2026 NFL Preseason

Ravens rookie QB Joe Fagnano with another very good performance - 19/27 162 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 TD rush. Might end up being the preseason passing leader.
 
Cody Schrader with one rush for 9 yards and 2 catches for 31 yards so far in the Denver-Minnesota game. The announcers were hyping Cody at the beginning of the game but unfortunately Denver has four running backs ahead of him with NFL experience plus the rookie Jonah Coleman. At best Schrader's trying to get noticed enough to end up yet again on the practice squad of the Broncos or another team. Has to be more than frustrating for the man who led the hallowed SEC in rushing yards in 2023 with 1,627, 365 more yards than the runner-up.

Denver fullback Adam Prentice scored on a short run and converted a third down earlier. He's run the same play with success several other times this preseason.

Carson Wentz starting for the Vikings. McCarthy has a minor ankle injury but it's very possible he's traded for peanuts. It's a shame he had so little opportunity when healthy. Now we get to see if the midget turns out to be the great QB so many DWFs think he'll become under Kevin O'Connell. My bet is no not even close, with a good chance Wentz starts some games, or even McCarthy if he isn't traded.
 
Carson Steele is leading the Eagles with 32 yards receiving on 5 catches. Unfortunately he only has 9 yards on 4 rush attempts.
 
Steele with the receiving TD! He had a good drive. Up to 23 rushing and 41 receiving yards.

Recent history has shown us how the media relentlessly attacks Whites QBs - Darnold, Mayfield, Daniel Jones, Pickett, Mac Jones have all drawn the ire of the media and were not given a fair shake or time to develop with their original team (Even this year their are already people attacking Mendoza). McCarthy has been the target since the midget was signed in free agency. McCarthy seemed to be the pick of the Somalian GM who was ousted and O'Connell frankly has not lived up to his supposed "qb whisperer" label. Murray has enjoyed a long slow decline as a starter over 7 seasons, living off his rookie season and I doubt he brings any type of success to the Vikings. This black privilege also applies to Bryce Young and Jordan Love who are viewed as franchise QBs. Justin Fields was given three opportunities as a starter - Chicago, Pittsburgh and with the Jets. This decade is littered with mediocre black 1st round QBs being protected by the media and their delusional racially neutered fan bases. No one talks about it but this decade has given us 2 of the biggest QB busts of all time in Trey Lance and Anthony Richardson.

Meanwhile, we see White QBs perform very well in the preseason only to be brushed away, have their ability mocked and derided because it's "only preseason" with no chance to develop long term. The draft cucks have already turned the page and are forming up their black heavy 2027 QB class narrative.
 
Cash Jones had an uneventful final game for Atlanta. He seemed the come on late too so I wouldn’t expect him to make the team. Practice squad could be a good landing spot for him.

It will be interesting to see if the Falcons goymaxxx and cut both Jones and Strand. Strand played late in the game as well and was very good, his INT was the result of the ball hitting RB Nathan Carter square in the hands and him not being able to handle the ball resulting in an INT off of deflection.
 
Jack Heflin, a defensive tackle, lead the Jets with 9 total tackles tonight. He’s a good player out of Iowa who has so far been jerked around by many NFL teams. At 28, will he get a chance? The Jets, and Aaron Glenn, would be wise to Whiten up the defense ala the Lions. Unlikely they do.
 
One of the most comical combined “efforts” by the eagles defense there. They just have a up a 39 yard rushing TD and pretty much the whole defense showed no interest in hustling or trying to tackle the ball carrier.

No opportunity for a perp shot either.

It’s only preseason but the Eagles look bad. Other than Steele and Shipley, they’ve been pretty lifeless on offense. With Hurts and Barkley showing signs of decline last year, I wonder if this year the Eagles fall back to mediocrity.
 
Jack Pyburn has been in the headlines as one of the players who may jump back to college (LSU) if the Bucs cut him. Bold claim, but after he was jerked around in the draft and not selected, can we really blame him? Well after tonight, he’s going to make that decision tougher with a 4 tackle (3 for losses), 2 sack, 2 QB pressure game. That’s the type of impact game needed by many of our UDFA guys.
 
I’m not sure this was mentioned, but the Rams trade RB Jarquez Hunter which gives Dean Connors a legitimate shot to make the 53 man roster.



Connors rushed 18 times for 69 yards and brought in all three targets for 24 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' 20-18 preseason win over the Chargers on Thursday.

