2026 NFL Draft

In my harassing of the Senior Bowl executive Drew Fabianich I mentioned that Jordan Van den Berg deserves an invite. I posted this under OG Keylan Rutledge's senior bowl invite announcement and i got a like from Jordan.

Leonardfan, great job. Peter Woods of Clemson, who appears to be a Asian/African mix, might be a fine player. But if he's projected as a top 10 overall pick by most DWF's and Kiper, there is no reason (other than race) that Jordan van den Berg should not be, at least, a 2nd round pick. None!

Juxtapose their current stats this season: Jordan van den Berg vs. Peter Woods. van den Berg tops him in every notable category. They, basically, play the same schedule, too.

Also, when you look at the workout numbers Jordan has reportedly flashed (post#67), he can not be deemed a "lunchpail" or "overachiever" type, ala Bill Norton, who is currently on the PSquad of the Rams. If anything, he's probably much closer to Norton's Rams teammate Braden Fiske, who was an absolute steal as an early 2nd round pick back in 2024.

Again, van den Berg was twice (2 years) named to The Athletic’s list of college football's athletic “freaks”, reportedly benching 455 pounds, back-squatting 690, running a 4.74 40-yard dash (at 300 lbs.), clocking a shuttle drill of 4.2 seconds and jumping a vertical of 36.5 inches.

He must receive a Senior Bowl invite. Absolute no-brainer. All the Senior Bowl clowns have to do is check his computer/workout numbers, coupled with his on field production.

Two more White OL invited to the Senior Bowl

C Jake Slaughter Florida
OT Alex Harkey Oregon

Shrine Bowl - LB Lander Barton with an invite.

An obvious early trend is White athletes being ignored while black teammates get invites - No invite for Wisniewski for Texas Tech. 2 Iowa players invited - a non-descript unimpressive black CB and the kicker. 5 White defensive players from Iowa deserve invites along with Wetjen.

We see this trend every year and it’s so maddening. This alone should cause DWFs of these programs to question things, as they understand who their top guys are, but I guess most humans are not very intelligent or inquisitive.

I had several SEC DWFs “tell me who cares”
When I posted this under a Burlsworth Trophy thread on X:

So far only 13 of 65 invites to the Senior Bowl are White. The new head of the Senior Bowl is just as bad as Nagy was.

The Senior Bowl looks to be even worse this year. Just a constant flow of nondescript blacks while ignoring the White talent across the country.

ESPN did the NFL Draft prospects for each of the 12 CFB Playoffs Teams

A little more promising for White DBs

Alabama's Bray HUBBARD going in the 2nd Round
Hubbard is ranked as the No. 2 safety in the class by most teams thanks to his playmaking (four interceptions, three forced fumbles) and pro size at 6-foot-2 and 213 pounds.

Oregon's Dillon THEINEMAN 3rd Round pick
Thieneman had a lot of buzz after transferring from Purdue and has lived up to the hype, with two interceptions and 64 tackles on a loaded defense.

Big 6'-4" 220 Texas Tech DB Cole WISNIEWSKI 6th Round

Little too light with the WRs
Only Draft prospect for JMU is Nick DeGennaro made the list as a 7th Round selection
The first-round matchup between Oregon and James Madison might seem like David vs. Goliath, given the number of draftable Ducks versus the one Dukes prospect listed here. But the 6-foot-1, 198-pound DeGennaro has a prime opportunity to prove he can hang with the best of the best when going head-to-head with Dan Lanning's defense.

Of couse up & coming Indiana 6'-4" WR Charlie Becker is just a Soph. But you can see glimpses of talent when he's allowed to play
(6-126 vs Ohio State ; 7- 118 vs Penn State; 5-108 vs Wisconsin)

Also UGA WR London Humphries is just a Junior; hopefully comes back for a solid Senior season

Awesome to see a Safety that high!

DeGennaro has a chance to boost his draft stock tonight against Oregon’s 4 and 5 star CBs!!
