2026 NFL Week Two

It is now being reported that Josh Allen played last night with the flu! This guy is incredible and superhuman.
 
Allen is truly a unicorn he is one of one and we may never see such a good runner and passer in the NFL again.

Barring a catastrophic injury he will either be the number 1 or 2 rusher of all time for quarterbacks and he doesn't seem to be slowing down unlike Newton who was on visible vapors by the time he turned 30.

I hope this is the year he gets to the Super Bowl as after 2 games his team looks as good as I ever seen them with him at the helm.
 
The Lions have given up 660+ yards passing, 6 receiving TDs, and 10 total TDs for 71 points in two games. It's easy to look at Ben Johnson's early success as head coach in Chicago and assume he is the missing keystone. Really, their secondary just sucks, which has been the case for years now. It's the one place Holmes and Campbell have never tried to bust the caste system. Extra strange that Dan Jackson did not even get a practice squad offer - the shortest distance between two points is that he got on someone's bad side during training camp. Do Jahmyr or Amon-Ra have enough pull to get a fringe player cut outright?

I remember last year (2025) in the preseason the staff voicing disappointment Jackson was lost to injury only to dump him in the 2026 White purge. He's currently on the free agent workout circuit, Ethan Bonner is on the practice squad. Neither of them is any worse than the players currently on the Lions secondary depth chart.
 
Wentz starting for the Vikings and Rush for the Falcons. Would like to see Strand get some regular season playing time if I am being honest.
 
WR Michael Pittman out with an injury for the Steelers. Will Skowronek or Wetjen get a bump in snaps or will the Steelers stick with "underachiever" Roman Wilson and the rookie Bernard behind the wildly over-rated D. K. Metcalf, who as I've detailed was terrible last week, nearly singlehandedly costing Pittsburgh the game.

Ladd McConkey wants to play today with a flak jacket to protect his rib injury. He's listed as questionable for LAC's late game.
 
Linebackers Troy Reeder, Justin Barron and Cole Christiansen all practice squad elevations for their respected teams. FB Adam Prentice as well.
 
Don, as a yinzer, if we were told last year that Kaden Wetjen and Eli Heidenreich would be on the team and both back there returning the opening kickoff.......we wouldn’t believe it. Awesome.

I’m stuck with a coal bowl with the Jets vs Blackers. The one bright spot has been Lukas Van Ness. It’s no exaggeration to say he’s been the best player on the field.

4 tackles (2 for losses), a sack and a QB hit. He’s been terrifying Geno for the entire 1st quarter.

I'm stuck with Carolina/Atlanta. Anyone have the Eagles/Titans? I'm trying to follow on espn gamecast. Shipley 7 for 24 yards. 7 yard carry.
