The Eagles are down an “exciting White” as safety Reed Blankenship has moved on to Texas, otherwise they look much like they have in recent seasons with 6 White starters and 16 overall.
By comparison, the 2025 roster featured the highwater mark from the last five seasons with 7 White starters and 17 overall; the ’24 numbers were 5 and 16; the 2023 team had 6 and 12; and in 2022 the numbers were 4 White starters and 15 overall.
Cornerback Cooper DeJean and running back Will Shipley are the two remaining exciting Whites on the 53 following Blankenship’s departure. DeJean started as a rookie and is an exceptional athlete. He and Riley Moss have done much to dispel the notion that Whites are incapable of playing cornerback after a decades-long whiteout at the position, not that it’s going to result in any noticeable changes in how Whites are recruited and the opportunities they are given at that position. White “outliers” never change anything; they only serve the purpose of reinforcing the Caste System’s Big Lie that sports is a meritocracy that even “allows” an “overachieving” White to occasionally play otherwise all black positions when it is in fact a long entrenched racial spoils system that never deviates from its basic (anti-White) template.
DeJean is also playing safety this season, lining up all over the defensive backfield, but no one still claims that he’s incapable of playing cornerback at a very high level.
Shipley, as seems to usually be the case on those rare occasions when a White running back is drafted, remains stuck behind Saquon Barkley, one of the best in the league. However, Barkley’s performance declined noticeably last season and at 29 years old appears to be on the downside of his career, a downside that can accelerate quickly with running backs.
Will Shipley had a 9.58 RAS coming out of Clemson, the 81st best ever out of 1,903 running backs. He accumulated 3,349 total yards and scored 33 TDs to go along with that elite athleticism yet wasn’t drafted until the fourth round and now languishes at the bottom of the depth chart in Philadelphia. He should be a starting running back in the NFL, period.
But Shipley is currently the third string RB, behind Barkley and Tank Bigsby. He is easily the best receiver of the three and if Barkley should be injured Shipley should see a fair amount of snaps and might surpass Bigsby under the right circumstances. For now, however, it looks like his third consecutive wasted NFL season.
As usual the Eagles have a White dominated offensive line, the starters being LG Cam Jurgens, C Drew Kendall, RG Tyler Steen, and the great Lane Johnson at LT. There no White backups on the two deep.
Dallas Goedert out of South Dakota State remains one of the better starting tight ends in the league. He’s backed up by veteran Johnny Mundt. Philly drafted a WGA in the second round this year to replace Goedert, Eli Stowers, but by all reports Stowers looks like a bust in the making and is currently on IR.
The Eagles are carrying three White backup quarterbacks – Andy “Red Rifle” Dalton, who is soon to turn 39, along with Tanner McKee and Cole Payton. Both McKee and Payton have plenty of talent. McKee is a traditional pocket passer while Payton, out of North Dakota State, both passes and runs well, but is decried as “raw” or a “project” when black QBs from similar backgrounds seldom are (see Lance, Trey for a great example).
WR Britain Covey is primarily a WSTD who also returns punts. In six seasons with the Eagles, during which time he has been waived and moved up and down from the practice squad 27 times and counting, he has a career total of 13 NFL receptions.
Besides DeJean, the only other White defensive player is end/tackle Ty Robinson from Nebraska, who was drafted in the fourth round last year but played very little as a rookie. Per usual, the DWFs, taking their cue as always from the hive mind Caste media, were already pronouncing Robinson a bust, but fortunately for him he looked outstanding during preseason games.
The Eagles have two other “exciting Whites” on the practice squad, running back Carson Steele and rookie safety Cole Wisniewski. Steele was undrafted (though he should have been) and having no draft capital was quickly discarded by the Chiefs after getting a chance to start following some injuries but he fumbled twice, a fatal error for an undrafted White running back. Ever since, Steele has kicked around on the KC and now Philly practice squads. It’s unlikely he’ll ever get another chance as a running back in a regular season game, again unless the injury bug strikes in a big way.
The Eagles draft and sign more “exciting Whites” than any other team, but only Blankenship and DeJean have been used as starters, which makes Philadelphia overall an unlikeable team. If Shipley ever gets a chance to start, and if the declining QB Jalen Hurts is replaced by McKee or Payton at some point in the next season or two, this could be one of the better teams to root for. But not in 2026.

Kevin Curtis was a speedster drafted in the third round in 2003 by the Rams during the Mike Martz era when the Rams were easily the relatively White friendliest team in the NFL. He played eight seasons and in 2007, the only season he was used as a starter, he responded with 77 receptions for 1,110 yards and 6 TDs for the Eagles, then coached by Andy Reid, who must have been taking some kind of anti-Caste medication that season. This video was put together by long-time CF stalwart poster Dwid, though I’m not a fan of the music he chose for it.
Another brief deviation from the Eagles’ long-time adherence to the Caste System occurred in 2013 when Riley Cooper, a tall, fast receiver out of Florida, caught 47 passes for 835 yards and 8 TDs, an excellent per catch average of 17.8 yards. That was the year Chip Kelly put together a roster that was just under half-White and may even have briefly been majority White. That of course didn’t last any longer than Fat Bastard’s one year use of Curtis, and Cooper committed the crime against humanity of using the n-word in a private conversation, which shortened his pro career even while Kelly deserves credit for supporting Cooper after his heinous crime was exposed.
