “Ginger Juice” while discussing Bengals.

A few days ago, I heard another ESPN anchor (this time John Buccigross) yell out “Ginger Power” while a clip played of Dalton throwing a TD.

On ESPN First Take, Stephen A. Smith referred to Dalton as “the Richie Cunningham of the new millennium.” Of course, he’s referring to the straight-laced, red-haired, blue-eyed “Happy Days” TV show character from the 1970’s…

Naturally, only whites (more frequently, white men) can be mocked in any way for their physical appearance. A negro would never be so much as teased for having steel wool-like pubic hair on their heads, or purple lips resembling inner tubes, or golf ball-sized nostrils, or having soulless black bug eyes, or being habitually overweight, or their physical similitude to great apes…let alone being traditionally languid, or lacking aptitude, or being poor, or having STD’s, or being arrested at alarming rates, or having a shocking illegitimacy rate, or being illiterate, or having a tremendous propensity to carnal violence, etc.

I’m tired of Dalton being belittled by the corporate media bullies for having the most unique hair color on the planet. “Ginger” should be a racial slur, but of course, as Don has attested for years, making fun of whites is the New National Pastime. It’s annoying, it’s inappropriate, it’s rude, it’s unprofessional, it’s unnecessary, and it's racist.

Dalton has been lights out so far this season. His accuracy ranks up there with that of Tom Brady and Drew Brees (when he isn't dealing with a shoulder problem). Dalton was terrific in 2013 as well, but last year he didn't have Tyler Eiffert and Marvin Jones to throw to. Cincy's offense is fun to watch, especially when Eiffert is heavily involved.

But Dalton's army of critics, who love to make fun of his hair color, won't be satisfied until the Bengals win a playoff game or two. It doesn't matter that Dalton has won more games than any QB in the league during his career other than Brady. They always mention how much talent the Bengals have, but when they lose in the playoffs it's always Dalton's fault alone. As with many White athletes, the criticism is often irrational. The reality is that the Bengals been a fringe playoff team, never one of the favorites. This could be the first year when they're favored to make a run.

While the national media may throw out "ginger juice" or "ginger power" as a slur from personal experience red-heads actually are absolutely amazing to most black people and have almost mythical powers above the normal dark haired or blond white man in their mind.

Black kids will usually look up to a red-head and think that we are somehow a entirely different breed of white people.I'm not huge but always had black kids compare me to the WWE's Undertaker and they were slightly scared of a big white guy with red hair.Black women have always hit on me more than they would with any other white guy and do it right in front of their "brothas" without a second thought.If a red-head stands up to the "brothas" in middle-high school and the white guy responds with violence they are given a free pass for the rest of their HS years,because "that dude will kill yo ass".

I'm willing to bet that even with all the negative coverage Dalton receives he is still feared by the other players on the field just because he is a "ginger" and they know that we are a different breed.While he has taken a ton of flak from the media(BSPN) how often do you hear the actual players say anything bad about the man?

Dalton is a hell of a QB and should end up with a nice career before he retires and the only people that will degrade him is the limp-wrist ******* on BSPN.

I like Dalton but I am afraid he might end up a victim of circumstance as I am seeing Brady-Bledoe all over again because McCarron is that good. This could end up becoming McCarrons team before you know it.