Connors led the Rams in rush attempts and rushing yards on the night, as the undrafted rookie got an extended look in the wake of the trade of fellow back Jarquez Hunter to the Dolphins earlier Thursday. Connors rushed 26 times for 96 yards and added a 7-53-3 receiving line over three preseason games, with his latest trip to the end zone being an eight-yard touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter. Connors seemingly has a solid chance of sticking on the 53-man roster as the No. 3 running back, given his versatility and body of work this summer.

Schrader finished with his best preseason game. 13 carries for 42 yards (team high) and 6 catches for 90 yards (!!!) and a TD.

Glad to see Schrader explode with a big game. It seems that every White RB this preseason has fared well especially in the passing game. Steele put together a great preseason as well for the Eagles.
 
This squib sees Eli Heidenreich battling Kaleb Johnson, who is already looking like a mega-bust, for the final RB spot. The local Pittsburgh media, which is usually better connected, doesn't see Eli making the 53 even if Johnson is cut, but if Heidenreich goes on the practice squad it's possible another team will claim him which would be a PR disaster for the Steelers, after drafting the hometown kid in a memorable scene at the draft in Pittsburgh and then losing him after he showed well all preseason. Here's hoping for the best for Eli.

Analysis: Johnson is probably battling Eli Heidenreich (35 yards and a touchdown) for what could be the last spot on the running back depth chart. A third round pick just last year, Johnson is actually expected be cut in the coming days, a scenario unthinkable at this time last year. Unfortunately, he just hasn't shown much on the field. Dynasty managers may be dealing with a quick bust here and his spot on fantasy rosters this year is far from secure.
 
This was the run I brought up last night with the minimal to no effort exhibited by the Eagles coal black defense. #45 missed the tackle, he's a light skinned or mulatto - Brandon George. From that missed tackle it's a true comedy of errors, lack of hustle or effort by the supposed 2nd/3rd tier of the "world's greatest athletes".

Number 64's comical whiff at the seven-eight second mark is the highlight for me.
 
That Cinci RB also looks very short and slow. Hardly some sort of athletic specimen that the coal defensive scrubs can’t wrap up. Pathetic indeed.
 
Riley Leonard seems to have blown his opportunity to be the back up QB for the Colts. Disappointing to say the least. No sign of Anderson Castle, did he make the team? or is he just late game fodder in the final preseason game of the year?

It sounds like the Steelers will keep 4 QBs but if I were the Colts I would make a move for Mason Rudolph.

The best case scenario for Wetjen this season is that the Steelers use him at least a little as a receiver, and he continues to make some plays, which then contrasts with the ineptness of the two upsiders who are battling to be WRs 3 and 4 (if they do turn out to be inept), causing Wetjen's playing time as a receiver to slowly increase. Injuries would obviously help as well, and Aaron Rodgers makes it very clear when he's unhappy with receivers, and he may be a factor in helping Wetjen see more playing time as the season goes on. A long shot to be sure given the Caste System, but far from an impossibility.

Wetjen being used so little as a receiver at Iowa (just 23 catches in three years) is an indictment of Kirk Ferentz, who while a CF favorite overall, has clear deficiencies when it comes to offense and playing the right talent on that side of the ball.

Same day, the Rams traded away Jarquez Hunter — one of his direct RB-room competitors — to Miami for WR Tutu Atwell, with a beat outlet noting the team "weren't exactly keen on him" behind Williams/Corum/Rivers. SI/Onsi's direct take: "Connors made his case for the roster," specifically citing his pass-catching as a skill the room otherwise lacks. Best-looking outlook of the group right now.


GENUINE BUBBLE, complicated by a trade — Lan Larison (Patriots)
Main competitor Hassan Haskins was released, but only because the Patriots traded for RB Corey Kiner, whom beat writers say is now "at or near the head of the line" for the RB3 job. Most recent projection has Larison making the 53 in a 4-man room, but flags real risk of him getting cut for a waiver claim instead. Rough finale (0 catches on 2 targets, including a drop). Genuinely unresolved.


UNRESOLVED, leaning cut — Anderson Castle (Colts)
Direct competitor Ulysses Bentley IV was confirmed waived and re-signed to the practice squad. A separate post-cut projection lists only McGowan and Bentley behind Taylor, with Castle absent. No direct transaction confirming Castle's own fate found yet.


LIKELY PRACTICE SQUAD — Cody Schrader (Broncos)
